It is a beautiful video, rabbi:) For the Noachides seeking commnity--one way to help is to invite non-Noachides to Chanukah parties, ice cream parties for non-Jews, perhaps inviting family and friends to your house.
My caveat is to avoid messianic "synagogues." They're actually just churches. You could also ask a Reform congregation if you could attend services there. I think they would be quite receptive.
"It is our duty to force all mankind to accept the seven Noahide laws, and if not—they will be killed." (Rabbi Yitzhak Ginsburg, Ma'ariv, October 6, 2004)
If you think that's true you do not know any practicing Noahides personally! We are interested in the truth of the ONE TRUE
G-D and his Teaching!! If we turned the tables of your reasoning, it could be said that the Xian cult has one goal and one goal alone: to get gentiles to stop believing in the One True G-d and dump Torah!!! HaShem brought me through a long journey and a large part was through the church. I am thankful for those yrs & associations. He is calling us all. Isaiah 2:1-3
i dont know what to do. if i renounce and ignore jesus i feel like my etrnal soul will be cursed by gOd. you know...cuz thats what he said..i soo confused. if i dont hold on till the end while claiming jesus as my savior(whatwithththewholedyin'formething)but if i dont hold on to tHe savior jesus...wont i be one of the "decieved"...?just wonderin'...I
I believe that the Scripture's implicit message is that God wants us to repent, to choose life; to embrace kindness, and humility; This is the meaning of finding salvation, as modeled by Yeshuah. It is not to torn each other apart over theological viewpoints. All three monotheistic religions state this on one form or another: Judaism- Micah 6:8, Christianity- James 1:26-27, Islam- Sura 5:69. Like Jesus said: The tree is known by it's fruit- a good tree is the one who yields good fruit. Shalom
ones i asked a rabbi:why bnei noaj have it so easy/?means ,while we have 613 mitzvos ,they only have 7 ,& if they keep them ,they have merited the world to come as well...he answered me: believe me i don't know why..
be happy with your lot, bnei noaj people!
it's true that you have challenges ,but who doesn't?
Jesus is the light giver, he said i am the light. He said drink this my blood, eat this my flesh. He said I am the root and off spring of David the bright and morning Star.
Research morning star. He went against his own people. Build with ink and paper in a hellenistic ERA. Read Alex Jones on that topic. You Christians have all been deceived by a lie. My question is this. If Jesus is a liar, Lucifer, than why didn't the good prophet Mohamed know this. If one is a liar
If we all know this what will happen to all that other religion? hm all that war and death in the name of religion only to find out it was all a lie. Yes if i wrote a book and you need to know what I meant, would you ask another who read it, or would you ask me the author? People this is liberating and frees us all from the confusion and war and hatred false religion offers us. Yes Ask a Jew if you want to know who, what, when where and why in regards to the old testament. Why ask an other?
To be fair Rabbi as someone that grew up Orthodox I don't see most Rabbi's protecting the family unit and there is a reason why only 20% are observant to begin Most men in Orthodox circles are either A.VERY RICH or B. VERY NEBESH LIKE which appeals to the way the community makes women to be so holy and Jewish men to be horrible people. I certain agree to give credit where credit is due to women but men are never given credit for anything. As a result I have become estranged from Orthodoxy.
I dont know what to teach my kids. I feel like Im alone and I a desperate for a sense of community, something to raise my kids in that reflects what we believe as Noahides.
Will all due respect, if you long for a sense of belonging, and wish to be part of a community that that not only cares, but will also let you (at least implicitly) uphold your Noahide beliefs, you'll find none like your local Islamic community. I'm Jewish, and can attest to this from my own personal experienced. Shalom
@smugsmilz i can say the same thing about myself except im not a parent, but i live in a community of catholics and christians and i wear a kippah with the Shema on it, i am proud to be a noahide and one who fears hashem should fear no man. just be yourself and teach your children to do the same. teach them that doing the noahide code is the path to righteous. have no fear when Hashem is near ;)
Excellent! The 7 laws of Noach are the REAL laws that gentiles should follow and not to invent pagan dreams to themselves, pagan dreams which are in the opposite to the laws of G-d which were heard in the revelation in mt. Sinai in front of 3 million Jews and pagan dreams which nobody witnessed them. Noach and his family heard G-d speaking the 7 laws in the revelation of the rainbow after the big flood and the nowadays gentiles, as their descendants, should follow these 7 laws.
these so-called laws are, first of all, nowhere to be found in the bible. but guess what ? there is nothing wrong with lesbianism ! do you need more proof that these laws come from sick men and not from God ? Don't be fooled.
Maybe you meant Genesis. Anyway, I defy you to find me these laws in chapter 9 of Genesis. If you can, give me the verses refering to each of the 7 laws. You said they are there, so it should be easy, no ?
1. I don't know what "Bible" is. I know a book which is written by G-d in the HEBREW language, and not in other language in the name of Torah (from the word: teaching in Hebrew). Hebrew is the language that G-d created the world with. The laws are mentioned in all of chapter 9, can't you read? However, the Talmud has a slightly different version of that. But The Talmud didn't make it up. G-d gave 6 laws to Adam and Eve and these 6 laws are written in the first chapters of the book of Bereshit.
2. You can't understand them if you are reading it in a different language then Hebrew. The translation of the Torah to a different language then Hebrew is loosing from its meaning, and there are lots of examples for that. The Talmud is discussions about the Orally Torah which was given to Moses and he passed it to certain rabbis that we know their names.
You said that these laws were written in the Torah. My question is simple, once again: Please provide us with the verses refering to these 7 laws, so anyone can check and verify your claim. Maybe I can't read, but someone else should, right ?
The only thing I can do to help is post a great book list: Rejoice O Youth!, Me'Am Loez, Juggler and The King, Judaism on Trial, Immortality Resurrection and The Age of The Universe, Fossils & Faith, In The Beginning, Permission to Believe/Receive, Hasidic Tales of The Holocaust, Shmooze, Genesis and The Big Bang, The Science of G-d, Letters to a Buddhist Jew, Eye of a Needle, Nineteen Letters, Sabbath-Day of Eternity, Tefillin (Aryeh Kaplan, great author) Shema (Lamm), Michtav MeEliyahu
I'm sorry for the lack of guidance B'nei Noach are recieving. The reason is because Jews are first focussed on improving the Jewish people. Once the Jewish people have things correct, then Jews will be able to be more concerned about B'nei Noach. People can fulifill their misssion in life without becoming Jewish, however, at this point in time one could almost say that it might be easy just to try becoming Jewish. In that case, there might be even more neccesity for a new community.
Rabbi Richman has a good grasp of our problems, but we B'nei Noach are already familiar with these challenges. We are too few & far apart to have a physical community; a virtual community via the Internet won't be sufficient for very long.
What we are desperate for are solutions, and more guidance from the rabbis, especially in standardizing the myriad differing opinions about exactly what our obligations are under the shevah mitzvot. With all respect, if you have any solutions, we're all ears.

Datruesouljah, It's understandable to feel that way b/c that was what you were taught.
here's some info
The Torah says that G-d has No physical form - G-d is purely spiritual --
And so to worship a person or thing is idol worship. You can admire a spiritual leader as a person, but that's it.
the reason for the confusion is because the old testament (the torah) was mistranslated and misinterpreted.
peace
