@TheOriginStudio First, you need to get a lot of Scrap Metal either from Winter Island or buying them at the Blacksmith. Then look at your recipe list for Forging and find a recipe that follows this example:

Beginner's Pole + 2 Scrap Metals = Beginner's Pole

There are others like it with differing skill levels. Higher skill levels result in faster grinding as long as your timing is good. If you use Quick Equip the tool will get kicked out of its slot if it gets a star rating from forging.

i'm guessing they have less guys because Sonia can't really do anything without Azel until after the story is over giving you less time to woo someone? and i think both openings have their pros and cons nothing is perfect seriously, dont like dont watch/play. Hopefully Sonia will be the energectic type of girl who isnt submissive and can be a bit tomboyish at times; can't say much about Azel though. Also, I beat Left4Dead a violent game, im a girl. and F.E.A.R so there.

@yaoi4evandnevayuri What about Rune Factory 3? That was the first game I played in the series and it was great! They basically refined and even added new features in the gameplay making it even better than 1 and 2. Ironically RF 3 has a mermaid as a marriage candidate while Oceans/Tides of Destiny seems to lack one.

By the way, have you heard news of RF 4? You get to choose from the start if you want to be a boy or girl protagonist! And as usual the main character is an amnesiac.

Not sure if this is official, but I've heard from a few sources that Azel's new name in North American release is to be Aden while Sonia's will be Sonja. Also to note it will be known as Rune Factory: Tides Of Destiny. Not that the title name or the names of the characters matter since this looks like an Epic game that I'd LOVE to have in my gaming hands before Christmas regardless, but just sayin'....
