contd..she realises that she cannot win him on any subject and hence choses to test him in Kamasutra. Sankara requests for some time and enters the body of a dead king thru "Para Kaya Pravesham" to learn the art of sex. However, the kings people try to burn his original body so that the king remains intact. By the time Sankara realises this thru his disciples, he finds shortage of time quickly prays to Lord Narasimha to help him. This is when these stotras are supposed to have been rendered.

Thank you Abhi1402 for uploading this. Its a very powerful and popular hymn written by Adi Shankaracharya. However, unfortunately this particular version is incomplete. The Karavalambam stotras are 25 with 22 the actual renderings and the remaining 3 mention that these are written by Adi Sankaracharya and that those who render this regularly will be fruitful etc.

There is a Sri Narasimha Temple in Little India near the river. I cannot remember the name of the road but it is a little up from the big Meenakshi/Kali temple if you are heading towards Bras Basah Road on the opposite side. You can do puja there and the people are really friendly.

You can find this stotram in stotramala 2 sung by Swami brahmanandaji of chinmaya mission. After looking for this storam very long time i got it now. This stotram in their cd collection is named as sri lakshmi narashima raksha stotram. swamiji has selected 13 verses of the 17 verses from lakshmi narasimha karavalambam stotram. I was unable to obtain a reply for this stotram from chinmaya mission. Then my bil bought all the cds of swamiji and send it to me and i found this stotram

sir, this is wonderful stotra but i came across severaal lyrics on this stotra and there are too many mistakes. i do not know if the mistake is on the lyrics or by the singer. but this slokam misses certain stanzas. i doubt if it is sung by PBS.

Yesterday, I was so angry. I felt like my anger is going out of control. I started browsing youtube videos and came across this melodious stotram. I listened to this stotram and went to sleep. this is chanted by Swami Bramhananda of Chinmaya Mission Bangalore, any Chinmaya Mission should be able to give you.All his chants are very popular.On you tube itself you will find so many of Swamiji's chants eg. Bhagavat Geeta. Chinmaya Mission Bangalore or Central Chinmaya Mission (CCMT) Powai, Mumbai book stall should also have it.Yes his voice is very melodious and soothing! Hari om!

Dear friend: This slokam has been recited by Swami Brahmananda of Chinmaya Mission. You can find this as one amongst a dozen slokas on their Audio Tape/Audio CD - "Stotramaala-2". It costs only Rs.100/- for the CD. And the Tape costs Rs.50/-. Given below is their web-page although it does not contain the titles of all the material that is available in their mission. I am afraid you will have to visit their local office personally for the purpose.
