  • um gee wiz african dwarf frogs and african clawed frogs are different things!

  • I have african dwarf frogs and you will need at least a 2 and a half gallon tank for them to live stress free, I done months of research.

  • @TheSpookloop The cage for mine was smaller than my head.

  • Actually, the real title of this video is "how to kill an african dwarf frog"

  • I don't think you want us to comment, or tell what we think of your video

  • hmm, lets review the requirements for the basic setup here. a tank that is holding approximately 7 tablespoons of water no filter no heater some shit gravel a green rock (VERY IMPORTANT)!! a sharp, razor-edged, injury inducing death trap of menace I mean a HIDING cave 4 them to feel COMFORTABLE and SAFE in and two frogs that get about six inches adult size. good thing for their sake they'll never reach adulthood. Great setup! ill use it the next time i want to torture my animals to death! :D
  • @microiguana they're african dwarf* frogs they'll never get to be over about an inch big. i've had two of them and they leaved for over 2 years in about a tank that held about a quart of water.

  • @TheRandomstuff93 thats pathetic,....if you had a bigger tank they would have got around 2 inches douchbag...you held a frog as a prisoner for 2 years

  • @TheRandomstuff93 actually they get 1.5 to 2 inches and one quart of water whats your problem???? douche

  • @microiguana most of your information was accurate except for the size they get about 2 inches at the most

  • ok decent video, but u got some wrong info u may want to change. First off, i have 3 of these frogs, so , i do know how to care for them. they do need atleast 1 gallon per frog, and have it not be more than 14-16 inches since they are ironically not good swimmers and leave a little airspace in between the water and the surface of the tank. Second, the store sells pellets for them, put they usually dont eat them, so most people should feed them on a regular basis blood worms every 4 days.

  • what the f*** that is so small

  • ok i dont have frogs but im pretty sure you need a bigger tank

  • omg. aafrican clawed frogs are a whole other type of frog weirdo

  • that is not a 1 gallon tank and that so called hide can seriously hurt them and don't feed them crickets!!! that thing is tike twocups of water at max!!!

  • dude african dwarf frogs and african clawed frogs are completely different just look the same when they are young! anyone who is interested in these frogs especially for a community tank please be aware that ADF's will stay small but the clawed will grow alot bigger and need a pretty big tank and will eat small fishies :( but the dwarfies will be fine and stay to like an inch an a half. Dude you need to research and careful what you pick...

  • You feed them mealworms!!!!!!!!! Get a 10 gallon tank, or bigger!!!!! Mine are in a 10 gallon tank, and they are big swimmers! Bigger tank!

  • poor things its sad that i know they wont live their full life span

  • give the kid a break! When I bought my ADF's they came in a tiny tank too! It came with a fully equipped manual and care guide and food! Its very convincing when you have those stuff and after a couple weeks I researched about them and found out all i needed to know, now probably he didnt do such thing and was convinced that his frogs were happy and healthy and they most likely are! So he decided to make a video on what he thought was good. Dont beat the kid up, I bet he knows now

  • "they dont need very large space to live" well they do need water! maybe!???? DONT THINK WATER FOR A WHILE, LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS : )!

  • YOUR ADF's BURROW BECAUSE THEY WANT TO ESCAPE FROM YOU.

  • I don't mean to troll... But that's like a half liter of water... With two frogs... Thats like you living with a brother in a 100 gallon tank your whole life...

  • The bamboo was the only good thing in this video, next time dont move so much and breathe less hard

  • why would you buy a tiny tank like that for 20 bucks? you can get a ten gallon tank for about 10 bucks

  • you should be ashamed of yourself.

you cannot give out information about these animals because you know nothing about them and are neglecting all of your animals.

you say they are either african clawed dwarf frogs, african clawed frogs or just african clawed frogs.. they are two different species.

you need to have a far bigger aquarium for these animals to thrive, you have a sharp bottle cap as a hide, which will cut the frogs delicate skin.

you do not deserve these beautiful animals

  • LOL I HAVE SAME TANK

  • STUPID

  • This is the worst video i have ever seen!!!!! African CLAWED frogs are totally different animals!! That tank is horrible! They will get stressed out and die in their! That tank is less than half a gallon! Horrible video! Worst video ever!!! That is animal abuse! Learn to care about every animal you get before you get the animal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • little prick, this tank is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to small. and african clawed frogs are a totally different thing. they get huge one would easily out grow your wanky little tank.

  • african clawed frogs are hella lot bigger

  • This video helped me alot nd if i werent for it my frogs wud hav died thx!!!

  • can you put a regular rock in or will it cause the ph level to rise ??

  • @bettafishlover14 depends what kind of rock

  • that teacup ant how to care for them get a 5gal+ tank plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 then make a vid

  • "Long and happy life" Yeah right if you mean 3 days for yours. Cruel pet owners should not make youtube videos. When I get the chance I'll show u the real way you need to take care of them.

  • where do u get the frogss?

  • @PaulieArr petsmart

  • This is the absolute worst care video iv ever seen on youtube. you dont deserve to have animals

  • dude you do not know what ur doing at all do you

  • and, you put those frogs in HALF A GALLON... you filled it up HALF WAY.

  • and, they need enclosed spaces... frogs jump.. did you know that?!?!?

  • DUDE YOU DONT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THOSE FROGS.

WOULD YOU LLIKE TO LIVE IN A ROOM WITH NO AIR CONDITIONER OR FURNITURE?!?!?WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE FED RICE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?!?!?

  • they won't stay happy on pellets... well i don't think the frogs will care but they'll develop a nutritional defiency

  • ): What a sad life for your frogs.

  • first of all afrcan "dwarf" and "clawed" are too different frogs. dwarfs stay 1.5" and clawed grow way bigger. second dwarf frogs need 1 gallon EACH. i'm getting 2 tomorrow for my 15 gal tropical tank with real plants, tons of hiding space, and enough room for both to live out their long happy life. i hate to say this but really dude just go to walmart or any other store and buy a 10 gallon tank they're only like $15 at most. stop being cheap and also get a good filter

  • even if u think thats enough space for frogs u can get bigger to make it more better for your frog/s

  • Hey all of you block heads the next day I went to the pet store I got live brine shrimp

And I got them both 16 court tubs. So back off

  • Comment removed

  • dude u dont know crap about them that tank is way to small i have two and i keep them in a 3 gallon just so they move around some more and there frkn happy and if they like to burrow get sand ... and take that lamp off them i use a tank heater

  • lol ur a retarded kid. go to hell lol. u dnt kow shit about frongs dumbs ass. i hope u get hit by a car leaving school.

  • The rule has always been 1 gallon PER frog. Get a 2 gallon. AND DON'T EVER SHINE THE LIGHT OVER THEM!! YOU'LL KILL THEM! Research them before you get them. BLOODWORMS, and other once-live food are the best. Pellets are crap!

  • to small...u suck..get a 10 gallon at least.

  • You need more water and yes they do need more space to live!!!!!MOST people call them African Dwarf Frogs, not some. You need bloodworms, brine shrimp, tadpole & frog and/or turtle pellets, and raw tilapia and/or raw salmon.Pellets like the ones you have are not preferred! They need variety. The juice cap may be injurious and too small. You don't need crickets or waxworms; bloodworms act as a treat. You no way have a 1 gallon tank there.

  • @marekiller8 it will be a 1 gallon tank 6" X 6" X 8 " 5L but he has like 1.5-2 L in it I agree with every single thing you say

  • @marekiller8 Those are African Clawed Frogs not African Dwarf Frogs, there is a difference.

  • @zj79000 I know there is a difference. Xenopus Laevus or something like that is the ACF's latin name. Hymenochirus Boetgerri or something of the sort if the ADF's latin name. These are African Dwarf Frogs. African Clawed frogs are much larger. They have eyes that are bigger and on the top of the head. They have much bigger legs, an egg-shaped body, and no webbing on the front hands. They also have little bumps down the sides of the top of the abdomen.

  • i have 2 and they live in a ten gallon and they love it in there they also share it with a few fish i can make a vid bout them if you want

  • African Dwarf Frogs and African Clawed Frogs aren't the same, just fyi!

Also..I've read that they should have at least 1.5 gallons each, doesn't look like your tank is big enough.

  • OMG this is not good for these cute little creatures!!! they need a lot of water and they are probably not happy living in that small tank!!!

  • k well.....i have mine about the same size tank 2 of them in the same size as this tank in this actually same set up with the rocks... and a bamboo tree and mine has a black rock which i use as a hide and if it wasnt good for em mine would of been dea by now and ive had em for 4 and a half years
