Medicare for all plus necessary dental and eyecare. It will create jobs, save lives and save us money in the long run.
How much do taxpayers pay per person for the streets and roads that we drive on? We don't know and, for the most part, don't care. Is it a trillion dollar government program? Paid for by the taxpayers? Same could easily work for healthcare. And should!
One government program does not equate to success for all government programs.
How many of those roads, freeways and highways are old, run-down and littered with potholes? How about our bridges and dams (remember Hurricane Katrina)? How is our air traffic control system that still operates on 1960s' technology?
And how many of our existing social programs, like social security and Medicare are broke or on the verge of going broke?

No, the CBO is the one that showed the current Bill will save $132 Billion over the first 10 years, $1.1 Trillion the 2nd ten... so it seems you are mathematically challenged since "lower costs" equals "lower taxes".
Most of the benefits happen immediately, so it's a good deal over the old plan which was going to bankrupt us if we didn't reform the system.

The plan wasn't even going to be implemented for years until after the next presidential election (how convenient), so your comment about benefits happening "immediately", let alone "most" of them, is totally false. It will be signed in a few weeks, so once that is done, everyone will understand, and will be glad we can join the rest of the industrialized nations and be competitive once again.

The "health" care bill is a theft of 1/6 of our economy from the private sector. The "bailout" of the banks/auto industries are backdoor takeovers. Money is not free, when you "bailout" these private sector industries, strings (ropes) attatched are contracted government control. In the Communist Manifesto Karl Marx laid forth the groundwork necessary to convert a capitalist society into a communist society with socialism being the in between stage. Taking over the above industries are the 1st.

No, the CBO is the one that showed the current Bill will save $132 Billion over the first 10 years, $1.1 Trillion the 2nd ten... so it seems you are mathematically challenged since "lower costs" equals "lower taxes".
Most of the benefits happen immediately, so it's a good deal over the old plan which was going to bankrupt us if we didn't reform the system.

Americans certainly want healthcare reform, they just don't understand what is in it quite yet. I've read most of it and it's wonderful.
It will be signed in a few weeks, so once that is done, everyone will understand, and will be glad we can join the rest of the industrialized nations and be competitive once again.

How could you have read a proposal that doesn't even exist yet ? A final bill hasn't been presented yet. The House bill is not "wonderful," but instead would be a catastrophe to American medicine.
And why do people like yourself feel that the US can never be a true nation unless it follows the path of socializing medicine like other countries? How will this make the US competitive? How does more government involvement make something competitive?

No, most all of my doctor friends are for the new plan, it will clear up billing issues, hold the healthcare cartel accountable and provide faster care for patients.
Socialized medicine? When has that ever been proposed? That's the UK system, but ours will remain 100% run by the private sector. We need to get the fat out of the system, we pay about twice of other nations, cover less people, and have worse health.
So the plan will move forward, can't wait!

Obamacare WILL NOT be 100% private. There are more tax increases associated with these bills than you can shake a stick at. The proposed bureaucracy for Obamacare is monstrous................

The "health" care bill is a theft of 1/6 of our economy from the private sector. The "bailout" of the banks/auto industries are backdoor takeovers. Money is not free, when you "bailout" these private sector industries, strings (ropes) attatched are contracted government control. In the Communist Manifesto Karl Marx laid forth the groundwork necessary to convert a capitalist society into a communist society with socialism being the in between stage. Taking over the above industries are the 1st.

Sorry. The health bill is purposefully set up as a structure creating over 100 new bureaucracies and agencies have the power to begin to regulate these private sector companies into nonexistance. Once again Obama speaks being "legally" accurate but intentionally misleading and disengenious. He is a poisonous man and so is this legislation and the good people of Massachusetts just let him know.

Thanks for the laugh, no new bureaucracies or agencies would be set up. It would be handled by existing department of health, the medicare division.
The people in MASS already have universal healthcare and are happy, so that wasn't the reason, Brown even supported and voted for it... it was more about they didn't like Coakley and the fact it was a special election, not a general election so turn out was extremely low.

the insurance industry is the 37th most profitable industry according to forbes. they only make a 1-2% profit margin. People who work and complain they can't afford healthcare need to grow up, not spend so much money on stuff that isnt as important, and buy it. There are ways to lower costs like allowing the companies to compete across states, and TORT reform. Taxing the companies does not lower costs. If you can explain how, then please do.

REAL Tea Party folks should not vote for Scott Brown but instead Independent Joe Kennedy. Unlike Scott Brown, Joe Kennedy will audit the Fed, oppose government run healthcare on any level, and opposes sales and income taxes. I was not just talking about the office of the president. I was talking about any public or assigned office. We have elected/assigned officials that weren't born in America and/or have dual citizenship. We need Americans in office. My whole point was that party affiliation shouldn't be more important than the issues we are facing as a nation. We need to be voting on the issues, not the party, sex or color of a person running for any office.
