  • As religion, mariage is "out" in France, where the majority of children born outside mariage. For legal reasons (taxes, heritage, etc) you'd better get married, but that was consider unfair. From the late 1990's, you can have a "PACS" (kind of mariage, but without the decorum). Largely use by heretosexual, it can also be use by gays. Remember that the French Revolution was the first to consider gay rights (1789).

  • So Homophobic :P

  • do you want people to get the facts straight, or vote yes on prop h8?

if they got their facts straight they would know that voting for prop h8 is to vote to make america a communist nation

  • Hmm funny that they did not mention anything from their research about the countries who allowed same sex marriage. Cause I live in Canada and since 2005 same sex marriage has been legal in our country and guess what our children are doing just FINE!!!

  • Wow France must have a lot of test and conduct research before they hand out a marriage certificate to make sure you're fit to be a responsible parent since the rights of the child are apparently so important.

Just kidding, they singled out fags because the committee is homophobes that dont want to think about two dicks going at it. That' cool, it happens a lot.

  • Now this is why I'm proud to be an American! YEAH!! WHAT!! xD

Can't wait for Prop 8 to be repealed!

  • K10star doesn't seem to realize the implications of his interpretation of France's decision. Per his interpretation, heterosexual couples who plan to have children are just as "bad" as any gay couples or single parents. From what he has stated in his video, it seems France was more committed towards supporting children whose conception was unexpected. Of course, France deeply supports the civil rights of all humans, especially gays and their families.

  • You obviously didnt watch the video!

At the time I posted this information MANY homosexual activist videos were FALSELY claiming that the US was the ONLY country that prohibits same-sex marriage.

I created this video as a response to those lies, and to point out the frequent lies and misrepresentations made by these activists.

You have no idea what my personal interpretation of this data is, as its not stated in the video. I only reported the facts.

  • Which other countries allow it? In the video you said there were 5.

  • canada also i cant think of the others

  • Basically France just created a new form of bastards since only opposite-sex spouses of their mom or dad will be obliged to assist them.

  • Are you serious fatherless children, so divorces should be prohibited regardless of the reason.

  • This government really didn't think on the best interest of the children. They didn't think on the damage they are doing to gay families that already exist by considering them as being below society standards.

  • wow thank god prop 8 will be over turned

  • Funny how the netherlands is home to the worlds happiest children even though they have gay marriage throughout the country and teach young children about homosexuality.

  • Theres a difference between the age appropriate teaching of kids about sex & homosexual indoctrination. My happy kids learned about sexuality at an appropriate age! They know which friends & family are homosexuals & heterosexuals. They recognize that we don't treat any of them differently.

The key is indoctrination. Many studies have found that children of same-sex couples are significantly more likely to become homosexuals than kids raised by heterosexual couples. Its a learned behavior.

  • @k10star "children of same-sex couples are significantly more likely to become homosexuals than kids raised by heterosexual couples" that's a load of bollocks. I'm not even going to argue against such nonsense. You truly are degenerate, filthy scum.

  • @McDjB1 You are simply showing your stupidity, especially in calling me names. I have relatives, friends and neighbors who have chosen a homosexual life style. They know me, but they don't call me names. You don't know me but you call me names because I dare to quote truthful scientific facts?

  • @k10star Chosen? They chose nothing. Your facts have no evidence to support them, only your worthless opinion.

  • @McDjB1 About 30 years ago when I learned that my Uncle was gay I became quite bold in asking friends to talk about their sexual orientation. Out of all my personal queer and lesbian friends/family only a few say they really feel they were born that way. Some of them actually wear it like a badge of honor or maybe a slap in their overzealous parents faces. If you dont think its a choice you must not know many homosexuals.

  • @McDjB1 After decades of research there is ZERO scientific evidence to support a Gay Gene but there is significant research that shows being gay is learned. Many studies have shown that being gay appears to be the result of ones social environment and upbringing. Studies also show that children raised by gay parents are far more likely to choose a gay lifestyle. Some say up to 7 times more likely.

I suggest you grow up and study facts instead of ignorance and name calling!

  • @k10star Actually, it has been proven that it is more than likely that it is genetical. After all the "Nurture" theory was thought up by Freud who was a sex addict. Well obviously those statistics are wrong because there are more straight parents who bring up gay children otherwise there wouldn't be any gays!

  • @McDjB1 Its amazing is how many researchers are trying to conceal these findings. Even the APA is backing down on the concept of a gay gene after looking for proof for over 20 years. There are at least 9 studies funded by pro-homosexual groups whose findings show that children raised by homosexual couples are 4 to 10 times more likely to be non-heterosexual. • @k10star But does it matter? Do we need to know?

  • @McDjB1 Yes it matters. A small, very organized group of activists are getting huge groups of followers that are fighting for a cause. They dont recognize they are being manipulated by the small group of leaders. They are following blindly and if they realized the real goals they would probably run the other way. Is there a hidden agenda? I and many others believe there is. Thats why many of my gay friends support me in these postings.

  • @k10star That isn't even a logical reply, are you suggesting that there is some kind of homosexual agenda?

  • @k10star did you notice how that website does not back up any of it's claims with scientific evidence?

  • It's kind of funny. These right wing nut jobs usually hate the french, now all of a sudden they're embracing them.

Even if you buy all of this bullshit, they're missing a key point. They act as if by approving gay marriage, they would be "creating" something new. Gay people already form relationships and have children. Banning gay marriage doesn't change that. It just leaves those families without legal protections that are desperately needed.

  • You are missing KEY points: This video was posted to combat hundreds of misleading videos that make it look like the USA is the only country prohibiting same-sex marriage. France was chosen because they had recent FACTS not bull, from a study of other countries that decided to allow same-sex marriage & the negative results. When prop 22 passed not a single right was lost, CA already gives homosexual couples EVERY legal protection they give heterosexual couples its just not called marriage.

  • @peepers60 Completely agree. I'm french and those right wing nuts have been insulting my country for years. Now that they think France bashes gay they suddenly love us. But they are mistaking. There is some form of gay marriage in France : it's a civil union and it's called PACS. Even if it doesn't allow homosexual couples to adopt a child, it gives them important rights as couples.

  • @RaychSeldon33 Liberals frequently use the French as a sort of standard by which we should all live (which is why those of us who don't want a state similar to the French one really get sick of hearing about the supposed cultural and moral superiority of the French).

The French are frequently cited as "proof" on all issues re: gay tolerance.

So if the French are really acknowledging the existence of a conflict between child's welfare & gay rights, that IS news.

  • @vicorii Well.., i am french and I don't feel "culturaly or moraly superior" to any other nationality. I'm not THAT stupid... French are just like everybody in the rest of the world : we do some things right, and some other things wrong. No more... but no less. That's why there is no such a thing like "the french" who would acknowledge something all together. Some french are defending gay mariage, some others don't want to hear about it. It's a lot like USA for that matter... :)

  • @RaychSeldon33 The point is that there are people in America who have taken to using "the French" as a symbol.

Just as people in places with strong humanist values have taken to using rural Americans as symbols for "the other side" ("Enlightened" humanism vs. ignorant, backwards superstition, is generally how the symbolic imagery plays out)

  • @vicorii Well, on the other hand there was a lot of french bashing in US during the last decade, and it had nothing to do with liberals. That was when french governement didn't want to go to war on the WMD thingy. Then all right wing media started to insult France...

But believe me or not, I still understand what you say about "rural America" being mocked by "elits". As a matter of fact, I did grow up in the countryside, southern France, and we are often mocked that way by Paris' "intellectuels

  • @RaychSeldon33 Once again it looks a lot like what happens in the US : in France, when you have southern accent, people think you're dumb. Just because of the sound of your voice. In France, people don't tolerate "racial jokes" anymore... unless the joke is about a south farmer. It came to a point where a lot of comedians use southern french accent as a cheap trick to "dumb down" the character they play. So yes, I think I can understand that you're fed up...

  • They also probably considered the moral aspects of it. And maybe even the fact that their reproductive demographics say their population is dwindling and cannot sustain a culture. This is why France will be one of the first European nations to become Islamic states in 25 years.

  • If you think France is going to become an Islamic state, you CLEARLY don't understand a thing about French society and culture.

  • "If you think France is going to become an Islamic state, you CLEARLY don't understand a thing about French society and culture."

--Well, you just wasted on opportunity to show me where I'm wrong. Care to waste another?

  • Adoption has been legal for gays and lesbians in CA since the 80's and whether marriage is legal for gay couples will not change that. However, shouldn't the gay couples that do adopt have the benefits and protection that only marriage can provide?

And for everyone's information, because you're Christian does not mean you are against homosexuality. Prop 8 actually took away the freedom for many churches to legally marry their gay and lesbian congregants.

  • Satan does not exist. He is hardly EVER mentioned in the Bible as a real person. He is the symbol of a united evil that exists within man. Man that parades as good, kind, and often...Christian. Satan is FAR scarier than the Devil of your shamanistic superstition.

  • I have studied many religions & found deep rooted similarities in most. Through my life experiences I have come to know that Satan is very real. My sacred scriptures talk about casting pearls before swine. Don't take this wrong, but you dont know me & have not studied what I have so you cant understand how I know what I know, YET. But I will say this. I havent been to Taiwan but I believe it exists. I have been to Japan. I know it exists. Ill explain ONLY IF you sincerely want to know more.

  • Belief is what you have. Knowledge is what you should aspire towards. You seem only to want to aspire towards more belief, but want to forget about knowledge because it shows us that love and acceptance are far better than the ugly and diabolical condemnation to which so many within the modern church ("church") seem to aspire. By the way - religions are very, very dissimilar (except those that are scripturally related, like Islam, Judaism and Christianity). Topic ended.

  • OH MY GOD.

  • You need to go into more detail about how some sex marriage impedes on the rights of children.

  • Childrens rights are affected many ways.

If you study (in detail) virtually every bit of research over the last 20 years on how gay parenting affects children the bottom line is this: Gay parents can raise children--BUT the research shows that kids are better off when raised by BOTH a loving Father & Mother!

Traditional marriage provides at least 14 benefits which are ALL LOST in a gay marriage & some of the harm is irreversible. Search: MA Judiciary Commission By Louis DeSerres, BA, MBA

  • I'm not so sure I can understand why gender is important as long as the child has loving parents, I guess I'll need to read those studies you mentioned.

Even if it could actually be proven that a child does better in a household with a mother and a father the right answer would not be to prohibit same sex marriage, it would be to prohibit same sex couples from having children.

Isn't marriage about more than children?

  • Its been proven over & over again in some of the biggest studies ever done over the last 20 years. These problems not only affect children of same sex couples, but of single parents too. Why should we intentionally raise kids at a disadvantage? My wifes mom died young leaving young children at home. Her dad remarried. I know that it's not always easy, but I feel parents should put their kids before their own personal desires. Ive been married 27 years. When we have problems we work them out.

  • Throughout recorded history there has always been a word equivalent to marriage that means a sacred covenant between God, one man and one woman.

The legal definition eliminates God but its still always been between Man and Woman.

Most Americans want gay couples to have equal rights, but what gives them the right to change the definition of a word.

Can I FORCE everyone to start calling my dog a cat? After all I like the word cat better & they are both 4 legged domestic animals.

  • What reason do we have not to expand the legal definition of marriage? I can understand where people are coming from (I don't agree) when they say having both a mother figure and a father figure is important and gay couples can not meet those criteria, but that is an issue seperate from marriage.

As far as I can tell gay people only want to be recognized as married on a legal level, they don't want to alter the religious definition of marriage, what is wrong with that?

  • Definitions dont expand or change. For example the word GAY first appeared centuries ago & it had the same sexual connotation then as it does now.

Actually they do want to alter the religious definition. I have gay activist friends that have shared their agenda. It's NOT about using marriage as a shortcut to benefits. Its actually their 1st step toward silencing Christian values & teachings. Getting the legal benefits is NOT enough. These activists truly fit the definition of bigot.

  • But definitions do grow and change, English is a living language. There are actually respected dictionaries today that cal safe sex marriage valid. I'm not sure about the word gay, I thought the sexual connotation was fairly new, but I'm not sure. Definitions definitely do expand and change in any living language though.

I can't speak for all gay people based on my experience, that would be an overgeneralisation. The gay people I know only want to have the same rights as every other person.

  • Definitions do change all the time, but not the definitions of words like marriage. Take red for example. It's a color, but many years ago it also came to mean operating a business or budget at a loss. "They are operating in the Red." Also new words are created all the time. For example, not many years ago prioritize didn't exist. But instead of saying "put the list in priority order, someone coined the word prioritize. The word homophobe is another created word that just doesnt even make sense

  • I agree most gay people only want to have the same rights. But they are blindly following the activists that want much more.

I bet your gay friends are NOT the ones who vandalized, slashed, spray painted and stole my Yes on 8 signs or parked their van in front of Prop 8 donors homes painted "A Bigot lives here."

Between Prop 8 and Prop 22 I had about 100 signs stolen or vandalized but nobody touched my neighbors No on 8 signs. (Note: I only had 2 Yes on 8 signs in my yard at a time.)

  • I guess my question is, why change the definition of marriage?

If the meaning a word has been the same for centuries, why change it?

    Your reason CANT be discrimination.

The definition of marriage is applied to all citizens, regardless of race, color or any other division. Both homosexuals & heterosexuals have to abide by the same legal definition.

I fall back to my old analogy: Nobody has the Right to change the definition of CAT to include DOGs. The whole idea is just stupid.

  • I don't think there is a concrete definition of marriage, but it still essentially is discrimination to say that everybody needs to adhere to a definition that only defines heterosexual couples as being able to marry. By definition a homosexual is a person who is exclusively attracted on a sexual and romantic level to people of their own gender, saying they only have the right to marry people of the opposite gender is almost like saying they are not allowed to be gay.

  • Actually its NOT discriminatory. You are listening to the twisted & divisive language activists are using in an attempt to inflame raw emotion rather than expose actual truth. The definition of marriage is applied to all citizens, regardless of race, color or any other division. Just as same-sex individuals may not call their relationship marriage, so heterosexuals may not engage in polygamous relationships & call them marriage. The definition of marriage doesnt prevent people from being gay.

  • Actually, it is my objective and independent opinion that not allowing homosexuals to marry is discrimination. Marriage is something you can observe in many different cultures and there is a lot of variation between cultures regarding its definition and purpose. The only thing marriage has in common between cultures is that it bonds people together.

  • You are correct in saying that the "definition" of marriage does not prevent people from being gay. Nothing can prevent anyone from being gay - gay people seem to be the ONLY ones that understand this basic fact. However, it sends a heinous message to people who think it acceptable to bash gays. Supporting such laws is tantamount to declaring open season on all gays and lesbians - even those who are still children. It is ugly. Europe generally understands this. Catch up.

  • Legally defining marriage as a union between 1 man & 1 woman is NOT tantamount to declaring open season on gays but asking voters to restore the definition does seem to make it open season for gays to vandalize my property, violate my rights and call me a bigot. Thats the biggest reason so many of my gay friends voted YES on prop 8. I put 2 yes on 8 signs in my yard at a time. Yet between prop 22 & prop 8 I had over 100 signs stolen, spray painted, slashed or burned. You want us to catch up?

  • Can't you see that you are condemning a HUGE community based on the childish behaviour of a few of its members? Also, don't you think it a little insensitive to put "Yes on 8" signs in your yard? To many lesbian and gay people, it is tantamount to putting up a "God hates fags" sign. Not very Christian of you, eh? Mark my words, you will live to see gay marriage legalised throughout the USA in the next decade, despite voter disagreement. You are flogging a dead horse. Adapt or die.

  • Im not condemning anybody. Im just pointing out how gay activists wont settle for tolerance. Its their way or nothing. They are truly bigots. They also see nothing wrong trying to silence Christians.

I believe its insensitive for a tiny minority group to try change a definition that is sacred to us. Invent your own word, dont counterfeit ours.

God loves all his children. I know that he has given us commandments to live by in this mortal existence. Continued...

  • Part 2. These commandments can be challenging to obey. But he has promised to never give us a commandment we are not capable of living.

Some are challenged with alcohol addiction some with same-gender attraction and others have different challenges. Its up to us to overcome them and grow in the process. It been prophesied that in the last days before Christ comes again the constitution will hang by a thread, so you are probably right. Continued again...

  • Part 3. Despite the will of the people Satan will continue to lead people astray.

But since I know the truth, I have been commanded to warn my neighbors.

We live in a free country. I have lots of friends and associates of all different beliefs, backgrounds and orientations. That is the beauty of this country. Putting up a Yes on 8 sign in NO WAY says God hates fags. But it is our legal right. We are just trying to prevent others from taking away our religious freedoms.

  • Putting up that sign may be your right - but it does not make it right. You do not know what "free" means if you think it gives you the right to abuse minorities. For that reason, I doubt very much that your country is a free one. And judging by your medical care, your wars, and your interminable record of teenage violence (and violence in general) I seriously suggest you vote correctly. Ah! But you just have. Yet, I think I was more a vote of desperation than ethics.

  • Actually, France recognises Civil Unions. And as from July 2008, it recognised gay marriages that are performed abroad. For example - if you get married in, say, the Netherlands or Sweden, the French government is now obligated to recognise your marriage. Also, 68% of France agrees with same-sex marriage. It is only church conservatives (as usual) holding back progress, but - as I have shown - time is running out. Freedom is coming. Europe is not America.

  • Besides the traditional family is the basic unit of society. What makes you think that destroying it is progress? Look at history! Why do you want to repeat the same old mistakes?

  • Why lie, exaggerate & belittle others beliefs to make your point?

Yes, France has a statute authorizing PACS (civil unions) but the Government was FORCED by the European Court of Human Rights to recognize outside gay marriages.

What's your source for the 86% quote? ELLE did a non-scientific poll where 64% were for gay marriage. But the TNS-Sofres survey put it at 45% FOR & 51% AGAINST same sex marriage & only 35% were FOR gay adoption.

Very different that what you are insinuating.

  • You are the one that has exaggerated and lied. Firstly, I did NOT say that 86% supported gay marriage. Secondly, it is you who belittle gay families through your hatred. The TNS Sofres pole was the ONLY pole that was below 58%.

Here is the CORRECT list of poles:

Gallup pole: 58% in support of gay marriage.

Elle pole: 63% in support of gay marriage.

TNS Sofres pole: 45% in support of gay marriage.

IPSOS pole: 62% in support of gay marriage.

Take the average, and you do the math.

  • Sorry, I reversed the 6 & 8. But these are NOT the only surveys/polls. How can you even count things like a reader poll by Elle which was 64% not 63%. Look at their demographics. How many families would even be aware of it?

I guess it comes to this; out of the many gay friends& family that I have, only a few (3) want to call their union marriage or family. For that matter, I & most of my gay friends live in CA & if I told you how many of them voted YES on prop 8 you would call me a liar.

  • protect children?? are you protecting them from being open-minded and accepting of all people and rooting thier minds in discrimination? the same children that may grow up to be that gay couple who's rights you've taken away.

  • This video was posted to refute the claim that ONLY the US prohibited gay marriage.

Prop 8 was NOT about discrimination.

Equal Protection under the Constitution requires laws be applied regardless of an individuals characteristics or situation, just as justice is administered blindly.

The definition of marriage is applied to all citizens, regardless of race, color or any other division. Both homosexuals & heterosexuals have to abide by the same legal definition.

  • Gays cannot marry, Gays cannot adopt children, Gays are prohibited from using surrogate mothers and are forbidden from using artificial insemination... huh, thats strange, this commercial sounds like an excerpt from The Diary of Anne Frank. Just replace Gays with Jews and you've got another propagandized commercial drafted by the Nazi party.

  • gays should keep their acts of sodomy to themselves. gay acts are an abomination and negatively affects the rest of society. being gay should not be encouraged as it is truly an abomination.

  • "gays should keep their acts of sodomy to them selves"

You idiot, many gays hate anal sex just like many straight people love it. I know that and i'm not even gay, not that that matters. Your religiously hinted bigotry does though. Why are gays an abomination? because scripture says so?

  • you idiot, gays should keep their acts of sodomy to themselves. no one wants to know about their disgusting and immorral behavior.

  • "no one wants to know about their disgusting and immorral behavior"

lol why are gays so evil? What gives you the knowledge to judge them as such? Where do you get your absolute knowledge of morality? I'm guessing scripture, which is completely laughable.

  • This is the funniest crock of shit I've ever heard. Protect children from what? 99% of gay people are products of straight couples you moron! LOL

  • This video is stupid as are those that made it. It is indicitive of the ignorance and misinformation that is promoted by religiously and right-wing motivated savages think. They have no comprehension, nor scientific proof for what they assert. And any proof they do have can be researched and found to be relgiously funded and ultimately Biased and Invalid. What happened in Ca. shows what happens when churches get involved in democracy. It is wrong, and should be illegal for them to do.

  • ya its a super stupid video, so wat they are saying in this video is that same-sex couples produce unhealty imoraly wrong children?!!?!? thats so stupid.....

  • Wow, I never thought I'd live to see the day that conservative suggest we do anything like the French...

  • I'm against both extremes. gays deserve respect & 2 not have insults hurled at them. But marriage has a definition of a man & a woman. If u say that marriage that excludes gays is discriminatory, then the word 'heterosexual' is discriminatory. Holding 2 the definition of words is NOT bigotry. Marriage = man + woman. It's simple. We r losing the value of words if we can't describe things as they r. Language itself is at threat. If u r looking 4 affirmation in your life, its not the way 2 go.

  • Yes, because ALL Heterosexual Couples produce happy families with NO DIVORCE. Frace is stupid. What a retarded video.

  • when you say "protect" children, what exactly would happen if a child is taken from a foster home and put into a real home?

  • Can you please rephrase your question? I dont understand what you are trying to ask.

  • great, use france as an example of what to do. NOBODY LIKES THE FRENCH

  • I'm sorry, I was really interested in hearing what your video had to say, really... I do agree that the children's rights should be valued over their parents' agendas, but shouldn't that also apply when their agenda is anti-gay?

You show the results of this study, but none of the research or findings. This is distorting the image of what's really going on. I'm curious as to what the French parliament's reasoning was behind their decision.

    Could you please explain... How?

  • This video made me proud to be french.

  • Who cares about the fucking kids. Parent's today don't know how to raise or communicate with them. Teen pregnancies/ sexual activity is at its highest. Besides, by the time people my age (20ish) are old, America will have fallen like rome and athens and today's generations of kids will be dead and meaningless like a cow staring at a newly installed fence. God! The fucking kids?

  • So you say forget the kids, its all about ME, ME, ME?

Some parents do communicate with their kids. Some kids really care. My daughter who is 20ish has earned 2 AA degrees & is only a couple of classes short of earning another AA degree & her BA shes teaching school while completing her degrees & earning her teaching credentials. Her younger brothers have been involved in community service since pre-teen age.

They enjoy "Dating" but are NOT sexually active.

Its all about them, not us!

  • How do you know they're not sexually active? Creep!

  • So do you accept the decision of the French government when the French people overwhelmingly SUPPORT same sex marriage (64%)?

Or do you accept the decision of the Californian people that don't support same sex marriage, when the Californian government does?

So, you're turning to the French government because you don't like the Californian government? But encouraging people to NOT vote like the French people?

Wow! That makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!

  • Did you watch the video?

It was posted to answer 2 questions and inform people about some of the LIES being put out on other YouTube Videos. 1st gay activist want people to believe that the US is the ONLY country that prohibits same-sex marriage. And 2nd gay activists want people to believe that every other country that has considered allowing same-sex marriage has said yes.

It says nothing about liking the French government better than CA, or even if their decision was right or wrong.

"I think this organized atheism is a religion." That would be because you are an idiot.

Well, you defeated my argument with a liberal's sense of reason. Obama, here are your supporters.

I experienced a taste of what was in "Expelled" by Ben Stein. That is the liberal's version of burning you on a stake. "Tolerance" Ha!

  • You say "Is GOOD enough, or do we want BEST if it's available." Well did you stop to think that the kids who are being adopted dont have a hundred mommys and daddys nocking at child services door to adopt them. Many children grow up in child protective services, clearly "GOOD" is better then "BEST" because "BEST" is not usually available to these children.

  • So basically this video is saying that is a child's right to be straight? Ummm what if that does not work out??

  • My how the worm begins to turn...6yrs ago, we hated France for not joining our stupid war. But now, we follow their example? How convenient.

  • That was one of the most disgusting and hateful things I've ever seen.

  • I have noticed that homosexual advocates love to use the word hate!

Exactly what is disgusting and hateful about answering a valid question with verifiable facts?

I'm guessing that if I posted a video showing a loving Father, Mother and Child and spoke of the important role the family plays in society... you probably would have posted the exact same comments.

    "Stop the Hate!"

  • Yes, they were valid questions and the facts may be verifiable. That does not make the conclusions the French came up with moral. To strip away the rights to marriage, childbearing and parenthood because of the organs one has is discriminatory and hateful.

Family is important, but I don't see how 2 men, 2 women, or a single parent and child aren't family. People raise people, penises and vaginas don't. Anyway, enjoy your battle with the straw man though, you seem to be losing that one too.

  • I posted this controversial video to raise discussions about prop 8 not propose a ban on gay families! I have gay family/friends.

Homosexuals can be great parents. But research shows kids are better off raised by a loving Father & Mother.

Single parents & gay couples CAN raise kids, BUT AGAIN the influence of BOTH Father and Mother is better... right from the same research papers used to establish that Gay Parents make good parents.

Is GOOD enough, or do we want BEST if it's available.

  • Yes because No matter how much SUGAR you pour on posion It's still Posion! ANY Words are Biased reports used to take away the rights of a group of people is HATE! You lose Nothing

when Homosexuals Have CIVIL Marriage but yet You want to deny it! What reason ? YOU Don't like it! Talk about DOG IN THE MANGER!

  • CA Civil Unions provide the same benefits as same-sex marriage. If 8 had failed gays would still NOT be eligible for federal benefits or benefits in other states.

A FEW activists have pushed for the word MARRIAGE because it's an important part of their agenda. Most Gays have no idea what these activists are trying to accomplish & they have been manipulated by these few.

Their agenda? - Unequal Protection under the law, Silencing Christian Teaching & Indoctrination of Kids to name a few.

  • Children can not be INDOCTRINATED ONLY Educated Children do NOT TURN HOMOSEXUAL!

  • That's not true and there are valid studies to prove it. One APA study showed kids raised by lesbians were nearly 24% more likely to try a homosexual relationship than those raised by heterosexual parents.

Most studies are not that drastic, but schools are noting that peer pressure is also a strong influence and right now being gay is becoming very popular.

At age 5 kids don't need to learn about homosexuality and bisexuality but that's part of the gay agenda, and it's ALREADY happening!

  • k10star So? I would rather my daugther be an Adult before having sex But other than That Sex is Sex and I would hope that she was of age and used good judgement in partners and of course practiced safe sex. Besides You don't Think I have a right TO BE UPSET that People Tell MY DAUGHTER HERS MOTHERS ARE GOING TO or THAT THEY ARE CHILD MOLESTERS or that They ARE NOT DESERVING OF THE EQUAL RIGHTS OF OTHERS? Like Mormons. That even CONVECTED FELONS have the right to marry But

    Not her Parents?

  • That should read that people don't seem to think That I should not mind them telling my Daughter her mothers are going to hell!

Adults have Told my daughter her parents are evil, That her parents are whores! SO MUCH FOR LOVING AND PROTECTING CHILDREN OR IS THAT ONLY THE CHILDREN OF CHRISTIANS NEED PROTECTING.

  • Then maybe, at age 5, kids don't need to be learning about heterosexuality either.

  • Being gay is becoming very popular? What are you smoking, sir? Grade schoolers love calling each other "gaywad" and "faggot", and those aren't terms of endearment.

  • When I overhear homosexuals, they often use words like "faggot" , "bitch" and "queer" as terms of inclusion; meaning that it is popular to be a fudge packer.

  • Umm... no, that means being gay is popular among gay people. Duh.

  • and yes on 8 advocates love to use and throw around the words, "bible" and "children" like they were a damn super ball.

  • See, now this is a good ad. It is informative and it is peaceful. It doesn't attack the other side. It doesn't make stuff up about the other side or misrepresent their positions. Try finding any of that on the No on 8 side.

  • Believe, this video is anything BUT informative. In case you didnt know, France has civil unions, they have adoption laws for gay people (recently) and France recognizes gay marriages from another country. As you see, this ad is anything but informative. Do your own research and you'll see theres more info left out.

  • Quit twisting the TRUTH!

Nothing in the video suggests that France doesn't allow civil unions.

Gay adoption IS AGAINST THE LAW in France!

The only (recently) is that the European Court of Human Rights overturned the FRENCH court in ONE case earlier this year.

There is not ONE misstated FACT in this video but your comment sure seems to be intended to mislead people.

The NO side seems to constantly inflate the number of homosexuals & omit the studies that show MOM & DAD are best for kids!

  • Twisting the truth?? Id never steal that talent from you!!

No gay adoption in France?? Read this:

    time . com /time /world / article /0,8599,1706514,00 . html

Your whole video is FULL of wrong facts. Take a look at what France allows civil unions and recognizes gay marriages from other countries. Youre full of crap.

Mommies and daddies are NOT the only family out there. We need to protect ALL families, not your nazi-like idea of family.

  • Who are you trying to fool?

Did you READ the time article? It simply stated THE FACTS I mentioned about the European Court overturning the FRENCH Court in ONE CASE because of a legal loophole in the LAW that prohibits Gay couples from adopting!

If my video is FULL of wrong facts why don't you name them? Oh, that's right, none of the facts are wrong!

You keep saying I'm a homophobe-nothing could be further from the TRUTH. I'm just tired of a few Gay Activists trying to step on my rights.

  • From the article: "The decision sets a precedent not just across the 27-nation European Union, but throughout the 47-member Council of Europe." --> Do you know what that means legally?? Im sure not.

Full of wrong facts? Let me name you one: France recognizes gay marriages from other countries!!!! You name that stupid right-wing study that was done 7 years ago when things are DIFFERENT in France today!

And why the hell do you care what happens in France???? If you do, then do a deeper research!

  • Hey why don't you try watching the video and listening to it? The video presented the findings of research done by the French Parliament two years ago. It didn't say what their laws are now. Yes France has civil unions, but it is blind to the parties involved. Meaning that it is not in place to accomodate homosexuals. Siblings can enter these pacts, as can foreigners. It is basically a contract with the benefits of marriage but without the commitment.

  • Oh I already did. The research wasnt conducted by the French Parliament for starters. It was conducted by the president of the French National Assembly. Second of all, since when civil unions are exclusively for homosexuals? In CA straight people can enter into civil unions as well.

LGBT situation in France today is different than this stupid, misleading and bigoted video is. And since when do people here care about what happens in France anyway?!?!

  • "Parliamentary Report on the Family and the Rights of Children." Requested BY Parliament--and it backfired. Gay advocates expected the report to favor, not reject gay-rights.

This report was published LESS than 2 years ago... I'm sure that the France today has really changed a lot in the last 2 years... oh, or have they? Gay adoption is still against the law, gay surrogacy is still against the law, gay marriage is still against the law (yes they recognize ss marriages from other countries)

  • Well lets see... Gay adoption law was recently challenged and lost. France recognizes gay marriages from other countries, and also France has civil unions for gays and lesbians.... HMMMM Yup, Id say France has changed a lot in the past 2 years.

  • You're still trying to twist facts & blow things out of proportion!

France's recognition of gay marriage from other countries is NOT new!

Neither is their civil union, which is actually a PAC (Pacte Civil de Solidarité) & they have been legal since 1998.

You are also blowing this "Recently Challenged" gay adoption law out of proportion too.

It was the European Court of Human Rights that overruled Frances court. Now gay INDIVIDUALS can petition to adopt, but gay couples still can't!

  • Well I leave blowing things out of proportion to you. Again, I still ask myself, who cares what happens in France here?

But anyway, civil unions were established in 1999, BUT after that conservative study was conducted, they gaye PACS more rights to be closer to marriage.

Also, you dont understand the consequences of that gay woman being able to adopt in France. Wont take long for couples to follow.

And out-of-France gay marriages were recognized in Jly 2008. Pretty recent, right?

  • BelieveIt1051 What K10star doesn't say is tha the french gov. Is considering allowing ADULT INCEST MARRIAGE! BETWEEN SIBLINGS OR ADULT OFFSPRING AND PARENT If they agree to be STIRILIZED.

  • Why would I want to say that, it has nothing to do with the issue being discussed.

  • Because it Shows the Clear Homophobic attitude

of the french! THAT THEY WILL ACCEPT THE CLEAR BIOLOGICAL TABOO OF INCEST. But won't accept the natural and honorable love of same sex. And if you think explaining Homosexuality to a child is HARMFUL TRY EXPLAINING To a Child WHY A GIRL IS MARRING HER DADDY!

  • Freeserain, dont get confused by this misleading video. This study was conducted by right wing people. The french people are very acceptive to gays, and Ive read some articles that the majority is in favor of gay adoption and even marriage.

  • ch5342 thanks for the up date

  • Why fight the desire?!? Just because you love someone , that doesn't make it right. I'm married and it is my natural instinct to have sex. Does that mean its ok if I have sex with someone other than my husband if I love them? No! restraint is required. The world would be better place if people practiced a lot less self-indulgence. Families would be stonger, there would be fewer DUIs, and fewer people in financial trouble- just to name a few!

  • GODDAMNiT I DONT NO HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE TO SAY THIS ITS NOT A FUCKING LIFESTYLE CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS WHO U R. I BET IF A CONSERVATIVE SUDDENLY FOUND HE WAS GAY HE WOULD BECOME WISER ABOUT IT. TRY LIVING IN A GAY PERSONS SHOES C HOW U LIKE IT. (congrats to the 5 countries who support it.THEYRE MAKING PROGRESS CALIFORNIA ISNT)

  • Your profile says youre 17. Do you know how to look up the meaning of a word?

Lifestyle: A way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group

Just like Heterosexuality, Homosexuality IS a style of living reflecting your attitudes and values.

Even being a Christian or an Alcoholic is a "lifestyle" choice.

Even if your genetic makeup predisposes you to alcoholism, you can choose not to drink!

Ultimately your lifestyle is up to you.

  • Well if you wouldnt like ppl who r the same sex as u right? it wouldnt feel right. its the same thing with gays!

  • As humans we are blessed with the ability to learn from others experiences. I dont have to be queer or lesbian to learn about the gay lifestyle.

There are many people who were born gay who later in life developed opposite-sex attraction. Not that they became bisexual, but they are no longer attracted to sexually to the same gender.

Many have written books about their life, and even provide professional or volunteer counseling to those who are confused about their sexual attractions.

  • there are equal numbers of people who have been in the same position who say it's horseshit.

    Who to believe, eh?

  • because they r not sure. i bet they would like to choose. i read a comment on another prop8 vid (a little unreliable yeah but ill take chances) who said his parents were gay, but would choose to be straight if they had a choice.

  • ans what happens when some of those kids grow up and realize theyre gay? where is their protection then?

  • What "protection" are gay people denied right now?

  • The protection and social status that marriage gives to any couple or family are being denied to gay couples.

  • Marriage doesn't give that to ANY couple. Only to a couple that meets the conditions for marriage. Sexual preference is not one of those conditions and never has been. Therefore gay people are not denied those protections.

  • Believeit1051, Id suggest you do some research about marriage and the social status of it. Not only civil unions make people second class citizens, they dont offer the protection of marriage in any level.

Sexual preference was never a condition to get married, as you stated. Therefore, gay people should be allowed to get married to the person they love, as you stated as well.

  • In certain US states, Gays only get the state federal benefits when getting married, while heterosexual marriages get the 1000+ federal benefits.

    What happened to equal rights?

  • Thats NOT true! Same-sex "Marriage" is NOT recognized by FEDERAL LAW!

NOT ONE state or federal benefit was lost to gay "married" couples when prop 8 passed regardless where they live.

Get the facts: I suggest you read the last issue of "California Lawyer" it spells it all out.

This whole battle was over the USE of the word Marriage to describe both Heterosexual and Homosexual unions.

Gay activists only HOPE that calling it marriage will lead to additional benefits in the future.

  • And who and how are gay activist trying to step on your rights?? Please, tell me.

You are nothing but another homophobe out there. Simple as that.

  • Just read about what's already happened where same-sex marriage is allowed. People are FORCED to do jobs they are morally opposed to or be sued. Kids are being indoctrinated at young ages and parents can't prevent it. Churches are being forced to change their policy or end up in court. People are losing their jobs because of their beliefs. People are losing their jobs for TELLING people about research findings that go against the gay agenda! I have gay friends/relatives, I'm not afraid of them.

  • If you cant follow the CIVIL LAW due to your religious beliefs, wrong type of job!!! Kids learn to tolerance, something you dont have! Whats wrong with that? It helps the few of them who will grow up to be gay and know its ok. What church is forced to change their "policies"??

Look all the crap you just wrote and you tell me I blow things out of proportion. Whats that research going against the "gay agenda"?

Youre not afraid of them, youre just 100% homophobe. Simple.

  • I thought we lived in a country founded on principals of religious freedom.

Why do you believe someone should lose their job because of their religious beliefs?

You speak of teaching tolerance, but you obviously have no understanding of the word.

Look up the definition! Tolerance implies difference, but you want to force your beliefs on others... that is the definition of word bigotry!

You call me homophobe, but you don't even understand the meaning of this newly coined word.

  • Yes, thats true. But theres a limit to what your religion can do. For example, if your religion kills people, you cant do that. So theres a limit.

Because if you are unable to perform the work you provide and discriminate and go against the law, then you are in the wrong biz. You cant discriminate on race, nat origin, etc etc... You just want to justify your homophobia on religion and sorry, that wont happen.

  • An award winning editor/TV producer on the board of a number of non-profit organizations is hired by the government as an ambassador to work on the Federal Health Policy. He and 34 others publish scientific research documenting risks of homosexuality. Homosexual advocates complain & he is fired! You think he needs to go back to school and learn a new career? Or how about the man who personally donates HIS money to support prop 8 & is is fired when a list of donors appears on the internet?

  • Who is that award winning wditor/tv producer??? Where is that scientific research?? How do you know for certain the reasons he got fired for?

The list of donations for both sides are public records and can be found on the internet.

  • I don't care where you get the records from.

It's flat out wrong to fire someone or force them to resign because of their personal moral views!

These are not people who did anything wrong at work. They were not fired for "Cause" they were fired because they donated to the Yes on 8 Campaign!

    The man is Warwick Marsh.

  • LOL of course you dont care where I get my info. You just want to stick to your misleading and incomplete information.

Ok, so example. My religion says everyone who is white should be stoned. A white person enters my biz, should I stone him/her to death? According to you I should, right?

Send me a link or something about what you wrote. I googled Warwick Marsh and got 1,270,000 hits back.

  • Why can't you hold a rational conversation?

It seems whenever I make a valid point that you can't repudiate, you fly off on some stupid tangent.

What does stoning people have to do with a person being fired because he donated money to a cause he believed in? Especially since stoning someone is illegal in our society but donating to a political campaign is perfectly legal.

Try searching "Australian Health Minister Fires Mens Health Ambassador for Documenting Risks of Homosexuality"

  • A rational conversation? How about you start that and you will join me.

I gave you a perfect example of my PERSONAL BELIEFS interfeering with my job. Whats wrong with that? It is my belief after all, right? Why should I change my job if my beliefs wont allow me to? THATS YOUR RHETORIC, not mine!

Donating to a campaign is excellent, you just cant show me where did people get fired for supporting on 8 THAT arent biz owners. Dont come with the Sacramento producer case because he deserved it.

  • This is something for you and the people who think marriage never changes or that it has been the same since it was "invented" by christianity (BIG LAUGH):;

    psychologytoday . com / articles / pto-20050506-000006 . html

  • Marriage predates your biased article. The first marriage was actually a Sacred Covenant between God, Adam & Eve. That true order of Marriage has NOT changed, but throughout recorded history there have been people who disobeyed Gods marriage covenants. Even after Christ came, the earth fell into the Dark Ages and Gods laws were totally ignored and marriage was grossly perverted. Regardless, of these twists in God's laws, with few exceptions its always been between opposite sexes.

  • EXCUSE ME? Biased?? That's Psychology Today!! Wheres the bias?? Now I finally get you. You are just a religious freak. And you wanted a rational conversation? LOL you are too funny!!

You are just another twisted person who religion consumed your brain and independent thinking. Im done with you. Sit back and relax because your kind will be exposed and we will attain fully equality.

  • Here we go again! Youre acting like a spoiled child.

Who cares if it was published in Psychology Today? The article was written by PT Staff and based on works by Stephanie Coontz and you want people to think its NOT biased?

Then you start in with the name calling again.

Yes, I love God and I want freedom to worship him and honor him. I want to be able to obey his commandments without fear, but I guess thats not going to happen if you get your way.

  • Where is the biased?? Grab any history book and research about marriage througout hisotry and you will find the same conclusions.

You can love your god and worship all you want. Just leave the hell of us alone! Not all of us want to worship imaginary characters!! You religious freaks are disgusting.

  • "Italian center-left opposition and gay groups are up in arms about the Vatican's intention to vote against a French U.N. proposal to decriminalize homosexuality in the world. France [...] will present the proposal at the UN General Assembly later this month as part of a wider campaign to promote the Universal Declaration of Human Rights"

    blogs . abcnews . com / worldview / 2008 / 12 / vatican-opposes . html

YOUR kind and your church are whats TRULY wrong with this world.

  • The only thing thats irrational about this made-up word is its etymology. The word makes absolutely no sense etymologically.

The Greek homo means the same, so literally homophobia means a fear of things that are the same.

So we have a medical sounding word describing heterosexuals as mentally abnormal invented within months of the APA declaring homosexual behavior as mentally normal.

And gay's want us to believe that activists had no hand in the APA changing their tune!!!

  • Give the Sites where you found this. Because

I have friends in Canada and in London Who say other wise the ONly thing homosexual marriage changed were the Homosexuals getting married.

  • Try the last issue of "California Lawyer". There was a great article explaining in legal terms what changes would happen if prop 8 passed or failed. It was written to explain many of the changes regarding family law, tax law etc. that attorneys needed to be aware of. There is actually a 3 part YouTube video by a lawyer & former law professor thats as dry as can be, but he explains it quite well. ProtectMarriageNow is his user name try searching YouTube "Introduction to Same-sex Marriage Law."

  • k10star State One freedom lost to Religious Marriage by Homosexual marriage! STATE ONE religious right lost!Give ONE EXMAPLE of a Heterosexual marriage BREAKING UP OR STIMATIZED by homosexual marriage.

  • Just read about what's already happened in MA, Canada and the 4 other countries that allow same-sex marriage. Religious freedom is suffering. People are FORCED to do jobs they are morally opposed to or be sued. Kids are being indoctrinated at young ages and parents can't prevent it. Churches are being forced to change their policy or be sued. People are losing their jobs because of their beliefs. People are losing their jobs for TELLING people about research that goes against the gay agenda!

  • Civil unions don't get the same benefits from the government as marriages do.

  • You've fallen for the lie! Gay activists want yo
