@factionxvt408x It's supposed to seat seven, with two removable (or fold-away?) rear facing seats in the boot. You could probably fit a few more under the bonnet, since that's also empty haha.
How does this thing seat 7? I see 2 in the front, 3 in the row behind it...and a trunk. It looks awesome, though, at such a long wheelbase, it is going to be a pain to park...
@BumbleBeeGS Yeah it would be awesome to work for Tesla, but their plant for building the Model S is in California. Where I live there is a Tesla Dealership a few hours away (that's probably what the Tesla building you see).
I'm glad that America will have a good high quality brand to compete with the Germans in the future (because I don't see Lincoln and Cadillac going too far).
The time has come for Free energy to be revealed ,But the big oil corporations don't want that technology revealed,Find the real deal, a free energy device at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Join the revolution!
In the trunk they have the fold up old station wagon seats, witch then you'd say 2 in front 3 in back and two in the back back. True if they were all adults it wouldnt be comfy but kids... yeah. Also another HUGE reason/perk of the extra seat is for the customer getting insurance, with the extra seat it wont be considered a luxury/sports car. BMW has done the same thing with hatch backs and it saves the customer a lot of money on their insurance. Thanks Tesla

ahm, if this car get submerged underwater, lets say, flood..will it still run? or if youre inside and it gets submerged, will you get electrocuted? just wondering..
Every thing has faults. Electric cars have the advantage of fewer moving parts therefore they are more reliable than internal combustion in the long term.

And yes, some of many potential buyers may feel doubtful or worried when they see that the cargo room (loading room) is not like what they are used to seeing. And yes, many all have packed up all of our cargo room at least once. But it is not something that we should be complaining about in the electric car just yet. The future will be better. I say more range than more trunk space. And enough trunk space is great.
Cargo room is cargo room. Having to charge your car everyday is something we are not used to. With a 300 mile range, it will be once a week. Or twice if you will be feeling worried. I hope batery technology will advance in the Tesla, extending the range to 500 miles.
Agree, but I wouldn't worry. if your job is less than 20 miles a day, it should be fine. Regenerative braking makes a difference too. What they need to do is someday include solar film on the car and that would make a huge difference! So that way we wouldn't need a lot of out lets everywhere.
100 miles on an electric car is sufficient. 230 miles is good. That is a two hour trip. What do solar films look like? Do they make the car look abnormal?
solar films are just such a futuristic idea , now dont get me wrong they would be great but it would not make musch difference in how far the car can go unless you are in the open sun. plus solar panels are extremely expensive and would add so much to the cost.
That same phrase"futuristic" idea was once used about EV automobiles and unfortunately that still resonates. Solar panels today can take energy from a cloudy day. Besides if you park your car at work, the solar film can help charge up the battery. It's not about the distance you drive.
The future may even see plug-less electronic-wave charging. Once you activate the charging with your cell phone, your car begins charging without plugs or wires. It may take longer and you may only get a little charge out of it, but 10% is enough for you to get home during emergencies.
Rumors is that wireless charging is possible. Researchers at the Department of Defense have come up with a way to use radio waves to spark electricity in copper wires to charge a mobile device. If it is true, then the future will be wireless charging, however strong that may be.
In the future, we should see Tesla reduce trunk room in their sedan to a reasonable space, just enough for carrying luggage or other things. That can increase range miles by making more room for more batteries. There is also always the back seat. Personally, I would rather have enough range than having enough trunk space. Others may differ because they travel more often. But not many will travel too far in the Model S just yet. Enough trunk space for daily use will be great.

Why not use solar panels on the roof to keep the electronics alive?

@thecrism1 that would be a good idea. You wouldn't have to spend 45 min to fully charge the battery.

What i Love about the car is that they gave the room of a hatchback in the trunk, but didn't give it the ugly hatch-BACK hahaha...
And The car looks like a mazda 3 .. without the smiley face of the new 2010's..
The front looks REALLY GOOD.
Shit why can't any other manufacturer make a hybrid that looks as half as nice as this???
Maybe they get too much money from the oil companies...

You guys are dumb, that trunk space is for adding seats. Thats how the Model S can fit 7 people in there, you add two seats in the trunk.. (i think)

Whats the difference between not having enough trunk space in a Internal combustion car? You can only find those in older classic cars.
