Trapper John did not die. In fact, there was an entire series called Trapper John, MD where Pernell Roberts took over the roll of an older Trapper running the surgery unit at a San Francisco hospital.

sorry but if you think trapper died then you dont know anything about mash at all. Trapper John was shipped home at the last minute while Hawkeye was on R&R. Shortly after Henry Blake passed. Then came in Sherman Potter and BJ. im 26 and i just love this show cant get enough.

For one, Colonel Potter was not even in season 3, Harry Morgan didn't join the cast until season 4. And two...Trapper John never died, he got discharged.

@aKissOfCrimson Im going to have to disagree with you man. Harry Morgan guest starred in mash earlier as General Hamilton Steele. The general that flipped at dawn. Is the name of the episode. But harry morgan came back as Sherman Potter in season four.

@aKissOfCrimson yup i never denied that. though they kept on screwing up the story line hawkeye talked about his sister in the earlier seasons we never heard about her again. and his mother which was changed to his father was a widower and the years were jostled around. BUT it doesnt matter its a great show that has stood the test of time for over 30 years and is my favorite show. Though my ex hated it and wanted me to pitch it because it was too old to watch lol

Yepp, at the air port is where Hawk Eye and Radar missed Trapper, Then they came across J.B.Honeycutt , This is also where Radar became a Capt. Corp. this is where they all went into the officer club and that Mager didn't like the new rank.

I know, geez did these two know anything about the show? I have EVERY episode on dvd and Trapper did NOT die. He got his orders to go home. Watch the first episode of season 4 if you doubt this. It's called "Welcome to Korea" Also, the previous poster is correct. Klinger ate the jeep when Col. Potter was in charge after Col.Blake was killed. Blake was killed at the END of season 3 and Potter didn't start until season 4!!!

Wow that was a trip down memory lane... No Trapper didn't die, he set up his own practice when he return back to the States. I was very emotional and still get goosebumps when I see "Abyssinia, Henry" and "Goodbye,Farewell and Amen" episodes.... Yes I am true M*A*S*H fan ;-)

Lt Col Henry Blake's plane was shot over the sea of Japan... there were no survivors... Look up Abyssinia, Henry in here to see the episode... It was so touching that no one knew about this part of the script except for Gary Burghoff (Radar) Emotional stuff.

Not sure which episode Klinger ate the jeep in, but it wasn't season 3. I know because Col. Potter was the CO in that ep and he didn't arrive till season 4.  All in all, nice video!
