  • You could at least give those fish some E if you are going to make them live in a rave fish tank.

  • @homerj7g... yes they are pinging 24/7 :P. But they are lacking a sound system to bop n pop to, aswell as the beer garden with some jagermeister fems. fzzz..

  • where did you buy the leds

  • @stgawne from a heap of eBay auctions. I bought 10mm ones in ten packs upto $3ea. cant remember the user names, soz man. the 3w and 10w leds were from randoms too. they only get auctioned as single leds.

  • What are the details of your dimmers?

  • @Nosaturatedfat that comes in part 4 too. I have been working alot and havent edited it yet, but will do some time soon.

    I am using 2. One is a 12v 9Amp RGB (3A/channel) and the other is a single channel 12V 8A.

  • This is really cool ! But doesn't the heatsinks soften the perspex?

  • @Nosaturatedfat . They do get fairly hot over the aquarium standard 10hr period, but not enough to soften the perspex disctructively. I havent tried leaving them on high for a few days, wouldnt want to. It depends how the box is mounted in hood.

Because the boxes are open back, the fans get enough fresh air across the heatsink. Also in part 3, you can see how they are raised off the perspex to allow wires through (using some washers)... this also prevents warping perspex. Wil explain in part4.
