I love the concept and where you were taking this song. I thought the interpretation was beautiful. But, there is to much pedal and some parts are unnecessary like making some segments go way to fast and going slow again. Just keep it at the same pace, you can change rhythm, but don't change it dramatically. I think if you played around with it some more it could turn into something wonderful. Keep at it, a beautiful arrangement nonetheless.

You can't really be telling him what is better, he wanted it to sound the way it did that's why he arranged it this way, so you really shouldn't be "giving him advice" on how he "should" have done it.

Iagree that this arrangement wasn't great. a little over the top and the feel was all over the place. but i think that you should be more constructive with criticism. he's a good pianist. less pedal and a more consistent tempo would improve this in opinion.

You're right tommyk77. I argree. At parts of the song, I didn't think this was the song though. When there was a rest, he put in notes. The rests were put there for a reason. The make the notes before echo.

I would say:

-too much pedal

-too much extra~ness.

That's my opinion. And the intro/ beginning I guess... Wasn't the best thing in the world.  =|
