  • Wow this would have been a million times better than the actual memorial that we got. 2 giant square waterfalls just doesn't do it for me. I would have love to seen the crystal sculptures light up every night on 9/11 and the trees surrounding the memorial would have been perfect. Also, they should have put speakers in the grass area and play this song down at the memorial every night. This video is perfect, to bad it didn't become a reality. =(

  • I wish your idea won.

    I love it.

Well, I guess this is also an expression which lives on in your heart.

    thank you for sharing it.

    God bless.

  • 0:21 Should be a comma after "dedication". I like what was finally chosen.

  • New york policemen and firefighters are not invited to the 10th anniversary of 9/11 at ground zero. Mayor claims there isn't enough room for them.

They weren't invited on that day in 2001 either. They just showed up and did their job!! And 343 firefighters died at that one shout. Please re-post if you think they belong there more than the politicians

  • hermoso God bless

  • how could anyone dislike this? i think it's a beautiful idea

  • ...It's a stargate...

    ...9/11 was a ritual...

    ...here is the evidence:

    ...The 9/11 Stargate

...The Freedom Tower and the Octagaonal Stargate

    ...The Cuboid Stargate

...The London Eye and the 911 Stargate

...the world is in the grips of some weird global cult and we are all at their mercy...

    ...research and expose these degnerates!

  • I love this design, is elegant, powerful and inspiring

  • very nice

  • Strength and Honor

    Invictus NY

  • good job

  • Thanks. Well, because it will be rebuilt and the others destroyed on 9/11 will be remade and it will be like they were always there to begin with and no one will notice the towers were destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001. Did you say to put the Memorial around the rebuilt towers if that is what you said I agree for sure!!!!! Ya, good luck to Leonardo!
  • Well, it don't really matter where it's built as long as there is one! But, I believe Leonardo DiCaprio will still be going to the meeting and I also do respect that it is private. But, If they rebuilt it it won't be a memory of those that have died, have you thought of that : ( I hope it is built! But, some people have their own opinion. I think it would look Great with the freedom tower that is my Opinion. I will check you 2 videos!
  • It would be Cool To See A World Trade Center Memorial and The Freedom : )

Tower Together! I Hope that Leonardo

can work that out he might it would be

a Very Successful Event for him Only!

They might keep the Rubble on 9/11!

  • The reason his going to The Freedom Tower Meeting, is so maybe they can

Work out to see if they can build The World Trade Center Memorial at The Ground Zero Site! That's why I read

it again Today! This Magazine is all

About World Trade Center. But, in it

it had a Scene of Mr. Leonardo Di

    Caprio Coming on Sept. 9th - 11th

2009! It might not be on the News because it is A Absolutely Private!

  • Your very welcome. I read that his

suppose to go up there for some

kind of a meeting for the Freedom

    Tower then something about this!

So, that's all I know so far but he

hasn't said anything about it in

    any interviews yet!

  • I've been hearing stories that Actor

Leonardo DiCaprio is going to The

Ground Zero Site In New York City,

    On September 9th - 11th, 2009. It

Is Told That He Is Going To Be the

Working Out To Make This Shine!

I read it in One of his Magazine's

In 2008 but I haven't heard him say Anything in his Interviews About It!

  • I lost my mom and dad that day I miss them so much

  • I'm deeply sorry for your profound loss. The world shares your pain.

  • @ShadowsFilmsStudios i cant imagine what that was like for you im sorry you went through that

  • @ShadowsFilmsStudios woah, max respect to you mate!

  • @ShadowsFilmsStudios May they rest in peace. I hope you can take some comfort in the knowledge that their murderer is now dead by American hands.

  • Fantastic !!!

  • BRAVO !!!! Build this !!!! somewhere in Central park PLEASE. Beautiful indeed.

  • I really like the memorial and i think its very beautiful, but which do most people prefer? the freedom tower or another twin towers? id like to know.

  • This is so great i think this is the greatest act of kindness people have done for awhile. God Bless the usa and god bless all those people who lost there lifes on 911. So very very sad..

  • Bravo!

  • Thats beautiful, I wish it never happened. I wish they were still there and all those innocent people were here with us today! The family of the people who perished are still in my prayers. God Bless America :)

  • its beautiful a nice way to reamember those inocent people just wish we could rebuild the twin towers again :(

  • Love the design! Powerful and uplifting. Gave me chills. Works even better at night when its illuminated. Too bad the design didn't win.

  • Plz Rebuild The Towers!

The Terrorist are winning if we dont rebuild them!

U build Freedom Tower, Memorial Park, and a Whole other new Skyscrapers at ground zero, and u rebiuld the towers Base Platforms so plz just rebuild them!

  • I love your idea of the towers memorial but i think we need to rebuild them the way they were in their footsteps, and a little stronger. and if the terroists attacks us again i feel we should nuke the middle east and kill every muslim, arab out there and distroy the islamic religion. (lol i have strong feelings)

  • beautiful design, but we need to rebuild the towers in my opinion. if we do this memorial, then the terrorists win.

  • fantastic work,i think they should rebuild the wtc like it was it looked amazing

  • beautiful :)

  • Great monument ! I love the idea of a transparent memorial, it became invisible Tours, and it will be more difficult to destroy once again by plane...

perhaps I suggest a little song for this sculpture :

(click on my name and choose "WORK IN PROGRESS")

  • that was a truly gorgeous design. I loved the illumination at night. would have been incredible had it been accepted!:))

  • This design has heart. Powerful, simple, effective.

  • This is what the memorial should be. Love the integration of the present "Tribute in Light" with your memorial. Great idea!

  • Simply beautiful! I can imagine how great this memorial would look in the center of Ground Zero.

  • Bravo! Awesome design. I love its simplicity and elegance. Too bad we'll end up with 2 depressing pits in the ground at Ground Zero.

  • Thank you. Regarding your comment about the approved design, I think Maya Lin, who designed the Vietnam Memorial, ultimately had great influence on the other judges. I think the sunken, below-grade theme worked well for the Vietnam Memorial, but, for me, the WTC shouldn't try to live in that memorial's shadow; instead, the design should be like an inspiring phoenix, rising from its ashes.

  • @gman3838 that purpose is served by the the different shaped towers that will rise all around the memorial and you are forgetting that its not just the 2 fountains but the pavilion building as well as the memorial museum beneath it why erect more in an attempt to replace what was stolen? show the gravity of the situation and let new growth rise from its ashes

  • @brigbjones. New Yorkers and the rest of America live with the "gravity of the situation" 24/7. The present memorial need not wallow in despair. Waterfalls of tears flowing into 2 depressing pits in the ground that flow into even deeper pits, are unnecessarily morose. You can memorialize the dead without instilling dread and hopelessness. That's not what America is. At least install lights at the bottom of the small, central pits, so from dusk til dawn, there would be some redemption and life.

  • @kaisersosay2 The Redemption and life is represented by the over 400 Trees surrounding the memorial and tower 1 and tower 2 that will be soaring over the entire park!

  • @TheRonster9319. FYI: Michael Arad, the designer of the memorial, did NOT have any trees or any other living thing in his official entry. Also, Towers 1 & 2 are part of Ground Zero's master plan, but are NOT part of the Memorial, itself.

  • @kaisersosay2 First, the design of pools include a forest surrounding them NOW so thats all that matters and the waterfalls look like they are going to be a beautiful, majestic and powerful place for people to gather around and mourn and remember the dead, Second You must be a fool to think that The Towers are not part of the memorial every detail of the entire site has a meaning even the exact height of tower 1 its 1,776ft tall and I hope you realize why

  • beautiful
