Thumbs up if you were PSYCHED to use that weapon after seeing it turn into a mini-turret, a Bazooka, a Bladed Boomerang Disc thing, and then that freaking Missle launching Death-o-Sphere

@Kairadragon I didn't say that Dagon said it... that line was from Dante, shortly before he first used the Pandora on that horde of demon frogs that appeared out of nowhere.

vergil might have had a son and that could be nero but in the devil may cry 4 book its says Nero was droped of at an orphan home and the kyrie and credo got him but no one knows if he is a son of sparda or of dante or Vergil. i think that nero is a son of Vergil because he say blast and be gone when he fights just like vergil in devil may cry 3

maybe because you didn't upgraded pandora box yet ... to use the laser gun you've got to upgrade completely pandora

There are tons of hints in the game that Nero is Vergil's son. And yes, also as said - You don't know what Vergil was doing before DMC3, Vergil and Dante weren't always opponents - Vergil wasn't always evil. How did Vergil start to hate humans? That hasn't been showed yet. You should stop being an ignorant person.

No, there aren't. Vergil hates humans because he embraces his demon side. Vergil was never evil, he just worked towards his own goals to carry on the legacy of Sparda. In DMC3, it is said that they have always fought from some sort of sibling rivalry. You just want it to be true; if it is, then fine. It won't fit his character, but until I can see the next game and the relationship, I will keep an open mind. You flocking to the popular opinion is what's ignorant.

But it isn't told what he did before dmc3! Before he started to carry on the legacy of sparda, before he became oponents with Dante. He can summon blades, has blue devil trigger, dante gave him yamato - it stays in the family! But if he isn't Vergil's son, then who's is he? Sparda's? Sparda secretly rose from the dead and made another kid? Secret 3rd twinbrother who was kept in some time-stop machine for some years and then released?

Nero can use Vergil's abilities because he wields Yamato. Demon abilities are reliant on the weapons they use. Notice how Nero never transforms, but he summons an Avatar. It looks like Vergil because it is influenced by Yamato. Nero is a Son of Sparda, Vergil never fathered children. I have yet to see a Son of Dante plot, seeing as he has a better chance of fathering children. Nero is a mystery, and I think that not even the Dev Team know who he is. He's an enigma they have to find a use for.

our enigma theory is a nice touch.His arm is what intrigues me anyone else notice it doesn't change util after he gets stabbed by dantes sword.

@ryneofthesevenseas You need the demonic power first before you can use those abilities though, and that comes from his arm, which was damaged by a fragment of Vergil's power, influencing all his other powers and ability to use Yamato.

But you're right, he's not in any way related by blood to the Sparda clan, albiet his "infected" arm contains Nelo Angelo's spirit.

People probably thought he was because Sanctus said he had the "Blood of Sparda", but failed to realise it's a metaphor.
