Some of our best artists are so underfunded that they have to turn to the corporate world to pay the rent. Every artist worth their salt goes into crisis when confronted with a lucrative offer to sell Coke, Cars and...yes...even socks. I'm sure these guys went through the same process: Are we selling out by doing this? Our artists should be selling art, not commodities.

You're right. They probably do earn enough which might lead a person to disrespect them for selling their souls to The Good King Corporate when they didn't really need the money. Sportspeople are a different kettle of fish altogether. They don't produce art. I expect very little from them really. And as for me.....I wouldn't agree to earn even more money if it meant selling a product to make a rich person even richer. How can art be pure if it's been bought for profiteering?

I see the comedy, but until I saw this ad I had only ever seen them perform on stage or television. They're a very successful duo here. I was disappointed when I saw them doing an ad as I see art as being compromised when it sells itself to commercial interests. That doesn't make them any less clever, they just lose a little kudos in my eyes.

@PoetPerson its not selling out when u need sponsors and for the brothers to get sponsors ect ect and keep them i need to do these ads its probs apart of their contract or something i aint too sure but still look at them now i havent seen em do an ad in years because they do enough gigs in europe and make enough cash as it is :/ lol you could almost call them european artists :/ but there always australians :P
