Nice TS! It's cool to hear some of "the Harum Scarum" tunes posted! This arrangement is 'bluesier' than the BLT version, lovem' both. Hearing the early version of this reminds me of "Another Day Another Night" which seems to be an early variant of "Day of the Eagle."
Thanks for sharing the Trower & Dewar posts TS! They are food for the soul.
No Island Lost from BLT. I think I would like to hear Dewar/Trower perform it like Trower/Bruce did on BLT, edgier and more crunchy. To late now. Thanks for the post!!!
Brilliant to hear unreleased Trower-I wonder if there is enough to make up a box set,it would be great to think so.Thanks for the posting.I prefer this version to the one released.
Anyone knows who wrote this? Never heard this with Trowers band, but it was on BLT:s only LP, wasn´t it?

Jimmy's the man, my favorite blues rock singer. As well, my favorite line up for the Robin Trower group: Jim, Robin and Bill.

Very different version of the song that landed on BLT with Jack Bruce singing. Real soulful bluesy groove to this one!
Watch for Robin coming to the USA in September 2009!

Much respect for Jack Bruce, but Jimmy Dewars voice elevates this song.

Absolutely. 'Lady Seldom Seen' in particular. I could imagine Roy Orbison singing that song too. He'd have had another huge hit with it.

It's always good to hear that voice. Thanks very much for uploading this. All the best - Steve.

Thanks guys. Do either of you think that 'Bless the Boy' and 'Lady Seldom Seen' feature some of Jimmies best singing?
