  • Most of her songs with Ike seemed biographical to me. Oddest thing all those songs when it sounded like Tina giving Ike her two cents about the way he treated her was written by Ike so it was like he used their painful relationship as the catalyst for their own recordings. It's kinda twisted. But Tina did deliver some of her greatest performances.

  • Ive listen to mostly all of tina songs and found this one i think to be one of the best ones she put out. This song has put me in tears just listening to it. I felt all of her hurt and pain that ike had put her through. This is one song she sing the hell out of trying to get throuh ike thick skull...'i sweat my azz of for you and do what ever you want me to do, now you don't want what you got? What more do you want? Tina you did the right thing by leaving his no good azz.

  • tina had such a pretty voice and she has fans that luv her dear. YOU GO GIRL

  • ALL TIME TINA TURNER IS underrated IN USA .CUASE SHE DONT LIVE IN USA

IF TINA TURNER LIVE IN USA .SHE WILL OVERRATED SURE

  • Thanks I haven't heard this song in 40 years.

  • I tried and I tried... Yes I have been weak and made more than my share of mistakes. Giving up was never going to be one of them. However love is the greatest of all and now my love... You got what you wanted and I hope you're happy with what you've got... My love for you knows what you want and its not me... Its you.

    Peace...

  • Fuck you James Brown.

    My name is Tina.

    Good Lawd!

  • Straight to the point!! No high school bull shit!!

  • I love this song!!!!!!

  • I have to think Tina really genuinely felt this when she sang it. It says so much. To a lot of us actually.

  • great one...!!!

  • This older stuff is way better than much of what came afterwards. She is a Queen, and the drumming on this song is pure whack.

  • beautiful, sexy thing.

  • outstanding, rare, cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song so much.

  • Damn Tina, You're voice is bad as hell!

  • I saw the hollywood palace snippet and was MESMERIZED. Love it! Love it! Love it!

  • I've heard a snip of this song and was tearing my hair out to find the whole track after that. I finally found it and I have to say this is my favorite Ike & Tina song.

  • love tina to the day i die

  • tina knows how to show out! u go gurl

  • please post in hollywood palace!

  • I hate to say it but Ike sho was fine

  • yeah Ike was EXTREMELY attractive back in the day

  • This song is a powerful piece. only a dymamic voice like Tina's could have done such a job. And to add, she put her soul into it. Its Perfect. Perfect instrumental, backup vocals. Everything. Why this wasn't a number one song?. I have no idea.

  • Tina has been always underrated in the USA.

  • I ♥ this so much!!! Her voice is perfect for this song :)

I guess this is as close to Rock as Ike would allow her at that time =/

TINA TURNER QUEEN OF ROCK!!! ^_^

  • Heck yes, its music to my ears..I love it when she sings in this range, just wish she did more like them. Her range was amazing.

  • She was, still, and will forever be a Soul Sista! And, she still got it, even at her age of 69! I guess you can't take that kind of talent away!

  • When she sang this song, her voice was so sexy and souful, and strong. And I luv that ungue raspe in her voice as well.

  • Tina Turner is the only woman in the world who can get by singing bass like a man and still make it sound feminine! I love her! Excellant Vocalist

  • I know....

in one of her interviews she said that se wanted to sound like Ray Charles...and she also stated that she didn't care to sound so feminine.

But, I completly agree with you...she doesn't have a limited voice at all!

  • Phyllis Hyman could get away with singing like a man, but not quite like Tina.

  • Let's not forget about Etta James!

  • How can we forget Jamesetta Hawkins...aka Etta James.

  • @arkansoul Phyllis Hyman was an amazing vocalist and so is Tina Turner. Phyllis' voice was deep, yet smooth and sophisticated. Tina Turner's voice is deep, raspy, and wild. Both were genius in their prime.

  • @omeirdeleon Imagine a duo with Tina and Phyllis...

  • I'm look'n at them pics, and think'n, she must of had everybody chas'n her!!!

  • I completly agree with some of these comments...It's my Tina favorite...and I really luv the vocals, and the effort u hear her put out!!! It's exciting!!!! luv, with a passion!!♥

  • I can't see how ppl can say that they think Tina can't sing....cuz tt (tina turner) can sing!!

  • She sanged her heart out on this song.

  • My new Tina favorite!

  • Yeah...I can so identify with the lyrics...Love the vocals. Tina is truly the Queen!

  • I love this song.. it's one of the best ever. She sound re-release this on a new album. It's amazing.

  • Sorry for the bad grammer- She should release this on a new album.... updated version

  • this is her real tone of singing...shes a 2nd alto...but can sing n ne key...u goota love her...feel n love wit the song...can relate 2lyrics

  • oh BABY1LUV you reminded me of something i remember watching THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW WHERE CHER AND TINA WAS ON, CHER SAID THE FIRST TIME SHE SAW TINA SHE WAS PRETTY SOMETHING LIKE THAT... THEN SAID "TINA SAID 'I CAN SING THAT KEY THAT KEY THAT KEY'" (DIFFERENT KEYS) THEN CHER SAID "I CAN ONLY SING THAT KEY" THEN TINA, OPRAH, CHER CRACKED UP. BUT I LOVE TINA TURNER SOOOOOO MUUUUCH!

  • that part was so funny 2me 2 cuz cher knows her singin abilities only go so far!! and tina is absolutily dynamic she has so much soul she can do watev she wnts...SHE MAKES U LOVE HER EVEN IF U DNT WNT2...TINA TINA TINA! LOL

  • is so funny that here career began in 1960, the same year that Daisaku Ikeda came to America, Tina didnt start chanting unitl 1974, i find that an interesting coincidence....

  • yeaaah greetings from a soka gakkai member from spain :)

  • hola, thank you....

  • there are so many songs i keep finding, like why didnt she release Hot LEgs as a single for herself.....she is truly an amazing woman,...i began chanting when she made her comeback....nam myoho renge kyo, she is very inspiring

  • the more i keep finding things THE QUEEN has recorded on u tube the more i am astonished at the music she did i missed out on ...thank yuo..nam myoho renge kyo

  • Thanks so much for posting this! This is my all-time favourite Ike and Tina song and I think probably Tina's best ever vocal performance -- the tension and drama in this song!

  • This song is AMAZING!!!! How can one person infect a song with so much soul? She's really the Queen.

  • I can so identify with the words of this song. I just wish I had her voice. She's powerful.

  • I love this song.

  • Thank you so much littleprincey!

Ike and Tina music still sound great today.Tina has a talent its her timeless voice.

  • Tina rocks

  • She is beautiful!

  • tina voice man i love that lady vocals

  • One of Ike & Tina's best! I've always thought that the recordings they released on Pompeii were their best work!

  • Agree! Too Hot To Hold, Sho Ain't Me, Betcha Can't Kiss Me...lots of hot soul.

  • Yes, all of those you named are great! My other Pompeii favs include 'So Fine', 'I Betta Get Ta Steppin', 'Cussin, Cryin & Carryin On', 'So Blue' and that raunchy take on 'Shake A Tail Feather'. And let's not even get into Ike's solo album on Pompeii with those wonderfully funky instrumentals. I haven't heard one damned tune on that label that I don't like. Soul masterpieces that deserved more commercial success! The Minit recordings (though not as soulful) are excellent as well.

  • Yeah, I agree. I need to check out the label. All I know is the Ike & Tina stuff, and it's my favorite era for them. Critically and commercially it was a low point - but I except for the Blue Thumb blues recordings I think it represents the best Ike & Tina chitin' circuit soul and is their best. It's raw, soulful and timeless. I also love "Funky Mule", "Thinkin Black" and all the Ike instrumentals from this period. Deeeeeep dish soul.

  • i love this music!!!
