Rastenburg was well protected and well out of the range of Allied bombers - unlike Berlin. Rape was encouraged in the Red Army as a matter of policy. It was meant as a means of demoralizing the enemy, in part b/c of the racist attitudes of the Nazis.

Germans made a science out of murder. They found the most efficient ways to kill as many people as possible in the least amount of time. And they used rape, torture, murder and maiming in public as a way to put fear into local people. Stallin was no saint but he never came close to what the Nazi did.

But you know what's interesting? Almost all women mention that they were raped by members of the Red Army. I agree that the Germans committed much more horrific crimes in the East, but I don't know if the Allies would have done the same in their place, because there things like human rights already existed. He urged people to fight to the last but took the softest option available when it came to him, he never once visited a bombed city and spent his time as far away from the bombing as possible, he refused to visit the front once things got dangerous, in the USSR in 1943 on a visit he cleared off double quick when Soviet tanks were reported 30km away. Not exactly the behaviour of a hero.

I am the furthest thing from a fan of Hitler, it is necessary to be accurate in your claims. As for Stalin, I believe he was in combat in the Revolutionary era, but I am vague on his early career. He designed it that way. He wanted to have a stealth career so his enemies in the party would underestimate him.

As that officer was Jewish I have often wondered what happened to him. I have posted an article on my facebook page which suggests that Hitler was anything but the brave person portrayed. In any case he behaved in a very cowardly way in WW2 - compare him to Churchill.
Stalin's past is possibly falsified but I do not believe he was in combat.

(Ah, if only the Western powers had taken this opertunity to back up their allies at this moment) Some generals, like Jackson, believe in leading from the front. Jackson paid for that policy. Rastenburg was well protected and well out of the range of Allied bombers - unlike Berlin. Once whilst visiting the Ukraine, Soviet tanks came to within 30km and he was out like the proverbial rat out of the aqueduct. Suicide was the easiest option available!

As for Hitler, new research published (I think in the Daily Mail) showed that he probably spent much of his time at HQ away from the fighting. Whatever, he did not get beyond corporal which suggests he may not have been as heroic as you would like to believe. Furthermore he deliberately avoided military service in the Austrian army - an act of cowardice like his cowardly behaviour in WW2.

German citizens did not get this choice when he was leading their country (but not his). A German could be judicially murdered for attempting to avoid military service during WW2. Stalin was a child at heart with no honor or dignity. He was a mass-murderer. He deserved nothing but wretched diseases and horrible health. He should have been strung up for the masses that were killed because of his concealed madness. All of this was also allowed by a bunch of mindless barbarians who would never dare question this piece of shit.

How can you just say it was "propaganda"? You're sitting here seeing what Stalin and Russia did, and you say it was just propaganda that turned Americans against Russians? No, it was Russia's ACTIONS that turned Americans against them. We helped liberate Western Europe from one scum bag (Hitler) and we weren't about to let the other scumbags (Stalin and all who succeeded him) do to Western Europe what they did to the east.
