The dulcimer that he is showing is different than any dulcimer that I have seen.

That's probably because it is not a dulcimer, it is a santur. The hammered dulcimer is a more modern adaptation of the santur concept.

Not all dulcimers are santurs,but all santurs are dulcimers. So we were both wrong.
