  • WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THIS. DAWG TEXAS (HOUSTON) STARTED THE FUCKING CULTURE OF SLAB GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH THAT SHIT. IF YOU GO BUY CARS WITH SPOKES EVERYONE HAD THOSE EVERYWHERE!! BACK THEN, BUT IF YOU TALKING ABOUT THE ACTUAL CULTURE OF THE REAL SLOW LOUD AND BANGIN FUCKING HOUSTON STARTED THAT SHIT PLEASE DONT MAKE UP STUPID SHIT COZ ALL THAT IS GOING TO DO IS START REAL QUICK BEEF ON SHIT THATS STUPID

  • Also let me give some of you young Texas boys a lesson..... The Old definition of S.L.A.B is not slow loud and bangin. Back in the late 80's they were called slabs cuz they sat low to the ground or street slab... Thats the real def of why they are called a slab....

  • Blackandgold51... I got to give it to you, you know your history but you failed to go back some years. 1st of all New York didnt not start the slab culture. If you go back to the 1920's, they were already puttin 5th wheels, wood wheels, belts, women, grill, and wire wheels on cars right out the Detroit Caddi Plants. Thats where Les got his Idea from!!! Google a 1929 Cadi Lasalle.. Now, does that make those cars a slab? NO!! D Culture started in Texas & It originated in Detroit!! Nice Try!

  • Man diz aint no slabs diz are just stocc carz come to houston where we ride real SLALS nigga! Why niggaz alwayz wanna hate on Texas it dnt matter where slab started we ridin slabs and theres none ya can do bout it!

  • DEFINITION OF S.L.A.B. SLOW ,LOUD. AND BANGIN

ORIGINAL SLAB HAS 15 INCH SWANGAS,CANDY PAINT, GLASS HOUSE,OLD SCHOOL CADILLAC OR BUICK,NASTY ASS BAND AND LOW TO THE GROUND SOMETHING YOU BUILD UP NOT JUST BUY FROM CADILLAC DEALERSHIP AND TELL EM YOU WANT SOME WHITE WALLS ON IT....

  • A SLAB IS SOMEHING THAT HOUSTON CREATED DID THEY CALL THOSE CARS SLABS BACK IN THE DAY ITS LIKE A LOWRIDER YOU GONA POST A 64 IMPALA IN NY FROM THE 70S AND SAY THATS WHERE THEY CAME FROM NO ITS FROM CALI....BOYS IN NY THINK YALL GOT THIS SLAB SHIT FIGURED OUT AINT NOBODY RIDING SWANGAS IN NY YALL JUST CARE BOUT THE NEW SHIT AND FROM THE LOOKS OF IT THAT WAS THE NEW SHIT BACK IN THOSE TIMES HERE IN THE H IS WHERE THE SLAB MOVEMENT HAPPEN DONT TRY TO STEAL OUR SHIT CUZ...

  • I think SLAB is a fairly broad term except to people from Texas where it refers to a specific build with 84s, wood, ect...

  • Man that aint no fukin slab jus cuz it got a lady on d grill dont make it a slab cum look at Tx podna

  • those cars were jus luxury cars not a slab i can go buy a cadillac it dont make it a slab

  • Definition of my "Slab":

Candy Paint, 5th Wheel, Navigation, 5% Tint, 20" Inch Vogue Tires, Beat, Hole, Grill, Poptrunk, Xenons,

Guts & 84's from Texan Wire Wheels

ok this is a slab damn stop arguining the cars in this video are super fliers not slabs so get out

  • i mean honestly these arent slabs. these are just stock caddy n lincolns with white walls and a chrome woman. slabs are a fully customed piece...body, leather, woodwork, woodwheel, custom system, tint, wired spokes. top to bottom fully customized.

    hence=SLAB, Slow Loud And Bangin'

  • @juarez122191 you have no idea what youre taliking about... or looking at...

  • WTF, How the hell NY started slabs, those superfly cars...Thats shows right there u don't know shit about a Slab..Htown is the only home of the Slab...where's the Candy paint, 5th and 6th wheels, where the 90 pieces, where's the pop truck with the pop trunk sign, Where's is the Damn swangas and Vogues...yeah they got a grille and woman and belts..but it takes way more than that to say your car a slab...NY don't know shit about cars any way stick to ridin the subway and SUVS.

  • @kemperfolife exactly

  • actually i know for a fact back in the 70s cats was rolling wit tvs in phones cause my dad had that shyt

  • i was gonna favorite this vid until i saw the title. ill find another one with a better title

  • lol...man these aint no dam slabs! theyre just classic cars lol u must havent been to TX....so if those are slabs then i guess bigfoot and gravedigger are donks to huh? lol

  • @YellaFella09 thats 100% correct blackandgold51 is just a dick rider thats hates us but knows deep inside we go hard

  • @YellaFella09 hahahaha

  • i bet this nigga didnt even know wat slab meant until Mr84rider said it

  • dats like sayin , any nice painted boxed up car whether its a chevy caprice or any other box car ridin on chrome is a donk........NO , rims got everything to do wit it. just like 28's or bigger make a donk. 84s is what makes a slab a slab. big rims makes a donk a donk.

  • @Mr84rider

Haha I'm going to say this for the last(commet) time in my defense, a "SLAB" is actually a Pimpcar(pimpmobile) Superflycar etc.

As for 84's such as wired rims in general, Pimps and Gangsters back in the 60's and 1970's had custom wired rims on their cars, which those rims where either an option or customized from a local custom shop like Les Dunham Coach in NY and NJ.

Also, the ones that had custom Cadillacs in them days had loud speakers and about 1 or 2 TVs in their cars

  • @blackandgold51 BITCH NOBODY WAS PUTTIN SCREENS IN THERE CARS IN THE 70S GET OFF THE BOO BOO BITCH

  • @reggiesmoker

    LOL!

Thank you, that comment proves your dumbness.

  • @blackandgold51 BICH SHOW ME A LINK WHERE IT SAYS BACK OIN THE 70S PEOPLE WERE PUTTIN SCREENS IN THERE CARS. CAR SCREENS DIDNT SHOW UP UNTIL THE EARLY 90S BITCH GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BITCH

  • @reggiesmoker Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing, Music video (1982

  • @blackandgold51 not being ignorant but what your saying is that you think a super flier is the same as a slab a slab has to have 84s and wood grain wheel gotta be slammed has to have a badass system some dripppin paint n chrome Made TO SWANG AND BANG as for the supper flier thats more like when a white boy sees a stock caddie with crome trim

  • @reggiesmoker thats not exactly true they didnt have lcd screens in their cars but they did put tvs in their cars i for one know personally if you look at any old custom cars or limosines and see a boomerang antenna on the back of the trunk it had a tv in it also look at marvin gaye sexual healing video on youtube and you will see a tv in the car and that video came out in 1982.

  • @reggiesmoker Yeah they were puttin tv's in their cars in the 70's,,,LOOK UP ISAAC HAYES 1972 GOLD PLATED CADILLAC

  • @blackandgold51 The term Slab didnt wasn't even used until the 90s. The term Slab was also known as the streets of Houston TX. Boys were coming down the street on their 84 and 83 wire wheels saying they were "ON SLAB" because their cars were so low to the ground, they were on the SLAB of Houston TX. A SLAB and the Pimp rides of the 60s and 70s are two different things. A SLAB must have 83 or 84 Cragar wire wheels or Texan Wire Wheel remake rims. Youtube the new "Slab Culture - The Documentary"

  • @khmerboxer214

"Cragar wire wheels or Texan Wire Wheel remake rims."

Just to let you know, that those so-called "Texas Wire Wheels" are actually made in California.

  • @blackandgold51 yea i know because all my big brothers ordered from their website. The company chosed to be in california because operation and production costs are cheaper there, many rim companies are in California.

  • @blackandgold51 ya'll slab ridin is a trendsetter named screw and Houston Texas started calling they pimp out cars and the car usually is made of steel thus the 70s era.

  • @Mr84rider

    continued....

There's one example(proof) car which is a 1972 Eldorado that was owned by Issac Hayes, it's at the STAX Museum in Memphis, TN.

And there's no true definition of the word "SLAB" which is suppose to describe a car, such as a Cadillac, with Belt Buckles, Chrome Grills, and Sound Systems. It just means any car that was not made to go fast and have a loud stereo system.

A normal or customized(with 22-24 inch rims ) 1988 Caprice is an example of that.

  • @Mr84rider

Also, for you making an excuse by saying "84s is what makes a slab a slab" and "IF IT AINT POKIN DEN IT AINT SLOW.LOUD.AND.BANGIN(SLAB)", look closer on the side on the 1973 Lincoln Continental at 0:21. You'll see that those are "poking rims" and these rims where called "Tarantulas" which they where made by Les Dunham Coach.

Another proof that there were such rims long before the Cragar StarWire rims were made in 1983 and 1984 which where options for FWD Eldorados from 83-84.

  • @Mr84rider beg your pardon, but you wrong nigga! a donk is 71-76 chevy sedans, jus sayin'!!

  • blackandgold51 i have been arguing about where slabs originated for years and it did originate on the east coast anybody over the age of 50 should no that, just look at some of the old blaxplotation movies and then you will see.

  • @pearsonee Actually a slab is not just a cadillac lol, this guy doesnt know what hes talkin about....a slab is just a figure of speech for any kind of car..S.L.A.B.= slow loud and bangin, learn about what you tryin to prove a point against first.

  • @pearsonee

it did start on the East Coast but Texas kept it alive and still is today, we have an event called Texas Relays in Austin, TX where everyone gathers once a year and shows off their slabs. Look at hiphop today, only texas rapers still show superfly cars in their music videos compared to the eastcoast rappers he dont show dem at all.

  • it ain a S.L.A.B if it aint got 84s and vogues, bumper kit wit da fith n sixth, and candy paint. these are just superfly cars get ya shit right. IF IT AINT POKIN DEN IT AINT SLOW.LOUD.AND.BANGIN(SLAB)

  • @Mr84rider

You're another person that doesn't know anything about cars and Car History and is just making a lame excuse hahahahahaha!

  • Lmao..fucc outta hea

  • if dats da case(slabs didnt start in TX)how r u so sure it started in ny???pimps n playas are all ova da place n alot of em drove cars like dat!!!

  • @lildell04

Have you've every heard of Les Dunham Coach in New York City and Boonton, NJ?

Les Dumhan himself came uo with the chrome accessory parts in the 1960's and after the result of the movie Super Fly in 1972 people across the U.S. including Gangsters, Drug Dealers, and Pimps modified their cars after the result of the movie, no one knew about this trend until after Super Fly showed what was hot the streets of New York City.

  • DtownRidez, 3rdcoast1, hurricanebros, texasrapgame21.

I love it how ya'll Texas boys be comin up with the lame ass excuses LOL!

  • blackandgold51..thanks for uploading this slideshow . I've been saying for years that the Slab movement actually originated on the east coast yeeeaarss ago !

    5 *****

  • @BillyKnockout

Well the eastcoast didnt keep the movement alive, its in Texas now.

  • @khmerboxer214 Very true my friend .

  • The man's not tryin to hate on slabs, lowriders, or anything else. Car culture evolves over time like anything else. Remember when 20's were big time? Now u got boxes and donks on 32's. The look of the slab (and I got one so no I'm not hatin) came from the playas in the 70's who first thought of puttin belts and buckles, fifth and sixth wheels, and takin off the hubcaps and puttin on spokes.

  • @jamesm2379 X2 !

  • Wow You Made A Video Dedicated To Trying To Prove Texas Didnt Start The Slab Movement? What A Hater! Look Nun Of Those Are Slabs Jus Cuz You Showed A Car With Belts Im Supposed To Believe You? Mayn Weres The Candy Paint,84's And Pop Trunk? These Arnt Slabs So Once Again TEXAS MADE THIS SLAB SHIT!

  • @hurricanebros ignore it deep in blackandgolds heart he knows whats up
