If you want to become a pilot in the Air Force, you will need a college degree, then you go through officer training at Maxwell Air Force Base, but you can fly as well without a college degree which is called being an enlisted aircrew member. For an example, you will not become a pilot. but you can fly as a aircrew member and do jobs like boom operator and aircraft loadmaster. Being enlisted in the Air Force is not bad at all.
SWEET LUKE AFB... I was stationed there. In the 80s and 90s I was with the 555th(Triple Nickel)working the the F-15 Eagle A-E modle. also was in the 461st and 550th. than they pulled all the sheetlmetal guys off the flightline
There were 4 F-15 Squadrons at the time 555th. 550th,, 461st, and the 426th . and on the other side of the base near the phase hangers were the F-16s I do belive the 310th and the 311th. and the 312th , not sure who else but I know there were more.. I am a Eagle nut my self , But the F-16 is a sweet little figher I am not to keen on them both being replaced....
