Omfg Bosper had the bow, but I didn't had enough money to buy it. So I go back into the wild, slay some beasts, pickup stuff, till I had enough money. I went to Bosper, bow has disappeared, WTF???

@SomeGuyWithSoul i found my dex based merc/dragonhunter to be the most dominant character i ever made in terms of sheer slaying ability (this in NOTR mind you). with the acrobatics to leap away from danger and keep combat at long range literally NOTHING could touch me, i ripped through orcs like they were juvenile mole rats lol. i always felt that the gothic developers secretly supported dex based usage. every video i see has some hulk with a big axe and crossbow, BOWS are the best weapon IMHO

@curiouspilot this is true, inevitably wave of ice combined with fire rain is the most dominant and powerful killing option in the game, yet even a high level mage's mana will go down very quickly (especially in NotR) necessitating the drinking of potions. My dex based dragon hunter can dive away and rapidly fire arrows without the need of retreating, i.e. best slaying ability

@SLYxG Well, one usually has a whole lot of gold at end game so drink potions won't be a prob, and it depends on how well one's Fire Rain/Wave of Ice combo is used. I can wipe the entire Orc army by the castle by using two combos, so I didn't use a lot of mana for doing so. There are a few monsters that has very high damage reduction against bow damage, so I wouldn't really say it's the best slaying method, but it sure is a very easy and convenient one overall.

have you found an amulet of dexterity??? if you have where cuz there have to be 2 amulets

to be honest the only amulet of dex is on the mercenary who smokes weed at the back of the food hall (I have forgotten his name sorry) make a deal with him in chapter 5 to get it, other then that I seriously dont know where to get another

Amulet of dex is rly hiden, you can find it if you clime the cave on the path from xardas's tower to corinis, the one where you meet your first bandit, climb the rocks above that cave and explore, there are lizards and boars, and amulet of dex +10.

sure, but its a hard fight even if you kill everything in chapter one, just save it when your strong and try again and again

well you have to plan out attacks like that, try to get a hill kill and be very high in dexerity before taking on orks, its not like close combat

you will see the night of the raven is funner more skilled for players like you... have more weapons as Dexterty have good one handed sword called "betty" requie 130 dex have new bows like magic bow and fire bow more monsters more fun,more challenging.

sure, if you hit 1(end) on the keypad while aiming at monsters in combat (or items when not in combat) it will lock on. It can be usful at times

in that case it must be different on your keyboard, I would say look in the gothic 2 controls thing, it must be there somewhere, in english its called 'lock target' I think

don't have that option in the controls system... all i can see in GOTHIC.INI (key default 1) something keylocktarget and some retarted numbers i tryed to switch but it messed up.

archery works pretty well in G2, but unfortunately you can`t kill undeads with it. i`m currently playing G2 without investing LP on strength, and it`s hard just because of the undeads.

thats right, it is - I usualy use the 'master sword' because it runs on dexerity, and when I have 100 dex, around 70% on range weapon and the ability to make dex potions, I slap some exp on one handed fighting, then take on the undeads
