@cathkinghost , Hi thanks for the comment, yes there used to be a number of platforms, a turntable and water tower, all gone now. We are currently working with network rail, FGW and County to re-instate another line so that it is possible to run two trains at once. One Day.
Have you looked at my Newquay Railway Station film that gives our concept for the future. Geoff
@ArabFlintstone Hi the soundtrack was recorded at Buckfast Abbey when I was filming Neil H there. You can see him playing it on my film Neil H at Buckfast Abbey. hope this answers you question Geoff
Always loved travelling on this line ever since I was a kid, but 20 years ago the connections from Falmouth were rubbish, even in the summer. Highlights of the journey were rattling up through Luxuyan Valley under the Treffry viaduct then across Goss Moor over the A30 (seeing the traffic jam) and coasting down into Newquay. Glad they've put a few extra trains on now.
Hi thats a long time ago this footage was taken in 1991 and yes the stop before Newquay is Quintrell Downs. I have put another film on youtube intitled catch the train taken last year have a look on my site GKMB1948 regards Geoff
You obviously haven't been down here in the last ten years then! Newquay has an excellent service now along with all the other lines in Cornwall, I travel on them every day!

I had a look at the 'Try the Train' video.
Excellent!
I keep coming back to this video, though.....supose it is just fond memories of great childhood holidays.
If there is one county I'd love to live in it would be Cornwall.

That was tha last time I went down there as a kid.
