Christians may find comfort from it but many others have suffered under the people wielding that symbol. Just as many feel sick at the sight of a swastika. Christians may find comfort from it but many others have suffered under the people wielding that symbol. Just as many feel sick at the sight of a swastika. A lot of bad things were done in the name of these symbols and they cast a large and brutal shadow over human history. As for burnings, I think it's silly to make a martyr of your opponent. Better to take down their ideas.

I often wonder why christians like the crucifix. It is a symbol of murderous state power. That power was what executed their hero by nailing him to a cross and letting him bleed to death. What a grotesque image. While I do appreciate the macabre sense of theater it evokes, it hardly represents the joy of life christians claim to promote.
