@123nova 1998 supra from factory is about 3800 lbs i believe.

nova from factory was about 4200 i think.

400 lbs wont make a whole lot difference with an extra 1000 hp.

1500 hp supra does 1/4 in about 8 sec. with a full interior and a factory 6 spd tranny. just saying.

@dwnrety1 The Supra that are you are talking about with 1500hp and Factory Tranny does 9 seconds, not 8. Please don't try to make it seem that it does 8 seconds just because the fastest time that it ever ran was an 8.99.

sounded like he lifted early on in that run too, turbo's are the way to go in alot of cases IMO and alot of guys are getting real good results from them, far more efficient than blowers.

@RIPSNZ Cept that turbos can melt a lot easier then superchargers, which is probably why top fuel drag cars still use superchargers.

top fuel uses superchargers instead of turbos for the same reason they stopped running full 1/4 mile passes, safety hazard of not beign able to slow down, turbochargers are more efficient, make more power = faster

@ericjoshmaloney they stopped because one of the top fuel dragster got killed during a drag race. they shorten it by 300 feet to allow for more braking room and a safer ride
