in fact does it matter? what ennoys me a bit is that she could affect positively the way trans people are perceived in the world which should be like anyone else but this way she does not. having said that she is free to deny what she wants. good luck to her. freedom of expression is important.

She has never actually being able to change her oriental cheek-bones although she did change it a little with her face lifts & her nose, etc. Even with all the surgery, sex change & natural beauty, Amanda has always look like a transvestite (she had no feminine roundness, hips, or butt).

It is known fact that, Amanda was known as a young boy and she joined the transvestite scene in Paris where she befriended a few people. She was a man until 1963 or about when she had a sex change. But she was taking female hormones well before -from a very young age.

April Ashley published a photo of Amanda in her autobiography showing her as a teenage boy when they both worked at Le Carousel drag club in Paris in the late 1950's, it's there for anyone to see, Amanda is also featured in publicity photos for the club, you can see them online, she ws brunette then and very pretty, but it was a drag club.
