  • I remember this because he said " The Lowlands"... in slow motion.. .ill never forget that... THE LLLLOWWW LANDS!!

  • The funniest part of the cartoon (without being too disturbing) was 1:35 to 2:25. That part's always made me laugh!

  • the good thing about these kinds of cartoons... is that, when you think of it, there's no lesson to be learned at the end of the story (is it learnt or learned? I'm not an english native speaker)

  • now even bugs bunny they even cancelled it!! c'mon CN!!! bring back the glory days of cartoons teach these kids how cartoons really look like

  • Cartoon Network should pick this show

  • Oh lawd, that worm's burnt face scarred me when I was a kid. That ending is seriously depressing. How was this a kid's show?

  • Lmao! Love it!

  • 2:29 RAPE FACE ACTIVATED

  • By far one of the BEST "What a Cartoon!" shorts. Wonderfully detailed and expressive chracter designs, movements, and facial expressions, hilarious dialog and actions, memorable voice performances. This is a REAL cartoon! Easy to see it was directed by Eddie Fitzgerald (who worked on one of the best animated TV shows ever, "The Ren & Stimpy Show"), since it has a lot of that brilliantly twisted Ren & Stimpy charm.

  • The worm reminds me of The red guy, while the human is clearly cow and chicken's father.

  • I don't remember this one, but watching it now I find it hilarious.....the creepy cartoons have always been the best

  • I think this was one of the last original World Premiere Toons, and I'm sure it aied in late 1997. I remember in early 97, that Flinstones "Dino" cartoon was the last one in that run, and then around Fall 1997, this one aired, and I'm pretty sure it was the last one ever. I don't remember another one of these World Premiere Toons after 1997.

  • Please what's the song at 2:30 called

  • @guillomagico Funeral March of a Marionette - Charles Gounod

  • motherfucking spumco

  • MAI FEIZZZZ

  • Love thiz when I wus a kid specially when he got step on lol lmao

  • 15 persons have their souls on fire.

  • Ah, so that's what traumatised me in my childhoos. Being unable to understand English only made it worse. I'm glad I know it know.

  • ok, srsly, what's that music at 4:48??!?

  • Comment removed

  • @XG2 "Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor" by Aleksandr Borodin (IMDB has all the songs for this cartoon)

  • god i love youtube...

  • Why is this listed as Spumco / creator of Ren and Stimpy / John K. Apart from some music also used in Ren and Stimpy this had nothing to do with that guy or his company........ This was just Ren insipid cartoon, if not full on rip off like that cow and chicken show.

  • I still remembering when I was little...and getting scared of this cartoon.....

omg...so freaggin luv this >:D hurrr

  • What is it with worms and Night on Bald Mountain?

  • I really like the music at 4:48! anyone know how its called?

  • @p1x3lman Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor- Alexander Borodin C:

  • @solumeasd God bless you!

  • omg i remember this :D

  • I fucking love this so much. I'm lucky to have grown up with such amazing 'toons.

  • this cartoon is sick and crazy, but i love it

  • Well, now I remember why my generation is so disturbed.

  • Comment removed

  • Why!! Why don't show this today!!!

  • this is totaly ripping off ren and stimpy

  • @swayone69 It's made by the same people.

  • Holy shit i can't believe it's been 15 years.

  • When I was a kid I've nearly crapped my pants after watching this one. Today, 15 years later, it still creeps me out...

  • 1:04 gay face or the i came face :3

  • The show creators = worm

    Cartoon Network = the human

point = CN has no appreciation for high quality animation. Just look at the shit they're playing today. In fact, they've run out of cartoons. Now it's reality shows like hole in wall and other abnormal shows.

  • @TheOffensiveuser I know. It's sad. However, you can't say anything bad about The Amazing World Of Gumball. Now that's a great show. It's probably the best CN show on there now since Flapjack and Chowder have been cancelled.

  • @KrazyKartoonKid Actually, Chowder isn't cancelled, it just ended with the episode where he grows up. But, I do have to say there still are some good cartoons playing on Cartoon Network. Great examples would be Regular Show or The Amazing World of Gumball.

  • @KrazyKartoonKid now that you say so... why cartoons on CN "get cancelled" why don't they finish or something? something against the creators? or is it something on the creators?

  • @KrazyKartoonKid thats because now, the cartoons, well; most of the cartoons have lost its pure scence: hits, kicks, punchs, smashes, strikes, mid-strong language and other mid-violence apropiated for childrens. one example of greates cartoons: Ren & Stimpy. high-violence and/or language: Dragon ball Z. Just for protect children from violence and other thinks, CN is now as is it; a bullshit.

  • @KrazyKartoonKid i agree, the amazing world of gumball, adventure time and chowder were good, but i didnt like flapjack so much. sorry, beside that almost every cartoon today is crap.

  • @TheOffensiveuser I couldnt agree more! amazing world of gumball is shit, and so are many of their other shows.

  • @th3azscorpio fair enough. just took a peek at that show, it's pretty cinematic in quality, well made. :)

  • @TheOffensiveuser you liked it?

  • @TheOffensiveuser

But the human doesn't even notice the Worm. He bears him no ill will towards the worm, he just doesn' see him.

Does that mean Cartoon Network is unaware of its damages?

  • @th3azscorpio ya it was pretty good :)

  • I remember this cartoon with the "scary face"! Why does Cartoon Network have all that live action crap today? It's called "CARTOON" Network for God's sake!

  • thumbs up for hairy armpits @ 3:50

  • 2:30 THATS IT IS SMILE.JPG!!!

  • this. is. brilliant.

  • You FILTHY CHILDREN!!!!

  • Only reason I watched this when I was younger was for 1:33-2:23

  • this reminds me of...REN AND STIMPY!!! <3

  • woow mi infanciaaa!!!!♥

  • Disturbing

  • PEACE MAN :D

  • imagine that cartoon was banned for religion?

  • XD i remember watching this at my living room eating a ceral bowl and night xD

  • The beautiful combination of Eddie Fitzgerald's drawings and Bob Jaques & Kelly Armstrong's animation makes a great cartoon!!! :)

  • 6:22 EPIC

  • NO GO AWAY I REMEMBER THIS MY NIGHTMARES NONONO IT IS ALWAYS THERE OH NO NO PLEASE OH NO I REMEMBER THIS NOOOOOOOOO

  • I was very little when I first saw this cartoon, and for some reason I remembered it being about Johnny wanting to commit suicide rather than get revenge on the human. I have no idea why I remembered it like that, but the thought of a cartoon character going crazy and wanting to kill himself really scared me as a kid. Watching this as an adult, I find it hilarious.

  • anyone else see an r. crumb influence in this?

  • haha Amazing

  • Low lands!

  • masterpiece!

  • I still have memories of this particular one, I can't believe that those kind of cartoons can have such an impact on my childhood's memory. BUT - now i can say that those kind of gross and wacky cartoons are the best like Ren And Stimpy.

  • 3:27 OH SWEET MOTHER OF BOTTLE CAPS!! I'M COMING HOME!!

  • wormPad

  • THAT. FUCKING. FACE. AT. 4:47

I couldn't watch this cartoon as a kid all because of that fucking face.

  • what the hell it is

  • I think this cartoon is awesome XD

  • NIGHTMARE FUEL

  • MY SOUL IS ON FIRE

  • It's like American Psycho with worms.

  • 12 people have wrath in their hearts.

  • FUCKED UP LOL

  • FUCKED UPLOL

  • This cartoon is amazing! Seems like Ren & Stimpy.!

  • I show this to my brothers and they were cracking up at the part where the worm kept getting squished.

  • I remember seeing this cartoon. Something about it made me want to watch it 50 times in a row.

  • Somebody was heavily inspired by John K's style it seems. I love it!

  • WTF 6:15 very disturbed XD

  • So I had a wife, beautiful, like you, who tells me I worry too much. Who tells me I ought to smile more. Who gambles and gets in deep with the sharks...

  • its like pink Floyd made a cartoon

  • Wait, this came on Boomerang? What A Cartoon came on Boomerang? That's awesome! When?

Also, you can't say God in kid's shows anymore...

  • worms are invertabrates. so why does he have a spine? 0:42

  • @cliffgoodbye

why does he have a nose? why is he talking? it's a cartoon man, there is no "why" so just enjoy it.

  • @cliffgoodbye

    maybe bacause he's a cartoon?

  • The beginning part of the bgm reminded me out of Earthworm Jim XD

  • @GalaxiaShadow Well, it is actually the same song. They're both from the Night On Bald Mountain sequence from Fantasia. And they are both about worms :P

  • @GalaxiaShadow Holy shit, that's right! It's the "What the Heck" stage music! LOL

  • If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever.

  • ANd this is the same man that wrote for Animaniacs, and was the inspiration for Pinky from Pinky and the Brain..... NO COMMENT

  • alguien q suba la version en español porfaaa

  • classic

  • This has to known as one of the most disturbing kids cartoons ever aired.

  • What a great piece of forgotten animation. I wish Cartoon Network would do more stuff like this and take that garbage live action programming off of their network....

  • This is scary and great

  • I never understood this toon when I was a kid, but seeing it now as an adult, I can see the genius of it. xD

Never liked the idea of adult themes in kids' cartoons, but none the less this is an awesome short.

Sally is so cute... For a worm. x.x

  • This cartoon fucked me up as a kid

  • LLLLOOOOOWWWWWLLLLAAAAANNNNDSSSSS

  • shit is dark lol! :D

  • This is creepy as hell. I still love it, though :)

  • pause at 1:30, this guy is a jew :O

  • I dont even remember this one! O_O

  • This is an "interesting" cartoon - this Worm has major ISSUES.

  • Eddie Fitzgerald is good friends with John K. of Ren and Stimpy fame. They worked together on Beany and Cecil, Mighty Mouse the New Adventures, and Ren and Stimpy. Eddie was also a big part of Tiny Toons and Animaniacs. He is an animation hero.

  • I'm going to say this every time I watch this video. Best 7 minutes of animation Cartoon Network ever broadcast.

  • This shit is fuckin insane! lol

  • 4:44 SCARY O.o

  • i want it in latin spanish please

  • @dirtyfabian Me too!!!!!!!!!! >w<

  • god how long has it been? i remember that in my childhood

  • damn just like an alternative ren and stimpy, but i like! very reminiscent of john k.

  • did you notice that before he ask what are you looking at and calls us filthy children his back turned to us looks like a finger touching a penis

  • Scary stuff as a kid man.

  • Anyone gets memories from Earthworm Jim?

LVL 2, what the heck is the same music as in the intro :3

  • Phhhpppt!

  • I Remembered This Cartoon Since I Was 2 or 3 Of My Childhood.

    Brings Me Back Good Memories.

  • Amazing. This cartoon is weird as hell. Iscredibly awersome stuff! Fuck me, I love it.

  • I think I saw this like 5 times a week back when Cartoon Network was a free channel. Good stuff :)

  • omg i love thiz az a kid!!!!! he got stop tha shit out of lol

  • wat

  • Really not kids stuff... Nostalgiaterror.

  • Didn't he think about I dunno....MOVING? Before he got ran over?

  • @supermax110 yes.... let's talk reason to a cartoon.....

  • @johnnykaka66 What do you mean :P

I know the comment I made, but that was some time ago.

  • This freaked me out a bit as a kid, but as the years go by this cartoon matures like wine and I'm finally able relish the unique taste and meaning of life from it. Although it's meant to be funny I think it's more of a deep thought provoking satire on how the world works :(

  • this is why you don't let Charles Manson make a cartoon

  • this cartoons still in sweden like 6 in the morning

  • woah!

  • It looks like a huge group of college students made this with simple computer animation.

  • @MamaLuigiMaster you know nothing......

  • Kinda creepy, but it made me laugh XD

  • so not funny...

  • I've never seen a cartoon try so hard to be Ren & Stimpy.

  • @onehundreddollars this was made by the same guys who made that show. so, you SHOULD have said: I've never seen a cartoon try so hard to be made by the exact same person as who made Ren & Stimpy, because it was made by the same person.

  • It was directed by one of the people who worked on Ren & Stimpy, which isn't the same thing. John Kricfalusi had nothing to do with this. Blatantly aping another director's style instead of using the time spent working under them to help develop your own is pretty lame.

  • 1:50 - 2:26 Funniest scene ever!!! I remember this short!

  • I love Eddie Fitzgerald's style!

  • LOOOOOWLAAAAANDS needs to become a meme.

I remember watching this when I was about 6 years old. I was never the same...but in a good way. :)

  • I miss this style of animation. It's so original...nothing now compares to these designs

  • I once taped this cartoon, took three grams of dextromethorphan, and watched it over and over again for 5 1/2 hours. I'm glad it's up on YouTube for everyone to see now.

  • FInally, after all these years of waiting, it returnz xD

    Love it!

    LOWLANDZ xD

  • thanks you so much for posting this i have been looking for it for too long. Thanks, it brings back memories

  • I noted a special thanks to John Kricfalusi credit at the end of the end credits there. Also, the little "wew!" sound at 2:54 cracks me up every time for some reason.

  • The director eddie fitzgerald worked on ren and stimpy so it would be natural that it has a simelar style.

  • where can i look this in spanish.?

  • who plays the song? is exellent!

  • which one do you wanna know?

  • the opening one.. is that any band?

  • i found it actually, I dont know who is the artist I just typed:What A Cartoon theme/intro and i was able to DL it.Hope it will work for you too ^^

  • thxxx :)

  • Very John K like.

  • 2:28 and just like that, Johnny was trapped in a "Ren Moment". Now he can

    a) just let it go

    or

    b) lose is damn mind like Ren Hoek
