  • Went to see Foghat this past year, Met the drummer, Great dude , !!

  • This song proves that at least some Cajuns come from the UK. Talk about Southern swamp boogie and delta slide guitar.

  • hello, um, hall of fame, yes, um well this is foghat, yes um, just wondering WHEN THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO CALL US..thank you, goodbye

  • @cementhedpaul2008 They're too busy nominating bands that got started in 1996. The whole thing is politics. If a band pleases the people and not the stuffy critics, they get 8 Balled. The RnR HoF is controlled by frat boys with the Neidermeyer mentality.

  • WOW!!! That all I can say.

  • remember me and my older brother Timmy jammin to this song! sure do miss ya

  • I looked for this song several times on youtube and it wasn't there !!!! This kicks Ass !! Love this tune !!! CRank IT UP !!!

  • Used to leave my radio on all night. ...always woke up when they jammed this...I'll never get rid of this album

  • intro is the best part

  • CRANK IT UP!!!!!!!!!

  • kick ass song!

  • Robert Johnson is the best, Foghat does him justice.

  • mgwilliams 1000 this song was the reason i bought this album

  • @ksr9t Thanks my friend. I guess I'm too old now, and have too many things to do each day, but damn I still love this. Even my dogs get crazy when I play it.

  • Held up well, considering it was a Robert Johnson tune-1936.

Love this version though, if youre gonna cover something, make it your own. Great one.

  • Ahhhhh, the steamroller fog is starting to clear!! if you don't know, don't ask :)

  • Feel it, brothers and sistas! WHOO-HOO!!

  • One of Foghat's very best songs. They had the blues in their veins! Love it!

  • Fire it up!!!!! nice.....

  • No doubt, mgwilliams! When I first heard this song I thought it was the best song on the album. I love the slide work. It is a real rocker!! I think I wore this album out 4 or 5 times between 1975 and 1979 when I finally got a cassette deck. Great stuff!

  • I saw Foghat, Styx and Mother's Finest at the Greenville Memorial Auditorium shortly before Lynyrd Skynyrd played their last concert there before the plane crash. We used to cruise downtown Greenville's mainstreet with the 8-tracks and the co-axials jacked up. If the cops pulled you over, they'd just make you pour out any open containers and let you ride if you weren't too out of line. Those days are gone. Cry Discordia.

  • @badman400 I've poured a few out on the ground up here in Winston-Salem North Carolina back in the late 70's !!! Those were the days and this song was part of the soundtrack of my coming of age years. These kids today have no idea how cool those times were.

  • @badman400 du glücklicher

  • dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm memories , our 8- tracks, big fat tires, alot of horsepower, errrrrrr and alot of tickets lol.

  • I love this remake of Robert Johnson's song. Its all right!! HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!

  • its foghat~~~plainj a smpile~~~~o~side calfiorna

  • I actually had this album in college. Used to rock it out. Love old Robert Johnson tunes. Did you know every single RJ recorded has been redone? What a master

  • I used to play the hell out of this 8 track stoned to the bone cruzin on a friday nite.

  • In my high school days all the heads wood rock out to this and get Right for 1st hour.

  • I remember...driving down the highway with this song blasting...This is another song that I NEVER hear played on the radio.

  • i tried fishing in a manhole like that, the cops threw me in jail and i thought of this album the whole time and when i got out i blasted it

  • @thesphinx290: No shit? Where? You'd think cops would have real crime to deal with.

  • @tripfunkmonster it was in Newago Michigan and cops arent to friendly up there and they love to mess with everyone there

  • @thesphinx290: Wow, sorry to hear that. In most places, cops have their hands full of police work. Something like that would probably just get people breaking out their cameras for a laugh. Peace.

  • @tripfunkmonster hey thanks dude you are down to earth and i respect you for that

  • @thesphinx290; Keep rockin'

  • @thesphinx290 down to earn is the way to be maaaaaan. *passes you the blunt*

  • My favorite song on the album. I had this on 8-track - the tape smelled like weed.

  • @tripfunkmonster My older sister had this on 8 track too, i used to sneak into her room an blast this song !!!!

  • ahh good cover of robt johnson

  • dam fantastic song, now i wish someone would put sara lee on here, its on the same album

  • @prizetime Sara Lee is actually on their first album brother (self titled). This is from Fool for the City.

  • @ouorange , i stand corrected, it sure is

  • @prizetime Yeah man, my dad's a huge Foghat fan. He got me into them when I was a kid.

  • Back in the 70s, I was fortunate enough to live near the band when they moved to the U.S. They hung out a lot in a particular club (usually Roger Earl & Scott McGregor)and occasionally got on stage and jammed. It was very cool and they kicked serious ass. You could hear Roger Earl a block away - he's also hilarious.

  • I was in high school when this was recorded (75). This was one of the greatest Rock albums ever recorded in the 70s and this was my favorite song.

  • Man, im diggin the song and cover. Its awsome when i find new songs that are just straight groovin to me, and i like the cover too. Im pretty sure thats a GTO 3 cars back.

  • Great song the boys of Foghat. I used to wear out this song back in the day.And yes Rod is the King of slide.

  • @savoybrowne finally someone who agrees. duane allman is the prince of slide. but rod is king

  • agree with king of the slides. rip dave and rod.

  • How the hell did this tune get missed on Foghat " best of " ??? IT'S A KILL- LAR !!

  • Only 3,249 views. I'm one of the privileged few.

  • Rod Price, King of the slide !

  • Comment removed

  • the curves of cars really mirror the times. superimposed shells for the monkeys

  • Adore Robert Johnson. good for Foghat.

  • @mgwilliams1000 flashback cruising along thinking we are going 70....actually 35.

  • Rockinest song on the whole album! This wasn't even on radio back when I was in high school but we played it in our cars and our crappy stereos back then (had to get the vinyl and 8-track at the record store that no longer exists). Our parents thought we were insane for listening to this!

  • @mgwilliams1000 You definitely sound like a child of the 70's! We were so lucky compared to what the kids are fed today that's labelled "Music"!

  • @Thunderfingers999 Thanks. 53 years and going and still can kick anyone's ass!! HA. My granddaughter loves this stuff... so there is still hope.

  • @Thunderfingers999 Yes, you were lucky. But there is hope. I'm 22 and there's nothing I'd rather listen to than Savoy Brown, Foghat, etc...

  • @nukeycookey don't forget about Zeppelin

  • @mgwilliams1000 right there with you bro ;)..

  • @mgwilliams1000 I still have all these albums and managed to keep them in good condition, I love gettin' them out and crankin' up the stereo with old Buddies a case of beer and a big fatty LOL Just like the old Humble Pie album says "Smokin'"

  • i like the old cars on the album cover

  • Yes finally!!!

  • been lookng for this too damn long---CRANK IT UP and smoke it out!!!!!!!!!!!

  • RIP IT UP ROD!!!

  • Foghat's first two albums alone are the pinnacle of blues rock. They aren't overly refined or drenched in unpalatable amounts of effects, but there's a raw power to them and when you hear Foghat, it isn't difficult to realize that every member of the band was an exceptional musician. Thanks for posting this.
