Should we call ourselves salafi?

we dont admire madkhalis, we admire their prayer and thats exactly what the hadith says. as for ahmadi nadjad, he is a layer even if he says the truth sometimes.ahmadi nadjad, however doesnt mention quraan and hadith in his speech , but the madkhalis do.the beatiful recitation of shia is not according to the ahkaam of recitation in quran, when they recite according to the ahkaam its just like every other nation some have beautiful voice some dont. the hadith is about those who read quraan a lot.

the word 'YAHQUIRO' means dispising, so the translation of the hadeeth is wrong. we dispise our ibaadah eg( prying and fasting), when we see someone doing more. but we do not admire the Shia for their ghollow and exaggeration in adding few minutes to their fasting and we do not like to do what they are doing.we do not judge a group of millions of people by what a single cleric does, we look at the majority. im not defending Shia, i still beleive that most of them are not muslims.

well once you know those people are kafir or misguided, you no longer admire them, if you think the people in the Hadith are Madkhalis, then you obviously no longer admire them after coming to that conclusion

however there are many who admire the Shias especially after the revolution in Iran

Ahmadinejad speaks Haqq, but it does not go beyond his collarbones (secretly helps America in Iraq) exactly as the Hadith says, and Shias recite the Quran beautifully but dont believe in it

in Muslim the narrator was not sure wether the prophet said: "worst of creation or amongst the worst of creation" but in bukharee the hadeeth says: "they rise within the muslims" not from or out of the muslims. and khawaaridj are like any other group of muslims wether sunnis or mutazilla or murjia all these groups have some kaafirs amongst them.

the brother said IF there is a group that fits the disecreption it will be the salafees, he also said some salafees are mudjtahid, so clearly he was refering to the madkhalees. also the hukaam clear kaafir. and shia dont kill themslves reding quran, praying and fasting. so really madkhalees are the best to fit this creteria.

the Hadith says your fasting is insignificant compared with their fasting, and the Shias fast about 15 minutes longer than Sonnis

Also if you read Tijani's book (the guy who claims he was Sonni but became Shia) he says he was impressed by how well he saw a Shia cleric praying and found Sonni prayer to be unimpressive compared with Shias

So the Hadith fits in very well with the 12 Imami Shias

all the governments in the middle-east kill Muslims but spare the Moshrikeen, not just the Saudis

as for the Khawarij, then they are Kafir because in Sahih Muslim it says they are "The Worst of Allah's creation"

also it is narrated that the Dajjal will appear among them, this is while the Dajjal will appear in Isbahan (Iran) which is Shia, not Salafi

so the Shias are more likely to be the people mentioned in the Hadith

I agree with the brother that the Hadith isnt only about the Horooriyyah

I think this brother has had bad experience with the western Salafis and is misjudging them as a whole. But if you interact with other madhabs and sects you will find the same things or even much worse things

We must also make a distinction between Salafis who are blind followers of their scholars and those who arent

Anyone who blindly follows scholars is kafir, whether they are Salafi, Ashari, Sufi, or any other group

but there are also many good Salafis with whom I disagree but still respect

not all the Salafis are quick in doing takfir and calling for the death of Muslims, in fact you will probably find more such people among other groups. For example who is a bigger Takfiri than the Rafidhah? they do takfir on the Sahabah, and although they dont openly admit it, they are in fact also doing takfir on Sonnis since Sonnis are following the path of the Sahabah

I disagree again with the brother. The Salafis arent the Khawarij, because of the very Hadith he mentioned where the Prophet (saw) said: They will kill the Muslims but spare the Mushrikeen

this is while there are many Salafis fighting against the Mushrikeen in Iraq. Of course there are many Salafis like the Saudi Kingdom who help the mushrikeen against the Muslims, but there are also many Asharis and many from ANY group who help or spare the Mushrikeen so the Saudi Salafis arent the only ones

also as the brother himself said it's mainly the Salafis in the west who are young, but thats not the case in Arab countries as you will find there Salafis of all ages and the young dont stand out

There are monafiqeen and bad people among every group, among Asharis, among Salafis, among the Mu'tazilah, we shouldn't judge an entire group just through the bad ones

also its important to note that there are some fake salafi groups created by governments to trap people

It is in Sahih Muslim, I dont remember the exact "number" but there is only one chapter in Sahih Muslim to do with the Khawarij, so if you read all the narrations in that chapter you should find it
