This suit obviously is being used at a fraction of it's effectiveness.. Look at how many bullets he is missing with.. We've already seen each bullet is basically a little homing missile if he knew how to use it he could probably take out the entire human attack force in less than a sec.. and the planes can easily be taken out with the advance missiles it carries.. same with tanks.. This suit is like 500 years more advance than our tech, its like asking what if a knight attacked a tank today..

The exosuit is in a default mode after it's activated and then detects that an alien is under threat (remember, Wikus has alien DNA), so it automatically blasts the Nigerians into chunks of meat.

Thing is, most the actors who portray Nigerians in the film are in actuality South African. So in the film they're speaking a multitude of South African languages, as well as with South African dialects when speaking English. So you're correct technically, but in terms of the story... no, they're Nigerians. :)

That Exosuit is hella strong and took out a truck and lots of foot soldiers with ease, but think. The Minigun and variable explosives on the Mecha Cain are far more damaging than a pin gun on that alien suit. With the T-800 added to that, it could grab its way on top and survive numerous pin round and throws because the Terminator survives that easily. So, i say the Robocop wins.

If a Prawn got in there there could be about 5x the amount of destruction but just think. When a T-800 climbs up on the Mech suit and starts ripping wires while the Meca is ripping metal apart on the outside with a 7.62 minigun it's not gonna live all that long. Even add the dude with the NTW-20 20mm AT rifle and you may get better results.

@happymerc You do realize I hope that the Terminators are NOT solely melee based machines. The T-600 and 800 are supplied with 5.56 mini-guns and automated 40mm HE Grenade launchers. You believe that because it's all you've seen in the past Term. movies. Watch Salvation and you'll find out that that is not true. Also they can pick up pieces of metal and rocks and chuck them at immense speeds.

Thus causing as much or surpassing the damage a bullet would do to that Suit. So, you go back to 'dnd'.

Also, the suit is armed with a better variant of the AMR-B21, possibly 2 AMR-B5's and a gravity gun that is capable of stopping bullets. Clearly melee is the way to go.

@laffyta2 We don't know what element the alien used, but it's probably a one-shot kill to the back of the suit with an NTW, possibly killing the driver. However the telekinetic field defense mechanism makes that a problem. The telekinetic field is capable of launching things back at great velocity and accuracy. Also, the missiles mounted on the suit gives it a greater advantage. Remember, the exo-suit is three things: Defence, Attack and Construction.

I think that the ship was a prisoner transport, I guess the plan was to get all the unwanted prawns and dump them somewhere, but they ran out of fuel or was overrunned by a prisonbreak I guess.

However, they suffered an illness that basically wiped out most/all of the higher-up ranks, leaving the workers behind without any real direction, which is why conditions got so bad. Christopher's son was, for one reason or another, going to one of the next generation of organisers, or he himself was a slightly more organised level.
