  • why did the oxygen tank explode? did the tank not have fuseable plugs on it?

  • the roaring sound you heard was a sign of a propane tank BLEVE, Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion. First, the heated propane tank has all of the propane gas burned up. Second, the inside of the tank starts expanding causing a roaring jet noise. Third, the pressure inside the propane tank is too moch for the propane tank and the propane tank explodes.

  • i love the guy driving over the supply line

  • wondering why fi they had problems with hand lines why they did not used the dck guy to protect exposures ??? fowing 1000 gpm the fire would be out in no time

  • That was definitely a fire for a deck gun or at least a 2 1/2". Get a good knock down and THEN you can use hand lines to finish extinguishment.

  • if that was a 100lb propane tank, it wasn't very full.

  • oh fuck i just wet myself, that was scary....

  • yeah the explosions not really worth wait.

Im sure it looked cool, but its kind of dull on youtube.

fastforward to the last 30 sec if u wanna see it.

  • Oh shut up people. If any of you were there watching the fire you would think it was really cool. If not why would you even be watching videos like this. I think in the range of all the videos put on youtube, this one is pretty cool.

  • Boring..

  • Did this occur on Harvard Rd? That certainly looks like the old Toms' house on the right. If so, my mom lives next door. In fact, my grandfather built the house where the garage caught fire.

  • i watched for 6 min for a fart of fire

  • If you are going to repost this video from google, at least get the story correct. The explosion was caused by a 100 lb. propane tank, not O2. Quint 5-6 had 3 hose lines in service, not Engine 7. This can be verified by the article on the incident in the July 2006 volume of Firehouse Magazine.

  • Its great to see a police officer park and leave enough room for the fire apparatus.. Does my heart good!
