(BTW, the screech that I remember from the '50-'60s was nearly ear-splitting. I see they've found a way to tone that down a little. Lower decibels. A little less color and fun - we really knew the L was around, but much better for ears.)

I love the sound that subway and elevated trains make, reminds me of living in a city. Can't wait to move back to one, hopefully Chicago.
