I wrote this once, and I'll write it again. This incident proves that something is amiss in the White House. The fact that these two boujie yups are not in jail FOR THEIR WHITE HOUSE SECURITY BREACH is totally unsettling. And the fact that it is unresolved. Our American government is a scary well of secrets.
How can anybody not love Joe, he's like our lovable national grandpa. Sometimes he blurts out the wrong thing ,the occasional social misstep only shows him to be a truly human politician. Also he is probably more qualified for office than anyone who has run for president recently .
It's ridiculous to ask Biden if the Salahis should be charged -- he's not their lawyer or a prosecuting attorney.
Asking him about the whole experience and what he was thinking at the time? Yeah, those are sensible questions. But asking him if they should be prosecuted? He gave the right answer to that one -- which is no answer at all.
What a stupid question. And where's that kid in that balloon? And what happened to Tiger, anyway?
Like nobody's ever been to a party where some randoms showed up. It doesn't seem like these Salawis did any damage except revealing how bad security is. Let 'em go... but the secret service needs some boot camp or something.
I like the reporter's logic at the end. So basically she's saying "The Slutahis have come up with an excuse backed up by claims they made in emails to us (that we obtained). Given that, do you still think there should be charges." Great reporting indeed.
On September 9, 2001, Joe Biden was on Meet the Press railing against Donald Rumsfeld's plan to cut the military and dump billions on Star Wars. Throughout the summer of 2001, Biden was all over the media warning that our biggest threat came from terrorism.
Biden was 100% right, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Rice were 100% wrong.
Could 9-11 have been prevented if Biden had been in the White House instead of the incompetents? Very likely.

@Richardgwm I think that's a liberal pipe dream, my friend. No matter who was in the white house, the US was still going to make horrible war-mongering decisions (Al Gore hinted about invading Iraq on the campaign trail); the democrats and the republicans are united in this way. So, inevitably, regardless of who was/is head of the executive, the US has done so many terrible things to so many people that we're lucky there hasn't been sustained attacks of all sorts against the US for decades.
This is just wrong. Invading Iraq was the special project of the neocons, and in particular a small cabal that entered the White House with Dickless Cheney and Bush. There's virtually zero chance that a Democratic (or even another Republican) president would have invaded Iraq. Afghanistan is, of course, a different story; the consensus on invading Afghanistan was bipartisan.
Uhh.... Don't you remember the US was bombing and sanctioning Iraq for the ENTIRE TIME Bill Clinton was president!? In fact, Albright was quoted as saying she thought the death of 500,000 Iraqi children was "worth it" in an effort to oust Saddam. Don't buy into the propaganda of the Dem. party which hypocritically states Dems. are against war. Clearly they are not! Iraq had been an invasion waiting to happen since Bush Sr. which is quite obvious if you look at the facts, my friend.
Uhh.... Yes, I recall the no fly zone over Iraq and all the bombing and cruise missile strikes quite well. If someone had asserted that any president, Democrat or Republican, would have imposed sanctions or a no fly zone on Iraq, I would have agreed. But that's not what the user below said. The user below said any president would have INVADED Iraq. And I believe that is false. Of course, neither one of us can claim with any certainty would would have happened, but I stand by my assessment.

Interesting how fast people forget what happened during the Clinton admin and how Gore was a war-monger. Gore consistently opposed efforts to cut defense spending, supported Reagans decisions to bomb Libya, invade Grenada, aid the Contras in the 80s, and fund the B-1 and B-2 bomber and MX missile programs. Gore's running mate, Senator Joe Lieberman, both backed the 1991 Gulf War. The point is, Dem. or Rep. in the white house doesn't matter, there will be war until we the people take action!

So why is Biden expected to explain himself?
He can't be expected to know who every guest is at every state function.
He did what he was supposed to do: mingle and be a pleasant guest, and pose for pictures.

Great point. Good luck trying to persuade conservatives, though. They couldn't care less about being right.
