I got one of those. I actually had to build a little platform to put it on a incline because otherwise it just flew straight up, touch the ceiling and fall straight back down, a foot off by bed. I just had to reach a little bit the get it. But it's effective! Got rid of my waking up problem.

Well I was up till 5 at a friends house when he forgot to deactivate his alarm for school. So it went of at 6. I couldn't find it and him being a heavy sleeper it didn't wake him up. I finally got it off by using ipod headphones to press the reset button... fml

see if you are going to make alarm clocks at a factory you need to make them as iritating as you can. That way they will get broken (smashed/drowend/microwaved) and it will create a market of new clocks that will make you more money.

I bought a sonic alert with the vibrating unit +extension cord. Have not tried the vibrating unit yet. It seems to work better for me, although not the SONIC BOOM I was expecting. I like it because it has adjustable volume and also the pitch can be adjusted. This is good for me because I tend to remember sounds. This way I can vary the sound enough so it is new. I bought the analogue-face clock and it also has flashing lights when the alarm goes off which really helps.
