Thanks BIG AL! I like Scenic Express mixed grass blend better than Woodland Scenics. Looks more realistic. GOOD JOB with the desert scene. I like the Graffiti on the UP loco, however here in OMAHA you'd never see that! The RR cops would be on you in 10 secs, however over in the BNSF yard (Gibson yard) you do see some of the former BN units local power gang marking all over it. I do frieght cars with graffiti decals (microscale makes real nice ones, easy to use). Thanks!
great vid Al, is mentholated spirits classed as alcohol for the water and alcohol spray? or could i use the woodland scenic cement spray instead? cheers mate
Thanks Al, i live in australia and the way you have done this it looks really dry and australian, well thats without the cactus so i would just like to say thank you very much
Dude AL your layout is kick ass! where and how did you ever learn how to build such an amazing layout and weathering job???? Please teach me the ways!!!
Hey bro looking good man and thx for the video on this :-) by the way just asking are you going to do a metrolink or surfliner running thru your californian scenery?
Excellant work! Have to agree with you and weveryone else about the glue. You can buy it in gallon jugs at craft stores. Question: Would it be easier to paint the backdrop before scenery or do you have a differnet technique?
Nice job Al, i hope that the people @ woodland scenics factory are still be able to deliver there products after the fire that broke out there last week. Their website says they can, but we will have to be patience.
Can you make some overview footage from your railroad in your next movie? More like a "walkthrough" of your hobbyroom/railroad, just to get an overall impression?
Looks Awesome! I watch all your videos and cant wait until you make new ones. You make it fun! and inspire me to try harder. Also good luck with your career in fire fighting, be safe!
whoa, Al, @ 8:48, what are ur boy scouts doin? they look like there killin and grillin a cow bro......lol.....is there a badge for that? Is Ted Nugent the scout master?
Great work. You have awesome skills. I might add that I am a Socal Native and you are right on with your layout design. You have great talent my friend.
Thanks for the great video Al! Helps a lot me, my brother and dad & just finished building the layout benchwork and foam base/carved mountains. Now its time for scenery, and i will definably use your tips! Oh and thanks for answering my past question about the train show, i hope to see you there!
