  • who make the crimes? the kids? the doctor? ????

  • I'm not sure if Haneke answered the question of how he comes up with ideas via research, etc. He totally evaded the shit out of that one or I may have missed it. Anyone have the answer?

  • Man, I greatly enjoy a lot of Aaronofsky films, but I don't think he is close to the same league as Haneke.

  • It fascinates me that Haneke had concieved of the idea for "The White Ribbon" a decade prior to the film's release, because it couldn't be anymore relevant to what's occurring right now in the world. This last decade has been defined by philosophical and ideological extremism from the United States to the Middle-East. 9/11 was an attack struck by a philosophically extremist Musslim group.

  • fun fact: a lot of the german RAF terrorists were children of pastors themselves.

  • Aronofsky's out of his depth and completely lost. Why did he ask him " do YOU know who did it? " ? I don't think he understood it at all if he thinks that's a sensible question to ask, or that who did it even matters. You can see him try to not look like he's taking notes mentally, whilst simultaneously planning to steal every idea. He's just not got the skill or subtlety, which is why you can play spot the "reference" so easily with his efforts. Repulsion/Black Swan is an easy one to begin w.

  • @lordgumboot - That question was asked out of humor for Haneke, Aronofsky knows what he's doing - as an artist he's an observer. If his films are more evident in regards to their influences, it's not because he "lacks the skill", it's because he's a romantic. He (like Martin Scorsese and other filmmakers) loves film, like Scorsese, Polanski, Coppola, Spielberg and is more than capable of taking what's inspired him and making something completely his own - see "Pi" and "The Wrestler".

  • I heard haneke father was a SS official

  • @folladordeprostis

haha, and i heard, your father killed jfk

  • @1533Montaigne hahahah actually that info it was for a while in wikipedia

  • @folladordeprostis

so take this as a proof, that wikipedia is nonsense. think for yourself and don´t believe the hype.

  • this is such an incredible film.

  • Aronofksy is a big zero when compared to a legend like Michael Haneke. BTW he really did steal from Haneke (The Piano Teacher) and Lynch (Mulholland Drive) to make a really middlebrow "The Black Swan".

  • @rakeshgopinath Well, let's not go all TOO much into pointing fingers on who influenced who. I think Haneke's Cache stole a bit from David Lynch's Lost Highway, despite being one of my fave films ever.

At least Aaronofsky, like Tarantino, knows how to steal only from the best. The problem is when people steal from the mediocre, which is most of Hollywood.

  • I am speechless. And I think this film is just about... perfect.

  • can u please upload this movie

  • most overrated film of the decade!

  • @diegorosd really?? why??? I heard is too long and slow, wtf is the plot about??

  • Watching these two is like seeing Batman and Superman together

just two goddam giants of ciema together

  • This the most wonderful film of all time.

  • Haneke and Aronofsky are easily two of the greatest filmmakers to ever live

  • Darren Aronofsky and Michael Haneke in the same room; two of my generation's best.

  • @JesusCristo2002 Aronofsky is cool and all, but you need to broaden the horizon. Mainstream America and their Aronofsky.

  • Really the very best movie I've seen so far. I loved Susanne Lothar and Leo Proxauf ♥ they were absolutely great !

  • A genius interviewing another genius!

  • the boy who plays martin is hot

  • @javajavajavalala I must agree ! :D

  • @javajavajavalala

I met him today. He came to my school together with the girl that played Eva.

  • @randomgal wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haneke ist ein Gott.

  • The greatest movie of the last 20 years I think.

  • @arbide2

This is with Pulp Fiction and Dogville the best movie of the last 20 years.

  • Great great movie!! saw it yesterday and as a Haneke fan I think he has done even better than funny games or the pianist.

  • I just saw the movie today, by luck I had no information at all about the plot before and enjoyed it like hell. Though in the beginning may feel a bit slow is a total masterpiece.

  • Haha good thing I've already seen this! He totally spoils the plot in the first minute and a half!

  • Kip Dynamite...
