@EpicFailureArena You can believe what you want man, but Pakistan was neither created for material gain, nor for secularism. It was CREATED FOR ISLAM, and it did pretty well in the begining. It was the fastest developing country sometime ago. Everything it set out to acheive, it did. Don't try and change one of the only countries made for an IDEOLOGY. Two countries in the entire world ever created for an Ideology, one of them is Pakistan. That ideology is Islam.

@pink2bluee Well dude... the people who created Pakistan were Secular, the younger generation want to be secular, as well as some of the middle aged people, plus 'Pak' and 'istan' has got nothing to do with Islam. 'Paak' is Persian for 'pure'. 'istan' is 'land of' in Farsi I think. I see your point about what you've said, but we can make this country whatever we want it to be.

No they weren't.

Pakistan was created as a home for Muslims (i.e. a religion). Jinnah was not secular - read his state bank speech from 1948 - he loved Islam and was a proud Muslim.

Pakistan means land of the pure - i.e. spiritually pure (as in Muslim).

If you don't like it go live among the Hindu shit of Bharat because Pakistan isn't a "secular" nation. However, the problem has always been that many Pakistani's (and others) don't have a clear understanding of Islam.

Pakistan has problems like voting done along ethnic lines instead of on ideas, lack of access to information and a misunderstanding of who the religious parties are made of (yet I also see blame falling on the parties as well).

Pakistan was created as a home for Muslims and it wasn't meant to be a secular nation.

Jinnah and the rest sought a refuge for Muslims where Islam ruled the land.

Problem is that a lot of people do not understand what Islam is and the depth of compassion and brotherhood/sisterhood that exists in the message our creator imparted onto us (ex. Muslims are never supposed to fight but work out their problems - Surah 49:10 - yet we still have those who think it's ok to kill our own).
