Johnny and Sara work really well together. Their time on Rosanne really cemented their chemistry together as actors but IMO the show really demonstrated why Leonard and Leslie didn't work as a couple. They were simply too much alike. I think you need differences in order to keep things fresh and exciting which is why Leonard and Penny work so well as a couple.

They went on a date and both of them agreed not to date, not that it was bad, but just that they shouldn't, It went from that one date back into the will she won't she thing really.
