i dont really understand peoples who tape exaust pipes while revs, what difference does it make if we just hear the sound or steereing in those stupid pipes for several minutes ? I'mean I like the sound, but would rather watch exterior of the car in that case...

The interior is not right for a 911. It´s an interior for a large and family car, nothing to do with the tradition of porsche. The interior seems ridiculous for me. Day by day the 911 is like other cars, tradition is not being respected. It´s just my opinion.

@pymete I don't think so : the old interior was nothing but cold and not especially beautiful ! They've taken their inspiration from the Panamera and the Carrera GT... So the heritage is quite noble ! And they just made it beautiful and nice to sit in it !

@pymete I always that the 997 interior was long in the tooth, I was hoping for a modern version of the 993 and before, but that wasn't really ergonomic in view of the dial layout etc..

@MagicAyrtonforever is an interior for a sedan. The spirit of the 911 is gone. Whenever you saw a 911 it was different on the outside and inside. The interior is now like any other, has no personality. The exterior also has lost a lot of identity, but that loss is more pronounced in the interior. The 911 has become a marketing product. It's a shame.

@pymete I see your point saying that the 911 has always been related to a "sport" spirit and it still is ! It's now just as good as the other German cars like Audi's, Merc's and BMW's... See the Bugatti Veyron for instance : it's the fastest car in the world (so it's kinda sporty) and it has the best and most luxurious interior ever fitted in a car ! I think what Porsche has just done is made the interior as the clients wanted it... Because 99% of 911 owners won't ever do a single track lap.
