Hogan can jabber on about the 'high road' and all that but when he's describing his idea it's obvious he didn't want to put Lesnar over. He still wants to build himself and he's still talking about "passing the torch" in WWF 10 years after he should have passed the torch to Bret Hart. The guy is obssessed with keeping his 'spot' and it is pathetic
Maybe I'm taking his comments the wrong way, but he sounds overly arrogant about himself compared to Flair and that bothers me. Flair may be "second" to being synonymous with wrestling after you, but it's a close second and look at how many guys he put over (and look at WHO those specific individuals are!!!) in his career.
He has good points and bad points, He is explaining the way Wrestling evolves it's characters which he is right, make it mean something ... that formula works, WWE or TNA does not follow up on nothing they do, Both Organizations have talent that shouldn't even be on the payroll, On the other hand, he is trying to keep his self involved, which means big paychecks and more big paychecks! Old school mentality, look out for your self! Hogan came from a time when there was no contracts, remember that
he was playing politics to win his matches and remain over. You can only stay on top so long before people start questioning, "How come Hogan never loses any of his matches or puts people over"? Hogan was still popular in 1989 and into early 1990, but I get the sense that Vince was getting sick of putting up with his shit, especially when he refused to Perfect over. I get the sense that he was looking for somebody fresh, so its no wonder Hogan lost to the Warrior at Wrestlemania VI.
In 1989 and into the early 90s is when his ego started spiraling out of control. There was conspiracy theory flying around that he paid off referee Dave Hebner to ensure that he was the sole survivor and of course in 1990 he refused to put Perfect or the Warrior over by not letting them win the Royal Rumble. A lot of people bought into Hulk Hogan's gimmick during the 80s. He was redhot. He was on fire, in late 1989 and throughout the early 90s, Hulkamanaia was running out of gas and people knew
You've got to understand something about Hulk Hogan. When Hogan first won the belt from the Iron Sheik on January 23rd 1984 at Madison Square Garden, wrestlers couldn't wait to work with Hogan. Everybody loved Hulk Hogan, looked up to him and admired him, because they knew when they started working with Hogan, they would be making a lot of money with him, so Hogan was cool initially in the early to mid 80s with a lot of the boys.
heard the stories bottom line tho. . when billy graham came out on one thought he could be replaced when he left . hogan took wrestling to the next level . andre was the larger than life athelete . him losing to hogan in wrestle mania was probably the biggest thing that ever happened for wrestling . i mean on a world wide level .
@kedordu Yes he did. Hogan took wrestling to the next level, there's no doubt about that, but he did it at the expense of a lot guy's careers, and that's why people hate him as much as they do today. Yes, he's an icon, he's ingrained into the fabric of Americana, but you don't get to become that way without stepping on a lot of guy's toes on your way to the top. Take a look at a guy like Ric Flair. He's an icon but on his way to the top he put a lot guys over didn't he?
People are forgetting that if it wasn't Vince McMahon believe in that guy, Hogan would be still be a nobody in Japan. I mean only popular over there but not popular enough to be here. People don't say that it was Vince who made wrestling global, but it was Hogan. Which I find it a absolute bullshit. If it wasn't for Vince and his amazing mind Hogan would never be Hulk Hogan. So fuck all you hypocrites saying Hogan is the father of wrestling. Give Vince the true props for building wrestling.
@MrPavelSan If nobody believes in you then you're not going to make it to the top. Wrestling is a cutthroat business. You've got to have people believe in you if you expect to make it to the top. You can have all the talent and all the charisma that you want to have. If the front office doesn't believe in you, if the promoters, bookers and storyline writers don't believe in you, then all that talent and that charisma doesn't mean a goddamn thing. People have to believe in you in wrestling.
@MrPavelSan I give Vince props and I think all do. But - The Hulk Hogan character was created in the AWA by Terry Bollea and Verne Gagne, before Hogan even signed on to WWF. Vince had absolutely NOTHING to do with creating the character. He just basically marketed the character. That's where his true talent lies in, marketing.
@maxpower789z I hear ya Bro. I'm 40 and I remember the old hulk hogan. I do remember watching wrestlemania and what it was like at that time. However hogan can't provide anything anymore.
Lulz @ how many people talk shit on Hogan weren't even old enough to see him in his first WWF runs and in WCW. Just cause you saw a little bit in the 2000's doesn't mean you know shit about it!
I was a HUGE hulk hogan fan. I was a kid in the 80's and he was like a god. But some of the videos Ive seen on youtube have made me look at him in a different way. Of course I know theres the Hulk Hogan persona but as a man he seems like a dick.
You know good and damn well hogan wanted to say that i am the greatest of all time but he is too much of a punk and said in "third person" what a bitch
so lets me see here...passing the torch to the younger guys..ehm...yeh..about that...ehm...TNA? ehm..you kinda took it down the shitter..ehm..with all the FUCKING OLD GUYS DOING ALL THE WORK. holy fuck shit, its so obvious that TNA has to go with the young talent. People watch cuz of people like sting. but you HAVE to push the younger guys to get him to (not really sting status but you get the point) and have em wrestle and look good. You will be fucked when the legends retire.
@StopIlluminati1 no way man, listen to the phone calls the police released of Hogan talking to his son in jail, saying how the kid who Nick Hogan left in a vegetative state for life was negative & has bad karma, Hogan is just a raving egomaniac & a real scumbag.
he said he was loyal to the company? well he went to wcw for the paycheck and he came back for the same thing
and even in this interview all he seems to want is for himself to be the top guy, not whats best for the company and the young guys taking it to the next step. he thinks he knows better than vince mcmahon nobody does
Stop beating around the bush with your meaningless bullsh!t Hulk you never wanted to job and only did when Vince made you so cut the crap about it not being right for the business. You forced HBK job to you when you were old and broken down and it made zero sense... and when you're 80 you'll still be playing backstage politics to make younger talented guys job to you, you ego maniac.
And if you're not a great wrestler then you had better brush up on your showmanship and establishing a rapport with the fans, because thats what it takes to conceal the fact that you're not a great wrestler when you're wrestling inside that squared circle and you're limited in that ring to the degree where you have the same damn match every night. That's where the showmanship aspect is going to kick in and save your ass. Real talk.
match with someone. You've got to be versatile, you've got to be able to work different styles and shit. You can only go through the motions so many times when you're in the ring before people start to see through that shit yo. You've got to be able to switch it up and be able to work different styles. If you're workin' the same tired ass match every night with the same opponents, then I'm sorry but people are going to see through that shit and call you out on it. Real recognizes real homie.
one of the reasons why Flair has been able to have such an enduring impact on the wrestling ability. 50% of what Flair did in the ring was wrestling and the other 50% was showmanship to cover up the fact that you're not a great wrestler. Being a great entails more than having the same match over and over again. You have to know how to adapt to different wrestler's styles, strengths, weaknesses, and their way of working inside the ring as opposed to just going through the motions to have a good
@gkgyver There's a big difference between being a great wrestler as opposed to being a showman and going through the motions in the ring. A lot of what Ric Flair lacked in scientific wrestling ability, he made up for with his larger than life personality, charisma and being a great showman and that's absolutely essential to being good at what you're do. When you're not a great wrestler you have to know how to make up for that lack of ability by being able to draw on ur showmanship and thats one
@the44118 I don't consider Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan to be great wrestlers, because their matches are all repetitive. We all know that. They work formula's, go through the motions, and occasionally revamp their style, but for the most part they stick to the script when they're wrestling. However you can't deny that they are wrestling icons. What Hogan and Flair are great showmen. They're showmen, not necessarily great wrestlers. They rely heavily on showmanship and charisma to have good matches.
Lol. When Hogan says that stuff like "Not at all, not at all. You're completely missing the point" and just giving Landsberg that "what the fuck" look when he interrupted him I realize why he told Angle that he really enjoyed interviewing him.
Angle always laughed when he questioned Landsberg to not make it look like that "rough". Hogan on the other hand just says what he thinks without caring about the actual interviewer's feelings. The dude didn't even laugh once during this interview.
Ric Flair is NOT a great wrestler he is a famous wrestler that's STYLE over substance....if you've seen 1 Ric Flair match you've seen em' all!. The same thing can be said about Hogan but Hulk Hogan and Hollywood Hogan both changed wrestling in 2 different eras in 2 different companies. Ric Flair was the same old same old and to disrespect Hogan is to disrespect 25 years of wrestling even the attitude era wouldn't have come if Hogan and NWO angle didn't make WWF step up!
hogan can wrestle how he the greatest of all time! hes popular for hulking up and cant get hurt, If I was macho man I would hate hogan to knowing I was better and losing
I can't stand the way Hogan absolves himself of blame all the time. Truth is, he's usually completely to blame for the things that other wrestlers hate him for. Hogan, just MAN up and admit you that you screwed people over! Stop making excuses, no one's buying it anymore.
OMG hogan actually went lower than i Possibly thought he COULD GO DAMN HE IS MORE OF A SLIME BALL THEN I ALREADY NEW!!!! using 9/11 as a excuse of why He should be the High road that was so phony and so Petty holy shit.. what a cunt
@ltuomela exactly and it is SO OBVIOUS why hogan wants the hIGH ROAD and is not fond of the low road. he DOESNT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO GET BIG OR GIVE ANYONE A PUSH.. he just wants to have everything about him......... unless it is a rare one he give a Push Like Godberg in WCW or Rock or lesnar anyne else EVEN THE DAMN SON IN LAW hhh TAKES A BACK SEAT to Hogan..... hogan realy is so stale now he is trying to Ruin TNA.. god . GAWD
When Hogan talks about "taking the high road" and "after 9/11 people not wanting all that death and devastation", what he really means is that he didn't want to lose.
Sadly, I've watched another interview in which Hogan used 9/11 as justification for him wanting another main-event run in WWE.
i think hogan hit the nail on the head talking about wrestling AND entertaining. Kurt angle definitely is the closest at being a great technical wrestler and entertainer at the same time.
@TheRattyrattyrat what is wrong with Orton he was born with talent the only reason he sucks atm is cause of the way wwe is booking him but when he stared up until the mcmahon storyline he was someone you wanted to watch
@TheRattyrattyrat Prices gone up every year, it's different with the value of money from the 80's from the late 90's. And I bet if wrestling get big again, the money will raise again and someone will beat him. And internet didnt exist in the 80's and merchandise was'nt that exploitated like it is today with a whole other level of marketing.
Vince has his head up his ass. This is the reason punks like Cena and Orton aren't as respected as Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Austin, The Rock etc. is because they're pushed too quickly. He should listen to Hulk.
Hey, I don't feel Hogan is being completely honest. Hogan could have made a suggestion on how to job to Brock but I feel he just doesn't want to job to anyone. He wouldn't job to people like Curt Hennig and Brett Hart or anyone that could actually wrestle.
Very interesting. First time I've heard a pro wrestler say they aren't wrestlers, that college, high school and Olympics guys are wrestlers. What pro wrestlers do is entertainment and there's nobody in modern wrestling except Kurt Angle who is a great wrestler.
Also I agree 100% with him that the fans see Hogan himself as the greatest wrestling entertainer by a landslide. Flair's good and they can hype him all they want but the fan reaction doesn't even begin to compare to Hogan's.
Hogans so full of shit with his "taking the high road" nonsense. WCW spent an entire year building up Sting/Hogan for Starcade and Hogan STILL wouldn't put Sting over clean. Hogan ruined so many wrestlers, angles and feuds because he simply thought Hulk should always be the top guy.
So he wanted to take the "high" road....not realizing how well he was loved for playing the heel in the NwO storyline. He's the only wrestler I've seen, that can go back and forth and make double the amount every time. He needs to drop the "hero" act, and keep on with the being the villain, being infamous is better then being famous, in his case, Hogan can do both better than anyone.
@Moggesa ..It's true. I was the biggest Hogan fan. I was taking my vitamins and saying my prayers every day. That doesn't mean that I have to agree with everything he does now. I loved TNA wrestling, but he's basically ruined it. He's not the same as he used to be. I think you can agree with that.
@Moggesa When I was ten, I went to a WCW show. I was a big WWF fan, but Hulk made me like WCW. He signed a t-shirt for me, patted me on the head and called me "brother". I was ten. To this day it was one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to me. Hulk Hogan was my hero. But he's different now, and not for the better. I don't care if you say I was never a fan; that's just not the truth.
Did Hulk really say he made Lesnar look like a million dollars???
Lesnar will always be 1000x better than Hogan when it comes to wrestling skills, yes Hogan is a bigger name in wrestling but he's also the most overrated wrestler in history!!!
@BishopCR7 To make someone look like a million dollars is to let someone shine wheen they get beat. Hogan put Lesnar over, Brock has great respect for Hogan for that.
@TheRattyrattyrat yes, but some people just have 'it' examples: randy orton, kurt angle, sheamus even the undertaker and hulk hogan and also john cena.
I don't understand how someone like Hogan with his psychology always seems to counter act to his own advice and in-ring psychology, and if it's not him he definitely isn't doing an effort to improve TNA's television.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is the best. Ric Flair and Hogan aren't even top 5 all time. Top 5 all time are: 1. Stone Cold 2. The Rock 3. Shawn Michaels 4. Undertaker 5. Triple H or Bret Hart or Kurt Angle
@supertrollinyourface These are great guys but when Hogan is a face, he can and does walk in and even as an old man blows away the reaction those others get.
hulk hogan fucked up tna beyond recognition but the strange thing is i agree with SOME of his points and if he followed them tna wouldnt be in the state it is now so at the same time hes hypocritical.(unless he doesnt get much say with the creative team)
@jayW817 your last sentence is exactly why tna isnt way it used to be that and he has to try and convince 4 or 5 other people before he can even get an idea to the creative team. those 5 being dixie, jeff, ric, mick, eric and then the head writer. i think if they gave hogan complete control tna would be just as big if not bigger then wwe.
6:04 That's not quite what getting a guy over is, necessarily.
"look bad so they will look good." NO
more like look good while making your opponent look GREAT. you can imagine how frustrated some in this business may get when they go unrecognized simply for jobbing. it is the fucking business. watch the match, who cares who wins?
Shawn Michaels looked like a MILLION BUCKS at Mania 26 but Taker still won...just a recent example.
Heck man, he just didnt get it.He was never signed to be a catalyst for the future stars to reach the heights, he was signed as a screw job so vince could put him in his place.Bit like Flair, Hogan was just there as a jobber, and there were other guys who had been there for the duration that were being used to "pass the torch". Hogan was off in WCW while those guys were there for years, so it's really arrogant to think he was coming back to pass a torch, he threw that torch away when he left WWF
Flair...Is a SECOND to Hogan? Are ya KIDDING ME? Anyone who knows anything about wrestling, knows that Ric Flair IS wrestling. Compare Flair matches to Higan matches. NO CONTECT, Flair hands down. Flair on the mic. Compare to Hogan. FLAIR AGAIN, hands down. What does Hogan offer? A few punches, maybe a back bodydrop, a TON of rest holds. He starts to get a beatdown, "Hulks up", puts his hand on the opponents head, hits his own hand, irish whip, boot to face, legdrop. BORING!!!
@Gh0sTeR1969 Hulk is over Ric Flair because of Hulkamania and his Legendary wrestlemania moments and how he made wrestling very popular and what it is today. Flair didn't do that, couldn't do that. But he was a better wrestler and entertainer, but Hulk wins just because of his effect on the business.
I don't usually agree with everything Hogan says and I have thought that at times he seems extremely arrogant to me. But his comment about how wrestling works, and how you don't always need shock stories seems to get more true every year.
whist hogan is the biggest name in pro wrestling and carried wwf and wcw for a long time, he also played a big part in the death of wcw and and decreasing popularity of tna, the fact is he is no longer in touch with what we want and i don't fault him for that because he may not necessarily agree with everything i do but i do fault him for not hearing us out or paying attention to the ppv numbers because that is the most involved fanbase instead the care about ratings of people who stream ppv's
hogan was deffo right about the warrior the guy couldn't run with the torch for 12 months never mind 10 to 12 years. Hes the only wrestler in the wwf to be the main guy for as long. putting assess in seats without people getting sick and tired of him, ok some maybe did near the end but he still put assess in seats right until he left first time around. Vince should have listened to him at the time, the warrior was never gonna be able to carry the torch for long but WM6 was still amazing

Lansberg is the best wrestling interviewer on earth. Hands down. He always challenges Wrestlers and has really great conversations about the business that sometimes they never expect. They always seem to have a great time talking to him, and he shows his respect for the business, unlike other media figures.
News flash to Hogan haters. Hulk is a businessman who understands the difference between midcard and top billing is the difference between the Motel 6 and the Hilton. $500.00/match < $10,000/match. Hulk did nothing more than Flair, Hall, Nash, Austin, Hart, Michaels, Rock, and Triple H did to keep their top spots. They all politicked. They held others down. They refused to job at times. They made others look bad at times. They knew you get one shot at the top.
Hogan talks for 10 minutes about 'passing the torch'. This is the same man that 'passed the torch' to the Ultimate Warrior, only to immediately steal his thunder be going into the ring and handing Warrior the belt.
Hogan is an asshole who only cares about getting himself over. Period.
And too the idiot who interviewer who said "There has never been a better master of the mic than Hulk Hogan" well, all I have to say is Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock.
"Someone whose loyal to the company, like myself." ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? HULK HOGAN LOYAL TO WWE!? Yeah sure, he's loyal until they tell him "yeah, you know what? You're too old to be doing this." Then, he jumps ship to the 2nd biggest company, tries his hardest to belittle the company that MADE HIM, and in the end, doesn't give anything back to any company he's in, doesn't give anything back to the business, because Hogan just takes. As Jim Cornette would say "Fuck you Hulk Hogan!"
Forget the Misawa's, forget the Hashimoto's, the Muta's, the Kobashi's, Inoki, Kawada, Tsuruta, Choshu; hell, lets just totally ignore Thesz, Gotch, and Rikidozan too. Cause after all, they weren't good wrestler's right? they weren't big draws right? Of course not, because in the megalomaniac mind of a "true American great" it seems the "world" of wrestling ends at the American borders.
Fuck you Hogan, and you don't have shit on Flair as an entertainer, and especially not as a promo shooter.
slaps head* fucking American workers, the entire universe just revolves around them doesn't it? Hogan you pompous ass, you've wrestled in Japan, in NJPW to be more specific. Have you completely forgotten or are you just totally ignorant towards the fact that guys like Antonio Inoki and Shinya Hashimoto were drawing just as incredibly as you? But no of course when a fucking American cites the "greatest of all time" they just seem to forgot the men that really gave everything they had.
Hogan was great in his day. He cudnt wrestle worth a shit and thats the fuckin truth Lou Thez even noticed that but I use to like Hogan, it was his character that gained him popularity which is why I loved him but after going to WCW and everything between and after Hogan became about the money and his name. His name will get him anything and he could milk ya for what ever price he wants. The biggest star and the best to me anyway will always be Stone Cold Steve Austin. Hes always about the fans.
This interview was 9 years ago so alot has changed snice then but he has the nerve talking about the high road at his age.Wow hasn't he been the high road of wrestling for 2 decades pratically haha some just cant let it go.
Very good interview, I like Hogan a like him a bit better now. He's still makes terrible decisions and isn't doing very good with TNA, but I like how forward he is. I just don't get how he can see the value of a good wrestler and good entertainer, yet he's pushing Abyss so much and letting the X-Division go to waste.
Hogan will goes down as the biggest name in wrestling history - it dosent matter what mark says.
He's the biggest star in proffessional wrestling history - no one is second, no one is close. That man was the bloodline for 2 companys and maineventing for 20 years + .
@Moggesa and with all that he was spot hugging bastard, who never cared about pushing any stars around him. He was half the reason WCW died. Because he wasn't willing to push anyone from the younger talent. He is great and he is the most known name in wrestling, but at the same time he is also the biggest douche bag to ever step foot in a wrestling ring.
No they're not. Your just a typical mark on internet. And it's not up to one person if a company rise or fall - it's the staff, the writers, the wrestlers. So many people. You just made a stupid mark comment that's so far from the truth that it's ridicolous.
@Moggesa Listen here jack, TNA used to be entertaining and watchable. It wasn't necessarily ever better than the WWE, it simply offered an alternative product that was fun to watch in-between Monday NIght Raw and Smackdown. WWE generally had good flash, storylines, pizaz! TNA had good matches, that had less rules and allowed many indy stars to truly showcase their abilities without being clamped down by WWE creative. Hulk Hogan came into TNA and started taking the spotlight off the wrestling.
@Moggesa you know what, i grew up in the attitude era so the rock and stonecold to me were more exciting to watch, BUT i agree with you 100% because even though i grew up in the attitude era even someone like me can admit that as good as those guys may have been they are nothing to hulk hogan, no matter what anyone says hulk is truly the greatest, not only that but he has a great mind for the business.
@Moggesa Austin is the biggest selling WWE superstar of all time in terms of merchandise, and made McMahon more money than Hogan ever did. Hogan may have had a longer run, but his sellout days ended in '93, if even that
why does hulk hogan and austin and some complain about doing a job for others.. i never heard the rock say anything .. even now he said he'll love to come back and help the guys in anyway.. cuz he knows hes the great one . i just hate ppl that are all for them self and want to be the BEST there is sometimes u gotta think about others as well man jesus.
@xxcrazyboyxx100 HBK & HHH backstage bitches? are you kidding me?! These guys are the reason wrestling is what it is today. hogan, savage, hhh, hbk, flair, piper. if it wasn't for them you wouldnt have anything to complain about.

These guys are the reason wrestling is what it is today. hogan, savage, hhh, hbk, flair, piper. if it wasn't for them you wouldnt have anything to complain about. P.S. HBK had a serious injury to his knee that's why he needed time off. "lost his smile" was a gimmick you fucking mark
Hogan is right here.

Real talk.
lildwayne21 5 months ago
match with someone. Real recognizes real homie.
lildwayne21 5 months ago
one of the reasons why Flair has been able to have such an enduring impact on the wrestling ability. 50% of what Flair did in the ring was wrestling and the other 50% was showmanship to cover up the fact that you're not a great wrestler. Being a great entails more than having the same match over and over again. You have to know how to adapt to different wrestler's styles, strengths, weaknesses, and their way of working inside the ring as opposed to just going through the motions to have a good
lildwayne21 5 months ago
@gkgyver There's a big difference between being a great wrestler as opposed to being a showman and going through the motions in the ring. A lot of what Ric Flair lacked in scientific wrestling ability, he made up for with his larger than life personality, charisma and being a great showman and that's absolutely essential to being good at what you're do. When you're not a great wrestler you have to know how to make up for that lack of ability by being able to draw on ur showmanship and thats one
lildwayne21 5 months ago
@the44118 I don't consider Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan to be great wrestlers, because their matches are all repetitive. We all know that. They work formula's, go through the motions, and occasionally revamp their style, but for the most part they stick to the script when they're wrestling. However you can't deny that they are wrestling icons. What Hogan and Flair are great showmen. They're showmen, not necessarily great wrestlers. They rely heavily on showmanship and charisma to have good matches.
lildwayne21 5 months ago
Michael Landsberg is a fucking idiot. He should shut up and let Hogan talk instead of interrupting him all the time.
lildwayne21 5 months ago
The dude didn't even laugh once during this interview.
logidet 5 months ago
Ric Flair is NOT a great wrestler he is a famous wrestler that's STYLE over substance....if you've seen 1 Ric Flair match you've seen em' all!. The same thing can be said about Hogan but Hulk Hogan and Hollywood Hogan both changed wrestling in 2 different eras in 2 different companies. Ric Flair was the same old same old and to disrespect Hogan is to disrespect 25 years of wrestling even the attitude era wouldn't have come if Hogan and NWO angle didn't make WWF step up!

TheBronzeSkull 7 months ago
Hogans so full of shit with his "taking the high road" nonsense. WCW spent an entire year building up Sting/Hogan for Starcade and Hogan STILL wouldn't put Sting over clean. Hogan ruined so many wrestlers, angles and feuds because he simply thought Hulk should always be the top guy.

DeadSleepers 8 months ago
So he wanted to take the "high" road....not realizing how well he was loved for playing the heel in the NwO storyline. He's the only wrestler I've seen, that can go back and forth and make double the amount every time. He needs to drop the "hero" act, and keep on with the being the villain, being infamous is better then being famous, in his case, Hogan can do both better than anyone.

Nordfelt 8 months ago
Heck man, he just didnt get it.He was never signed to be a catalyst for the future stars to reach the heights, he was signed as a screw job so vince could put him in his place.Bit like Flair, Hogan was just there as a jobber, and there were other guys who had been there for the duration that were being used to "pass the torch". Hogan was off in WCW while those guys were there for years, so it's really arrogant to think he was coming back to pass a torch, he threw that torch away when he left WWF
Rodgerinho 9 months ago
BORING!!!
Gh0sTeR1969 9 months ago
@Gh0sTeR1969 Hulk is over Ric Flair because of Hulkamania and his Legendary wrestlemania moments and how he made wrestling very popular and what it is today. Flair didn't do that, couldn't do that. News flash to Hogan haters. Hulk is a businessman who understands the difference between midcard and top billing is the difference between the Motel 6 and the Hilton. $500.00/match < $10,000/match. Forget the Misawa's, forget the Hashimoto's, the Muta's, the Kobashi's, Inoki, Kawada, Tsuruta, Choshu; hell, lets just totally ignore Thesz, Gotch, and Rikidozan too. He is great and he is the most known name in wrestling, but at the same time he is also the biggest douche bag to ever step foot in a wrestling ring.

@Moggesa i hate to say it your right, if it wasnt it for hulk there wrestling will never be as star studded as it is.

@Moggesa And now he is killing TNA which has been keeping pro wrestling interesting these last few years.
The whole WWE Vs. TNA. VS. ROH dynamic is what's making it fun to be a wrestling fan, and Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are KILLING TNA.

@Moggesa i see people like the undertaker and hbk being bigger stars, just my opinion.

@01shan001 They had great runs to. But they didnt achive what Hogan did.
After 2005 and the Cena Era that Undertaker and HBK have wrestled, wrestling had died slowly.

@Moggesa very true...because who really are steve austin and rock? bunch of jobbers right?
tnafan 8 months ago
@Moggesa you know what, i grew up in the attitude era so the rock and stonecold to me were more exciting to watch, BUT i agree with you 100% because even though i grew up in the attitude era even someone like me can admit that as good as those guys may have been they are nothing to hulk hogan, no matter what anyone says hulk is truly the greatest, not only that but he has a great mind for the business.

@Moggesa I would disagree, only cuz Andre The Giant is just as famous!!! Neither is more famous than the other in my opinion!!!

@Moggesa Austin is the biggest selling WWE superstar of all time in terms of merchandise, and made McMahon more money than Hogan ever did. Hogan may have had a longer run, but his sellout days ended in '93, if even that

i think the greatest entertiner is the rock and they or anyone needs to accept that and like it.

why does hulk hogan and austin and some complain about doing a job for others.. i never heard the rock say anything .. even now he said he'll love to come back and help the guys in anyway.. cuz he knows hes the great one . i just hate ppl that are all for them self and want to be the BEST there is sometimes u gotta think about others as well man jesus.

@Mybella19
the rock was the most giving star ever .. just look at foley , lesnar , angle , y2j .. they all got their first world titles from the rock
he even jobbed to hurricane .. and goldberg in his first match
not to mention he never won a title at wrestlemania look at guys like hbk and hhh they all are backstage bitches
look at hbk he walked out on thu buisness because he (lost his smile) then he screws bret !! wtf? hogen is known for his politics but he's a legend

@xxcrazyboyxx100 HBK & HHH backstage bitches? are you kidding me?! These guys are the reason wrestling is what it is today. hogan, savage, hhh, hbk, flair, piper. if it wasn't for them you wouldnt have anything to complain about.

HBK had a serious injury to his knee that's why he needed time off. "lost his smile" was a gimmick you fucking mark

I agree with Hogan, he's old and needs to retire, but the whole BUILDUP, of a character, is the way to go.
The WWE should get Sting and take about 6 months and build him UP, for example.
