I just heard, his most famous son, DA Valentino passed on a few nights ago. He was in surgery and when he woke up he went crazy. They had to put him to sleep. This is so sad, at the age of 8 an incredible stallion dies, just like his father died young. This is heart breaking for me as i always wanted to see Valentino. He will be missed by all who knows about him.

that is so sad i cryed becuse i have a love for horses he was a butful arabain horse that just so sad iam so sorry i know hard it must be to lose something you loved you will always be in your hart .
What a breath taking stallion I feel lucky to have been able to see him when David Boggs presented him at the Scottsdale show. They sure had a magical bond!
he was a beautiful stallion i got to work with one of his babys i liked the horse very much picked things up very fast an was willing to try what you wanted an DA Vinci is one my favorite stallions right now im sad that Versace is no longer with us.
Aww Dang! You found it! That's my typo that I mentioned in the description.
In my defense, the band spells it that way. And that's what I was thinking of when I typed it. So by minor technicality, I didn't misspell it, I just used the wrong one.
I personally know that Versace's owners truly loved him and would have done anything to save him. They took great care of him and I hate that they lost their beloved stallion. As for his contribution to the Arab world, well, lets say I have not been impressed. He has sired some pretty offspring, but no real athletes. Low trainability as well... Resulting in a ton of mediocre horses and thousands of new carriers of CIDs. JMO
For the record, I did put it in the credits what songs I used. But to save you the trouble of waiting until the end, I'll tell ya: The first song is "What Are You Asking Me?" (I also closed with this song), and the second song is "The Gravel Road" (starts at 2:20). Both songs are from the soundtrack to the movie "The Village."
Isn't it hard to see them go, the mares and stallions that marked the modern arabian horse.. Thinking about Versace, Padron, Sanadik El Shaklan. Especially Padron, since he was named junior champion in my own country. This stallion had it from his youth. It's truly difficult to see them go.
I was very sad when I found out he died. I was lucky enough to visit him and his babies at Rojo Arabains. I got to say he is something to see in person very handsome stallion and sweet they let me go into his stall and pet him. One very sweet stud.
What a devastating loss! It's so hard when a seemingly immortal stallion like Versace passes over as they leave such a special mark on your heart. So sorry this happened. R.I.P. Versace. xx
Wonderful video. Such a great stallion- I just purchased an aristocrat mare, and I wanted to breed her to Versace. Versace died on my birthday- such a large loss. He was such a wonderful horse.
That's so sad. I'm sorry. I think you can still buy frozen semen though. I don't know how much it is, but you may want ot look into it. I know they must have some because they sold a breeding to him at the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Auction after he passed. It was the highest sold breeding of the night too. It sold for like $50,000.
Yes, I think I will look in to that. Thank you. You make such incredible videos, I love all of them. They are worthy of the incredible sallions they pay homage to. Thanks for doing such a great job. You have such an incredible gift.
Oh wow. your horse died on your birthday? That's so sad. I'm sorry to hear that. Was Versace the horse in the video? Or was Versace another horse? Can I comment you on your page? And can we be friends~FireGirlG & funnylikemybunny?
I love both this video and the Padron video you did. You have an amazing talent that many would love to have. I didn't know much about Versace, but I did follow Padron. I only started learning about the key figures for the breed 2-3 years ago. It wasn't until this video that I knew the huge impact that Versace brought. Thanks for your BEAUTIFUL work!!!!
to Rojo Arabians. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know the empty feeling it leaves when you lose a 'family member'. He was an amazing asset to the Arabian breed and will never be forgotten RIP Versace
My deepest sympathies to you all. I understand completely what this feels like. We had a lovely *Barich de Washoe/Azraff-bred mare that she was carrying our stallion's very first foal. She foaled a beautiful filly, but about 10 hours later, she twisted also. We had to trailer her to a hospital 2 hours away. When she got to the hopsital, she had already ruptured, and we lost her. Thankfully we have 2 of her daughters, the one by our stallion, and a Legacy of Gold daughter.
my amazing horse is a versace baby♥

I didn't know he was gone. Such a tragedy. He should have had many more years. Why are the good ones always taken far too soon?

You forgot to mention that he was CIDs positive.

Why would I mention that in a tribute video? Most people knew that anyway, there's no need to harp on it.
