It's mainly just a pedal/amp/or setting on the guitar, he dosent have magical fingers or anything, although it seems like he does.

he clearly has a reverse effects pedal going at that point. you can see him start playing before you hear any of the notes, so he plays a lick, and a moment later the pedal reverses it. you can even sorta see him hit the pedal right around the 4.11 mark. many delay pedals have reverse features like that on them.
