I never understood the Dogs... they LOOK like dogs, and the manual says they're called "Sniffer Dogs", yet they sound like Cougars/Jaguars when they die... which is a Cat... so yeah. :P

This whole sucked. Then again, this is not a real Silent Hill game. Konami knew that it sucked on its own merits and gave it the Silent Hill name merely to cash in. I'm still a die hard Silent Hill fan but I only played this game for 30 minutes and let my wife play it from then on. Haven't seen all the game or all the endings and simply will never care.

The game was pretty good. Not as a Silent Hill game, but as a game on it's own. It has the depth and symbolism and subtle disturbances that SH 1-3 had, but in a different way. I think you should give the game another chance, with an unbiased point of view.

The game's kind of funny in a way because the dogs don't always seem to attack you right away until you pose a threat or actually begin invading their personal space (dogs have walked up to me without bothering me) and the twin-headed victims only point at you until you get too close.

I see the game as having a huge yet unused potential. The whole idea is very interesting. But when you just can't feel the main character, what's the point? Henry is like a plank, especially after you play SH3 with the uber charismatic Heather leading the run. =)

The interface in the PC version of Silent Hill 4 is not exactly what I'd call user-friendly, anyway.
