@lisolangka I'm sad to say that this is of the recent riots in the UK. A country that is fast changing from a, once more civilised country, into a third world country thanks to mass uncontrolled immigration, of the type of scum other countries do not want (and influence has spread to our own scum (one bad apple syndrome)). The white guy was allegedly also an immigrant from an eastern European country, thanks to our joining the European Union.
Luke do you have any videos specific to situations involving protecting your sidearm durring an attack? I live in Las Vegas were we are allowed to lawfully open carry firearms and i do . I would like to be just as proficient at keeping the weapon out of the hands of my enemy , as I am firimg the weapon. Any Ideas for techniques to try and practice?

@Elpapi702 I break it down to positioning, awareness and movement.
I teach it as a course with pistol retention but I haven't put it on a DVD as I'm a bit weary of what I put out there. I don't offer any firearms training via DVD..
The guys at Raw Combat USA Mid Atlantic have a youtube channel where they put up a weapon retention video series though, I do recommend you check that out. Thanks for watching, stay safe!
this is a tremendous video. situational awareness and readiness is such a crucial part of training. learning to be aware on the metro ride home after having worked 12 hours all night can be difficult and that's when you're most vulnerable...when you get complacent. Training is a lifestyle, not a chore.
Sorry for the double post but i couldnt fit it all into one comment bud lol, love the uploads i use them as constant refreshers on all past training and its always good to get more then one trainers perspective, top class content as always Luke
To all kids saying dont bring a knife to a gun fight, if you gun is holstered and your in a relaxed posture hand by your side etc, the the person holding a knife it within 75 feet of you tests show that the guy with the knife wins nearly every time, and at 50foot they always win, takes time do draw a fire arm and take a proper aim, doesnt take long to cover distance and slash like a mad man. Guns round out of ammo, a knife wont. All comes down to training
Thanks for addressing this issue whether the gun or knife benefits you there are a million variables involved and you must know what to do when you can't get to your gun. The fighting mindset put that big ass chair between you and the guy until you can do better throw stuff at the fucker do something.
I really respect your videos. Your not ones of these guys on youtube that teach these very linear fight techniques with these very elaborate complicated moves. When I took Combat Hapkido my instructor would only teach us techniques that would be great in a 1950's gangster movie where the guy grabs your collar or your wrist. I love those guys but they never took into account practicality and use, always style and form.
WOW! That liquor store scene was graphic as hell. If I was shopping in there, he probably would have injured 2 guys before I even realized what was happening. And did I just see a friggin MONKEY carrying and aiming an AK? WTF? Now I gotta find that video.
Thanks for the video and the great comments as always. I really like how you don't insult or demean the people that were in the situation. I see too many people on youtube pretending to be badass by saying demeaning the people in the situation. I also have to respect the guy that jumped in to help. I hate watching the London riot video more for the fact that no one helped that poor kid than for the jerks taking advantage of him. I wish we had someone like you here in Costa Rica to train with.
@TomFoolable Thanks, yeah - the internet is full of blackbelt-keyboard warriors who are the typical critics and experts.. LOL. I'm over your way quite often actually :-)
@TeamWuJin As someone who has been held up at gun point and had guys come at him with knives once, I know it's extremely difficult to think of anything at all. The time with the gun, the minute I say him taking out the gun I threw up my hands and told them to take whatever they wanted. Any notions of trying to be tough went right out the window.
@TeamWuJin If I remember right (both of these event are pretty much a blur), they got about $50 cash, a $100 ring, and a $5 watch. So nothing of any real value, only monetary value. With the guys with the knives, I was lucky I noticed them when they were coming, was faster than them, and could outrun them to a bank with guards. It's amazing how difficult it is to think of anything but oh my god I'm going to die in these situations.
Don't worry, all 3 of the victims survived. The one with the slit throat was lucky because he was *fat*, and the fat on his neck prevented the knife from going all the way through to his throat. He managed to keep pressure on his neck and actually walked to the hospital where he was treated.
@DawgFL thats good to know! i wouldnt even think of going to a hospital if that happened to me, i'd be straight on my phone calling my loved ones, something like 4 minutes for a neck bleedout isn't it? Hate c***s like that.
Situational awareness...isn't. If this is a typical store scenario in some average part of town, I'm not surprised it happened the way it did. The attacker comes in, he is determined to rob, maim and possibly kill. The guy at the counter is not aware of anything, gets his throat sliced from behind, the guy at the cashier thinks he's well protected by his pistol, but proably never trained for a scenario like this, is caught unprepared (just having a gun is like unprepared) and gets stabbed.
@TeamWuJin I was just about to ask if you had people in FL. Anyone else? I'm a Yang Taijiquan student/teacher in Gainesville, few hundred miles north so its a bit of a trip but hell it is closer than the UK or Japan. As always, I respect and appreciate your posts. thanks for sharing!
Totally agree with lack of awareness and complacency.Cant tell if the guy who got his throat slit was a customer or employee, but as you mentioned the guy at the cashier probably has never had something like that happen in the shop before and or never had anything like that happen to him out of the shop.Having the gun hidden away, probably means he hasn't really trained much with it, probably thought "I've got a gun, i'll be safe".I would have that holstered on my person at all times.Poor guys.
@faztclix In some areas (like NYC) you're not allowed to have the gun in a holster as a shop owner - but under the counter is legal. Jersey is the same kind of place I hear as is CT where I worked a short time at a counter.
i always watch your videos and wonder whether or not i would be able to react or protect myself in the right way if someone approached me with a knife. keep it up
@Morr1992 yh what actually happened is that after he got his throat slit, he tied his top around his neck to try and stop the bleeding, then made his own way to a hospital. The doctor told him if hewasnt over weight he would have died because it cut through the fat and only sliced his artery a little bit. I know this because I saw this video from theyoungturks yt channel who did a big review on it.

Americans use gasoline and lighter fluid for their victims.
The most assaulted profession in America is public bus drivers??? Next is taxi drivers.
Do a video how we can protect ourselves in these occupations. Thank You
