What vocal practice do you use? or did you use? I'm interested in strengthing my vocals and really want to become a better singer any help would be great!
This is amazing, man. Don't listen to all of the people saying you use auto-tune. As a musician I've had my experience with auto-tune and I know that there's no way you could have hid it that well. I was listening intently and I didn't hear any steps or squiggles. Again, great job.

@mitchellemmen gotta agree with matt here. it totally sounds like you're using a pitch corrector and an effect but hey, the fact is that every proffesionally done recording and albums use a pitch corrector and proper editing done by a producer and mixer. not becuase the artist needs it but just to fine tune and make it 100% immaculate. its just when they use it live that it blows so dont get so defense. and you're good but your singing is no where near par with piccasos painting. sorry bud lol.

The reason you can go are the mechanical transitions between notes, especially when many notes are sped through quickly. Especially here, in the bridge, the fact that all of his breathing has been forced 'in tune'

A lot of artists use it to perfect the singing. As for mitchell, if he says he doesn't use it, then he doesn't use it. But there are definitely artists who do in studio and you wouldn't know.

What do you think every artist uses when they go into a studio to get a perfect track. It's music production... It's how the whole industry operates.

@HiiMatt11194 Autotune's only part of a vocal track anyway. You can only get so far using autotune -- it won't give you a decent voice if you've not got one to start with. Mitchell has a great voice, and if he is using autotune it's not detracting from the performance.

@HiiMatt11194 Autotune's only part of a vocal track anyway. You can only get so far using autotune -- it won't give you a decent voice if you've not got one to start with. Mitchell has a great voice, and if he is using autotune it's not detracting from the performance.

@mitchellemmen Not what I was saying, but to be fair what I wrote before doesn't make that much sense (my bad).
Autotune's not magic and it won't make your voice sound amazing if it's not amazing to start with.
You've got a great voice, so you don't need autotune anyway. IF you are (which you say you're not, and I believe you) it doesn't make it sound bad. Hope that cleared it up! (I'm defending you, not attacking you :)
