I'll repeat one of my previous comments:

If you use default control settings, just press "E" when you see a cab. If it's empty it should stop, if it isn't empty it won't. However, you can approach such a full taxi, press and hold "F" for some time - Nico will throw out the people sitting in the cab and take their place.

@naughtykrachead  you have to press E when near a cab, and then HOLD f when it tells you to (near the cab, also). if you press F once and not hold you steel the cab.

why cant you call for a taxi on your phone and use buses aswell instead of stealng cars and doing cheats for other cars and bikes

Actually you can call for a taxi :)... kind of... You can't use buses, but you can steal them :P You can use subway in the "normal" way, have a chopper tour around different parts of the city. But the name of this game is Grand THEFT Auto so it means something. Anyway, you'd have to ask Rockstar why this and why that :)

50-50: fraps lowers the fps as well as the PC is not efficient enough to play this title in a more comfortable way. It is still playable though.

You have to approach the cab and hold the button responsible for entering the car. Not just press it, but hold it for a while. Don't know which one it is on sixaxis, I play on PC.

No, you can't control cab in this game (unless you're on the driver's seat).

I don't know. It's a PC version that I played. You have to press the action key to whistle when you see a cab. Then if it stops, you have to hold the enter key. Remember: HOLD. Not just press, because then Nico will throw off the driver and just steal the car as usual. You have to hold it for few seconds.

Or just approach the cab if it stays on the red light or sthg and hold that key. Nico will throw off the people from a taxi and become a passenger himself.

I had tried overclocking it to 2,6 GHz but, except higher temps, I didn't see any fps difference so I've come back to 2,4 GHz. It has major problems with going higher than 2,65 GHz. I have to change the CPU to Phenom or sthg. Thank god my mobo has support for newest AM3 CPUs with new BIOS though it's AM2.
