Thank you very much for the video. I just want to add that not all books in pdf let themselves to be converted into a text format. I have tried with some but they are old and have been scanned with this and this imperfections, and then the computer doesn´t allow me to transform them into text , but other than that, it seems like i would buy a kindle very soon, not the 3G version, because i don´t have enough money to pay for that, it would have to be this one. Thks again

Since I made this video as SOON as I got my Kindle, I wasn't aware of the choppyness the conversion made... But it has not bothered me at all. At first you will notice a few missing letters, some extra spaces here and there, but In the last 7 months, I have read MANY converted PDFs to .TXT and I love it! Since I have all these PDF's it beats having to buy them on Amazon for 9$ a book.

The best way to fix the line breaks in a text file is to open the text file and copy the text into word. Then simply run auto-correct (search "word auto correct" if you need to know how to do this). Now all you have to do is copy and paste your newly formatted document into a new text file and add this newly created text file to your kindle

I really wished though kindle had a native zoom in option for PDFs .. also wished more formats otherwise its perfect to read a book although no color but it is the limitation of the e ink technology ...

@thereape420 Yea I really thought the PDF zoom issue would have been dealt with for the K3 because of all the complaints. But so far nothing... The good thing for me though is that I only read novels on my Kindle so I personally have no need for color. The format thing does suck but I suppose it's this way so you have to buy an AMAZON Ebook. Smart on their part, no good for us...

@parkersmommie I was searching for devices similar to kindle and found some really good ones iriver cover story and pocketbook 9 something..the coverstory has a lesser contrast and has a bit more glare... the pocket book is I think the best of all three it has this cool new voice over system that makes the sound more natural rather then those really dull robot like voices on the kindle...coverstory and the pocketbook both have better options interms of pdf support and memory capacity extension

the reason on 'some' of the pdf's you cant convert to text is because they are secured by the author. if you get a pdf password remover you can change any one
