lol did you ever tried a mac in your life at all? i also thought the mac were shit, but i bought a macbook this christmas... and it's 100x better than any os ive ever had. only 7 can get really, REALLY but only close to mac os x. XP and 95/8 are good cause they are simple, fast and "awesome", but i think nowadays they are a bit old (im just saying!), although they are still awesome.

The kernel and hence the memory management is different, 98s GUI is XML/HTML based, 98 is more geared towards the Internet and what not.

And what the best OS is, is everyones personal thing. I prefer Linux, for example. That wont mean that Seven or XP or OSX is bad, they just wont work for me.
