This is the same song that Lily learned in sunday school but we open and shut our hand like we are praying then we put them in out lap .

It's a way to get them to circle time when we pray and then we see a version of this and then pray ,

at our sunday school at my church they have the kids say:

open shut them open shut them give a little clap open shut them open shut them fold them in you lap.

and thats what we do before praying so that all the kids have there hands folded and are ready to pray.
