The sounds was real bad on this one mate... I remember this game on the old Speccy too... a lot of fun!

AVI files do take up a hell of a lot of space mate, I use them on my computer and have to delete them after a couple so as to free up some room on my hard drive ha ha cheers ;o)

Thats alright for the price i think.

The program you use to record maybe isnt the best, the frame rate of the capture isnt the same as the game itself. Its frame skipping i think.

Cpu with more cache and a faster speed makes encoding faster but not recording.

Recording and encoding is nothing to do with hard drive space. thats just storage.

I had this game as a kid, but back then I couldn't get my head around the control method and gave up.

No idea why as I used to play Ivan Ironman Stuarts Super Off-Road on the NES for hours at a time with friends.
