  • Bert/Selena, thanks for sending this one.... it's one of your better ones... love you guys!

  • oh my god my father used to listen to you in Stockholm! we have your CD and we are in England i love it !!!!!!!

  • We were in England last year, Birmingham Jazz Festival.

    Kind regards,

    Bert Brandsma

    Bert Brandsma

  • Great clarinet playing. Sounds a bit like Barney Bigard in his days with Duke Ellington.

  • Excellent performance of the St. Louis Blues.

    Picture clarity is excellent

  • The circumstances where not very furtunate with this strong backlight, but I slowly am learning more about improving the picture quality. Someone from Argentine who worked for the TV there is helping me. I am very gratefull for that!

  • Great playing Bert. Bravo.

Is that clarinet by chance an R-13 from Buffet & Crampon? (late 1960's model)

  • The clarinet is Buffet / Crampon, but the model is RC. I bought it secondhand, since my earlier clarinet had the wood broken.

I guess this one dates from the 1980's.

  • great playing Bert. What clarinet are you playing, and what reed?

  • It is all pretty classical, like my saxophone setup. The clarinet is Buffet Crampon RC, the reeds I use (And on most saxes) Vandoren #3. I think I have a vandoren mouthpiece also on my clarinet, but I don't even know that for sure.

You know I love to play clarinet, but only practise saxophone. Just take out the Clarinet on gigs, I know that should be forbidden, but I have so many saxes that practising on the alto is the reality. The rest I only take out at home when there is an important gig.
