Here's how the report should have went: Keith Olbermann spent 4 days at ground zero and was so impressed by the muslims that he began his own war against the American president. He will do his best every night to put President Bush up for world ridicule and is very happy when another nation gives the US the back of the hand. Can anyone imagine after the attack on Pearl Harbor, a newsman screaming at FDR every night like an unglued ax murderer?
Olbermann is such a hypocritical cocksmear it's disgusting. Olbermann takes umbrage when Rumsefled made his comment about people who objected to the war as being similar in nature to those who appeased Hitler and yet when this arrogant, stuffed shirt douchebag had tree-hugger and failed comic Garafalo on his show he did not stop her from making an almost identical comment that anyone who opposed Obama was racist. Olbermann, you are a hypocrtical fuckstick.
LOL so his viewership is up to a whopping 200,000 now???
ROFLMFAO!!!!!
try competing in the MILLIONS, Keith... then you might have a chance at keeping your pathetically awful hate-spewed show!
what will this pathetic windbag have when COMCAST gives him the boot next year? Air America? i dont think so! maybe a webcast of 28 viewers, mostly consisting of Newsweek subscribers!!!
and the best from this clip is when she says "he ends each show with the reminder of the unpopular war in Iraq"
to which they throw to a clip of Olbermann, as he has done for 7+years now, INCORRECTLY claiming G-W Bush ever actually said "Mission Accomplished" (which he NEVER said!!!!!)
but hey, what do lies matter when they are repeated ad-nauseum by the 'media'??? oh wait, now i must be channeling Goebbels!
funny part is at 1:47 where he claims, in reference to how his political opinion was formed - "that they were all idiots"
funny because he is a leftist progressive ideologue who belives in BIG GOVERNMENT... so he obviously thinks everyday people are the REAL "idiots" and not the BIG GOVT tools
big surprise he slept thru 9/11! lol
i actually scheduled AT WORK to sleep thru 9/11, yet i woke up that tragic event, out of what i dont know, but i woke up to see it all as it happened
i'm gonna respectfully disagree he reports the news as it is then he gives his opinions and has analysts to offer more insight on it.. it's entertaining and it is pretty informative as well unlike some others who entertain and MISinform (oreilly, hannity, etc.)
plus4, i think they're very often the same. But i don't see his overbearing sarcasm as anthing less than Beck's or Hannity's.
I relize that news and reality have become 'entertainment' to some. I think that when sarcasm and childish inuendo and endless consesending tone is used then it turns immediately to Tabloid junk because it's taken out of context. Charlie Rose is a journalist . But reality bores those who like MSNBC
@plus44fan36 His analysis of the news of the day is like riding a roller coaster. You feel many different emotions when you watch and learn about the days events. As Keith said: very serious, very angry, very silly, very snarky. You feel better informed at the end of the ride.

If Edward R. Murrow was his idol, then I guess Olbermann was in the journalism club in HS and made all kinds of reports and projects involving the work of Murrow. At least he may have done a paper plate-macaroni art piece of what Murrow meant to the adolescent Olbermann. Funny thing, I remember ER Murrow but I don't remember him ranting with excessive verbiage without a pause, and the head gyrations along with the psychotic disruptions that Olbermann seems to have.
I have to first say that my views are less than conservative, I disagree with nearly everything the Bush Administration does but this guy is just too over the top. Go to 02:25 and look where he implies he enjoyed listening to Mel Allen. Mel Allen quit announcing in 1964 Olbermann would have been only 5 that summer. He loves to set himself up as such a promising genius from the getgo. How about his hero ER Murrow, again too young, just giving himself a more romantic beginning.

I know what you're saying about admiring someone from history, but in Olbermann's case I believe he's setting the entire thing up as kind of "running home from HS just to get the broadcast. This guy is just such a phony to the point where I can't stand anything about him. Get this: "I was the street reporter for 40 days (ground zero), I lost 4 friends on 9/11" but yet, he goes ballistic over the idea of water boarding muslims, homeland security, and the rights of terrorists in general.
I did some investigating and found out some of Olbermann's conservative views: (1)It is a good idea for stop signs to be on street corners (2) On hot days, drink plenty of cool water (3)When painting a dark blue room white, plan for at least 3 coats (4)During a drizzle, use the wipers on the lowest speed (5) Put cd's back in their cases so they don't get scratched. (6)Using a "chip clip" will keep potato chips fresher longer. I think I covered them all, let me know if I missed any.

This was very entertaining and just too too funny! My favorite parts were where she says O'Reily is Olbermann's arch enemy, while O'Reily doesn't even know Olbermann exists (has anyone every heard O'Reily say "Olbermann" once?) The other part I liked is when Olbermann says he would come out just as aggressive against a Dem he didn't like, and when he said he has some conservative views.
Hmmmm yes these names you call me, let me see...I go to work every day, play two hours of tennis every night, go on wonderful vacations...hmmm Mr (am I getting this right?)Anti Hero, I guess yes you are right for calling me everything you've said. Don't feel too bad, I'll try to be more like you.
I think you mean "you're." That means "you are." "Your" (which should be capitalized at the beginning of a sentence) is the possessive form of the word "you."
@davisracquet He says "I'm not a liberal, I'm an American." Maybe he is an independent like I am who values progressive values. To answer your question no Mr. O'Reilly has not said Keith Olbermann's name one time. When Keith goes after people he is not scared to. He hates Republicans because they suck and he goes after Democrats when they don't stand up for they truly believe in. That solve your mystery?
@RealTime88 So what's become of this skunk anyway? He's no longer around. Idiots like Olbermann have a clear agenda, "whatever they like is good, anything everyone else feels is nuts". For example, look at all the disrespect hurled at President Bush, just ask Obama a friendly question about basketball, and he'll have you branded a racist.
@davisracquet Well I'm glad asked me because I am a BIG fan of Keith's, I consider him a hero of mine. Keith now works for Current TV, a cable network Al Gore runs where he still hosts Countdown 5 nights a week live at 8 PM. George W. Bush deserves no respect. I will not say one great thing about him. If I were President Obama, I would have had had Bush and his fascist pigs thrown into jail. I'm proud of my progressive values and people like you are the reason I'm glad I am not a Republican.
this was entertaining, and I don't think the media always has to be on the attack when interviewing someone, I think they should try to report the facts, which may or may not require being adversarial depending on the circumstances; however, I assume a right wing cable guy would have had tougher questions from this woman as well as some questioning or criticism of actual policy beliefs, which Olbermann was not questioned on at all. I wonder what those alleged conservative views you have Keith..
We can all forget about objectivity, it does not exist. By merely presenting the news you are making a determination on what is important to the viewer. Take the disenfranchised voters of 2000 for example. This ws a factual, verifiable thing that happened, and it rarely got covered.
MSNBC asks Keith for his commentary, because of ratings, and because its in his contract. Keith has always been an irreverent newscaster/commentator, same as O'Reilly. That's fine, but he should have more debate.
Keith always defends the little guy. All the great broadcasters do that. Even some of the guys he attacks. Keith spoke about Prop 8 when most did not. I'm proud of him for that. His show Countdown is not like most cable news shows. He makes it funny and in your face and he's very sharp. I hope I will be asked to guest host for Keith on a Friday night. That would be a huge honor.
I know his hero is Edward R. Murrow and Keith sees through the bullshit the way Murrow did. I believe Keith is the best journlist on cable news today.
Keith Olbermann takes people out of context and drives his liberal agenda by interviewing only the most fawning liberal guests available. He is not fair or balanced.
